Politics / Re: Comply With NNPCL Regulations, Arewa Youth Urges Dangote Refinery by Opiosko: 7:21am On Jul 29
Ghana must go bags must be moving around now. SMH!
FG/NNPC and Dangote are fighting for their own selfish purposes. Non of them have the interest of Nigerians at heart.

The fight is for who would get wealthier, and the whole essence of wealth is to enslave others... Nigerians....

Business / Re: How Do I Stop This Bad Habit? by Opiosko: 3:20pm On Jul 04
AbokiWam:
My Salary is a little above #100, 000 naira, My friends know I am working which brings enormous pressure on me, They think it is a high paying job because of the Corporate dressing and all.

I don't Know if it is the hardship from this era, but now 4 out of every phone calls someone receives is usually them asking you to lend them money. Currently self I am skeptical of answering phone calls. Work Colleagues also do not spare you in this regard.

My problem now is I am too soft hearted, Any small story and I am already heading to my bank app to do transfer for,

Beginning of June, money I lent to a total number of 7 different people was running into almost 60,000 naira.
At the start of July, Only two people have paid me back (5000 & 4000)

Because of that I promised myself not to lend anyone money again from my salary, but Just this morning I got a call from someone I know , he was crying to me of his salary being delayed at work.
He pleaded with me to lend him #10,000 which I obliged, Knowing fully well I wont get my money back (He has borrowed 8k from me before without paying back)

I think something is wrong with me, I can even go to loan app to borrow and gift a friend if I don't Have

Same borrowing habit almost ruined my Dad, it destroyed his friendship with a close pal, he borrowed his friend #800,000 back IN 2011 when money still had value, the friend refused paying and that crumbled his business for a while.

My Mom have warned me if I continue, I might experience same.

I really need to change...
If every one should pay me money they have owed me, I would be able to buy honda baby boy
This is a bad habit I need to stop.

Continue your good work.
When you learn your lesson about human ingratitude and betrayal, you will stop.

I will leave you with this quote from William Shakespeare in Hamlet....

"Neither a borrower nor a lender be, For loan oft loses both itself and friend, And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry"

Pls which town in Delta State and how much an acre?
Aniocha south.
Acre is as low as 600. Can be lower if you are buying more than 3. Very fertile lands. Just a year cultivation will cover it.

These people are playing on our intelligence. So all the hype about Dangote refinery was to make fuel more costly for Nigerians?

We all know that Nigerian rulling class are irredeemable, but this is beyond belief.

Drastic action is needed to save Nigeria from the principe.

I don't like sermons that looks like threats. A true father will always love all his children, even the rebellious ones because he will know about human frailties, and that many things are beyond our control in life.

Happy Father's day to real fathers.

I hope that your 7 old princess won't be among the future AI cooks?

Dey play.

The point is that the kid is way TOO YOUNG for cooking, not that cooking is bad. How did you miss that? Visit any hospital ICU and ask those with burns what happened, you will better understand my POV.
Funny how people easily go into defensive mode.. Naija do do many things to our psyche.

That was how my maternal uncle's 10 years old daughter set their house on fire via gas cooker.
She's cooling off in heaven with her concerned dad who dived into the inferno in an attempt to rescue her.

She's too young nah!!
My 7 years old princess has never been into the kitchen, not even clearing her own dishes.

I pray she doesn't burn your house while trying to impress you. She's ready way too young for this..

Are loan apps institution included?
I want to buy a share in the them because they are making mad money through their insane interest rate.

But wait, what happens if someone borrows money and don't pay back, will the loan be lost just like that?

Quest7777:

But the report said he stopped & went back to search for the man. 🤔
That's what he would be expected to say.
Or did you think the police found the body in space?
Shits happens, you know. He was already frustrated that he couldn't go to Asaba again, and was surely not in the best state of mind.
My take is that he either feared being mobbed and he fled the scenes or he initially wanted to run away but change his mind.

That's why the police should investigate...

Fine.
But he will still face manslaughter charges & pay compensations to the man's family.

But how come he couldn't find the man after knocking him down? Perhaps the man could have survived if rushed to hospital immediately.
He was probably speeding and knew from the impact that there was no hance of survival.
Poor guys!

Career / I Pity Pastors, Do You Your Pastor's Allowance? by Opiosko: 10:31pm On Feb 19
Pastors are actually not paid, they only get living allowance to cover their expenses.

Many true men of God are suffering.
A pastor with a wife and 3 kids being paid #24,000/month working full time. And he's no rookie, already put in years..
Imagine working 24 hours everyday
.. literally doing 24/7
Visiting
Counseling
Evangelism
Teaching and Preaching
Intercessory prayers including fasting & midnight prayers.

Pastors earns less than any other occupation globally. Pastors wives and children are suffering but no one sees anything wrong with it. Even the folks they are serving are mocking them and trying to bend them to their whims. But they will vilify all of them when there's any little opportunity.

Pray for, and support your pastor, he's probably hiding a lot of pains and tears from you.
Religion / Re: Why Did You Reduce Or Stop Going To Church? by Opiosko: 8:46am On Feb 18
GodThankYou:
I haven't stopped but church has changed a great deal, don't get me wrong money is essential to promote God's work but now it seems the only thing churches care about is devicing various means to seek for money.. very distressing
Try to get into the church committee, so you can be a moderating voice from the inside. Truth be told, many churches desperately need funds, while some are scam centers.
