Hallo alles,
I want to know what are other documents one can use for "Biography Old Documents" aside from Library card and Baptismal card??
Secondary school testimonial, though it doesn't carry a photo of you but it is tenable.

Good morning my good people.

Congrats to those that have gotten their AM.

Is there anyone with interview date, 18th or 20th February still awaiting AM?

I am still waiting for mine but hopeful it will come this week.
I think you should write to your school asking if enrolment can be done by proxy. If yes, see how you can make that work (if it gets to that, which I hope it doesn't).

Go to the embassy around 12pm and tell the security man that you have an inquiry. He will put you on the queue and Paulinus will gently attend to you..it will be excellent if you can tell him who you VO was.. But the first thing you will do is to tell him the problem you have...please and please nobody will walk you out of German embassy not even the security if you came for an inquiry ( talking out of experience) do it ASAP.. May God be with you.
Please tell us more about the said experience.

My dear family,

One of my status on uni-assist is showing faulty and I remembered someone complained of same thing a few pages back.

Please come online and tell me how yours was resolved or name the additional document they requested for.

Anyone with information on the way forward should please come to my aid.

Looking forward to a prompt reply in this regard.

Thank you all so much.
They usually send a document via mail which contains the breakdown of your individual applications. In it, the deficits are highlighted so check your mail for every document they sent you and go through them. If the application deadline hasn't passed, you should still be able to salvage the situation.

This is will helpful to me, especially as i am aiming for Summer (next year April) intake.

Do you have any idea on the kinda accomodation schools provide and how much they would cost per session, semester or month.

Thanks brov
Student accommodations vary from single apartments to communal living spaces. I believe the most popular ones are Wohngemeinschaft (shared apartments with person bedroom but shared living room, kitchen and bathroom in some cases). The more things you have to share, the cheaper the cost. Prices also vary from city to city but have an average of €210 per month in mind for a shared FURNISHED apartment of 3 people.

Note that they usually have laundry rooms too.

A deposit which is the sum of 3 months rent (also known as the Kaution fee) is usually required before moving in, to be returned at the termination of the rental contract provided no damages were incurred during the rental period. The rent will be deducted montly from your account if you choose the direct debit method (most convenient).

I hope this answers your question smiley

DemigodZeus147:
Please, does this require payment at this stage?
No. Some big cities require an admission letter or enrolment certificate to be uploaded during the application.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Opinionator: 8:13pm On Mar 07, 2019
Just a reminder for winter applicants:

Don't forget to apply for accomodation as you apply for admission. The most affordable accomodation are the ones provided by the school and they can be applied for via the student services website.

Google "Studentenwerk + name of city your school is located" it should bring up the the website of the particular one which serves that city.

Applying months ahead is key as they only grant offers when they become available which could take a long time. You can even apply now for next summer.

Wggesucht.de can be used to search for private residences but it's relatively more expensive.

I wish us all glad tidings in our quest.

Hello All, I'm a new comer.

Thanks for all the comment.

I would want to start saving for the block fund. Is it OK to open the block account now and save monthly inside the account?
Hello,

I'd advise you to open a Euro dormiciliary account instead for that so when the money is complete, you make the transfer directly into your Blocked Account.

The lady who interviewed me was quite nice, Paulinus was his usual obnoxious self, all in all the interview lasted about 10 minutes.
Here are the questions asked:

1: what are you going for?
2: msc or Bsc?
3: why germany?
4: why not Nigeria?
5: why not us, UK or any English speaking country
6: Why this course?
7: tell me facts about Germany not stories
8:what do you intend to do after your programme?
9: have you learned German?
10: what was your Bsc thesis?
What's the name of your program and university?
Congratulations! Be sure to testify soon

While the same A1 here na about 67k, though u need to be in Lagos for Goethe
You can school wherever you are (if they have a good German language institute) then register as an external candidate to write the exam in Goethe. I'm doing A2 in a pretty good school in Benin City and will write Goethe's exam.

You expect me to read this whole thread.....oga i don't have that time if you're not answering my question then free me
The person you're expecting to answer you, how do you suppose the person became knowledgeable about the subject matter? If you can't do your research on some basic things via Google or past pages of this thread, the least you could do is be humble.
