Sam8850: It's quite painful with the booking system and not knowing what times of the day to check. I have been checking for a week now but all I see is April not even March.
If I can get someone to help me book a date in February I won't mind paying for the service. Its quite urgent and I don't want to use another Schengen country visa as my main destination is Berlin. Since it's really urgent, I suggest you go through Poland. You can go from Lagos to Warsaw then take a bus or train (6hrs on average) to Berlin. Or go to Zielona Gora (city in Poland) from Lagos and take a bus or train (2+hrs) to Berlin. |

ifyalways: I really doubt this.
We have been checking from 2 different countries and timezones, the only date we've ever seen was in April.
They replied our email to say we should keep checking. They are better off locking and shutting down the whole portal or keep it fully open, so you pick whatever date that is available as opposed to asking one to keep checking and checking with no timeframe.
The couple are now thinking of paying an agent to get them a date since they want to use Germany at all cost because its less stressful for them( they wont need interview or biometrics) I checked it the first time solely for the purpose of sending you the link. And I saw the available dates myself. No reason for me to drop a false claim. Was shocked to see the portal had closed up when I tried checking on the second instance. I still believe there are some available dates because my mum was able to book February 13th a short while ago (only Feb and April were available then too) and they have ample time slots per day for this interview category. Maybe they should just opt for the agent then. |

Onnjohnson: Just normal interview questions. But the reason given for the rejection is " There are doubts concerning the indicated purpose of your trip " The error is most likely from your interview or motivational letter. Maybe you expressed your intention to stay back in their country or didn't convince them enough that you only want to gain knowledge. |

Sam8850: Please, what time of the day did you check and found a date in February? I'm seriously looking for a February date, I checked mid-night yesterday and only found for April.
Can you please assist me? Checked by some minutes past 10am yesterday. Saw from Feb 12th if I remember clearly. Just checked now and it's closed. There's no available dates in March though (it has been like that since earlier this month). Just keep trying. You'll get. |

ifyalways: That's the same link they use. No, they don't click on student visa( long term) they click on Schengen visas and there are no available dates.
I have just followed your link, no available date. Did u check it before u posted? I wish I took a screenshot before posting the link. There were many available dates then but not any more. Meaning it has closed up for the day. Maybe they should check by 12:05am and 8:00am |

They even tried checking midnight, no success. The link for booking interview for tourist (Schengen) visa is different from that of student visa. I replied your previous post with the right link. There are available dates in February |

johndan103: INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT BELOW
Admission Letter: Arrived around august 2018.
School: Bahaus University Weimar (Computer Science for Digital Media) and Masters in Research and Computer Science Ilmenau. (I'm still not decided on the best option in terms of stress of study, accommodation and job opportunities)
Background:I didnt know about this thread until about 3 weeks ago so I thought i could only use Deutche Bank for the blocked account therefore i had to spend 3 months trying to get an account and funding it. By the time i realized i had other options for my blocked account, time had been far spent so my option was to go for summer semester (April 2019). After funding i couldnt get a date for visa interview so i had to pay one lady close to the embassy 40k just to get me a date.
Date of Interview: 8th Jan 2019
I work and live in Lagos mainland but i decided to get a hotel on the island because i had too many delays during this process of schooling in Germany and i didn't want to take any more chances.
I got a hotel at Igbosere road for 5k on the 7th of Jan. I didnt need to go to the embassy because i had been there severally. After booking i hung my suit arranged my docs as specified in the checklist. I practiced all i had read on this thread and heard from peeps in DE.
After that i called my babe to come keep me company at the hotel room after she closes from work by 10pm. I went out of the hotel room to get some food, beer and smoked one wrap under the bridge at CMS.
I returned to the room to remember all i had learnt about germany, Weimar, and my school. I could not sleep that night cos i was very restless. I kept checking my time and reading about Germany.
When it was 3am i got up and took a shower. I asked my babe to request taxify for me. By 4am i was on my way to the embassy. In 10mins i arrived the embassy and i saw the usual touts there. I didnt even bother to reply cos one guy assumed i came for US visa and i didnt bother telling him i came for German visa. I allowed him to waste his time before asking him to get a decent job and stop scamming people.
The main gate leading to the embassy gets opened by 5am. When it was time a soldier opened it and we all entered. I was the only person going to the German embassy at that time. I went and waited at the security post. The security man came and asked me to leave until 30 mins to my time.(7am). so i left and went to use the atm to top up the cash i had in case the exchange rate fluctuates.
I came back and stood on the line and waited till 6:30am before the arrogant and uncouth Paulinus started praying which lasted a few minutes (I think a petition should be written against Pulinus, he doesn't deserve to be there) then we were asked to come with our appointment letters and passport.
Student visa applicants were 3 that morning and i was the first. The key to having it smoothly is getting all your documents arranged based on the checklist even tho Paulinus might do his own rearrangement. But just be ready to provide your docs and photocopies as requested by Paulinus.
After the arrangement i was ushered in. Just after being searched, i dropped my fone and i didnt go into the main building. I did my interview standing close to the exit hearing all they were discussing outside but i didn't allow it distract me.
The VO was a young lady who types slowly. Shes very polite (as it should be).
MAIN INTERVIEW
VO: Hello
ME: Hi, Good Morning
VO: **inaudible**
ME: Sorry i didnt get that (note that there is a bullet proof glass between me and her so she was not so audible)
VO: Please pick up the fone
ME: **Picks up the fone**
VO: Which School
ME: Bahaus Unversity Weimar
VO: Course
ME: CS4DM
VO: **Checks my docs and asks me to sign if my info is correct**
ME: **signs**
VO: why this course?
ME: I answered
VO: Why germany
ME: Inconsistent academic calender in Nigeria, cheap education comparatively etc
VO: why not US or UK
ME: Cost
VO: What do you know about Germany
ME: i told her all i had been reading on wikipedia
Note: she was typing slowly, so i was dictating carefully, i didnt rush her and she didnt rush me. it gave me time to think of more points
VO: What do you intend to do after studies
ME: Return to Naija and lecture
GOD: Stupid liar
VO: What is your present house address
ME: wrote it on my form and signed
VO: Okay, we are done. Do u have any questions?
ME: When do i get my originals certificates back?
VO: I cant say. Expect an email from us anytime. We will contact you via email
ME: Ok thanks, Have a nice day.
VO: Have a nice day too. bye
So she handed me my passport and i left to go and get my stuff from the security and they were asking me to please give them something. In my mind i was wondering if they dont get paid or must every Nigerian in a public space beg like cops.
I did as if i didnt hear and i zoomed off. I went out by 7:45. Interview lasted about 30 mins (standing). I was the first to go in and first to come out. Others were asked to go to the back if they couldnt provide their docs quickly. The queue was still much when i was leaving.
If i had known the thread earlier it would have saved me lot of time and money. But better late than never as they say. For those preparing for interview. Please read all past transcripts. Thats sufficient with respect to what you will expect. make sure all ur docs are complete and you have photocopies. Follow the checklist strictly and have 3 copies of ur CV(one original and 2 copies). I wrote my letter of motivation on a plane sheet. About a page and half in length.
Right now i'm waiting to get my AM so that i can resign and jet out. I'm also working on getting accommodation in Weimar cos accommodation apparently is an issue for German students.
I wish you all success.
Cheers Well done and congratulations in advance. |

It's possible to air or counter an opinion without having a rude undertone or being aggressive upfront. The thread is no man's land. Do what you can to help and leave the rest. If a question or opinion seems silly to you, addressing it politely or skipping will save a lot of stress. |

Mystique20: This is a totally selfish way of approaching the issue, doing this clogs the system, hindering those who ACTUALLY HAVE THEIR ADMISSION. We should try to be considerate in all we do. I booked only after getting admitted but on realizing it's possible to do so while waiting, I thought to share because the folks here might as well be made aware of the "work around." Instead of just waiting till God-knows-when. There's provision to cancel and if done properly, I believe the date becomes available. |

Reichtum: I discourage this Bro. Get your admission letter 1st and book your appointment. Many slots will be wasted if your advice is followed just as it happened last year. Right now, the earliest application date one can get is mid-March which is just about a month from the enrollment deadline of most schools. Keep in mind that not every school gives an extension. So imagine schools handing out admissions in February. What then should that applicant do? PS: why do people assume almost everyone here is a guy? I'm not a "bro" please. |

Ogoonna: Hello group i need help if anyone can render with an idea!. I did my interview on the 25th October and had issues with the admission letter sent from sch, even the vo told me to contact the sch and tell them them that the letter wasn’t complete and i shoud send them the complete letter by email, I contacted sch and send them the letter i had byt got rejected with reason “ you couldn’t provide a valid admission letter from a german university ( although interview went well) “ so i start again to contact the sch and they agreed they would send me another complete letter this tome but only 5weeks before admission date! Which is 29jan, so I forwarded the the sch gave me to embassy letting dem know d status, then during end of dec i go the complete letter this time and even a map of my state and so on! Then emailed embassy asking for them to review my application nd for a date of a new interview date cos no space on website, the replied saying “ do you want to appeal the decision of the embassy or do you want ro register for a new appointment” I replied, i wanted a date so i can meet up with my time. ( I didn’t want to appeal not to take chances and the time factor of 4weeks don pass). I got a reply few days later saying “ thank you for your email, send your name, adress and documents as attachment to students@lago.diplo.de”. This was on the 2nd of Jan, when i got the email and I quickly replied, that same day nd sent them everything( but this wasn’t the email i was using to Communicate with them) but since that 2jan I haven’t heard any reply or date given to me yet!. I emailed them again and still nothing and my time is fast approaching. What can i do?? I also attached that last email i got from them. Any suggestions will help a long way really. Thank you Please if you don't mind me asking, what exactly was missing from your application? |

Aerofly76: My first time here. Been a guest and seen the thread from part 1-5. Lovely thing you folks here are doing. It's an encyclopedia here, for those who like to read. Before NL, I took interest in Rhine Waal university of applied science in Kleve against winter 2019. MSc Mechanical engineering. They want IELTS/TOEFL by force. Then there this exam I've never heard of TestAS. Making enquiries told I could write it at Goethe institute Lagos and if Lagos isn't a center, Accra is the closest. I never read anything like that here. Anyone know what the exam is like? Past questions or something? I've also not seen or read any other school making it a requirement. I won't mind any info as regards this TestAS. Also, on this school, I'm looking at a PhD outside Germany later on, will I qualify? I read outside NL that some schools MSc in Germany don't exactly qualify to go in for PhD. Please if you have info as regards this also, I love to know
Finally, I'm also looking at Technical University of Munich - MSc Computational Mechanics for winter 2019. If there's anyone along that line, we could have a lot to share. Danke TestAS is usually for undergraduate studies. Please reconfirm the requirements for your intended program and explore other options. Try to apply to nothing less than 4 schools if you can afford. |

Whether you've gotten admitted or not, just book an appointment. They only ask for passport number and email address. You should have gotten your admission letter before the appointment date. Worst comes to worst, you cancel a week before. |

zuperyh8: Hi, I got it, however it will be best if you ask your questions here so other people can benefit as there is little info on Rhine Waal on the forum. But if you still want to communicate via email, no wahala. I just responded to your email. Okay, I understand perfectly well, but my question wasn't going to be about the application process of school itself as I have been admitted myself. I would just like to liaise regarding visa matters and eventual migration (if we choose to accept the offer). |

Highbeeyajibola: The issue about restricted course is the time taken for the admission decision to be out and considering u have to book an appointment early enough, if u desire the course u can get admitted with strong gpa with some factors attached, but ur best but is to apply as to many schools as possible. Thanks a lot |
