you obviously didn't read the article carefully and thoughtfully because if you did you will notice that the points she raised and discussed is what is affecting over 80% of mothers, wives and women in nigeria. more than 70% of those women going to pastors, imams ,shieks and prophets are always molested or should I say slept with by these people and yet they don't say it out. Do u know whether your family member is among them? She has raise very good point and which is the devil targets these women with lies and fake prophecies and once they swallow it they are hooked. Many married women are sleeping and servicing the sexual fantasies of their pastors and imams all in the name of getting a spiritual solution to their problem. If I were u I will take this woman advise and warn any female member of my family or friends about the dangers of listening and believing many prophecies.
Many has mental problems but few are roaming the street. I read all and it reminded me of a maid in our fomer estate who scream and howl about the whole compound about being spiritually tormented by her employer....funny enough, when they found out and asked her to go, she begged tearfully to stay... Also, i'v seen so many people like her come out to give testimony like hers, i know the state they are now. She needs her drugs pls.

Even though i hardly discuss my marriage issue with people, i called her dad this afternoon to explain what happened. He was surprised and later talk to her including her mum

I know it could have been worse reporting her to my own parent
Mitcheww! Why did u report her? All the good u did by not laying a finger on her has been undone..... U want to hear "She was in the wrong"... Yeye!
FamilyRe: How Do U Handle Abused In A Marriage As A Husband? by Opiosko: 7:56pm On Dec 13, 2014

We have always heard about husband abusing their wives. How is it always like, the other way round? I have never laid my hand on any lady before not to talk of my wife and i don't think i can do such.

As a husband how do you handle it if your wife lay her hand on you either by slapping, punching, biting or rough handling? As a wife, how did your husband handle the situation?

I have been married to my wife going to 4yrs now and yesterday was the second time we had misunderstanding that led to serious confrontation.....Initially when it all started around 9pm, i kept quiet and didnt respond to her ranting. When she realized i wasn't responding, she moved close to me, started punching me, bit me and somehow slapped me in the process with serious ranting "you'll kill me today."

I tried as much as not to retaliate and removed myself from her, ran to the visitors room and locked myself in there....she continued talking and started hitting the door with a stick, after which i realized that with the way things are going, neighbours on the next flat might want to come and asked what was wrong, which i do much detest.

I started begging her from inside after which she calmed down and i opened the door.....we talked it through till late in d night and settled our differences which she later apologised for raising her hand on me and promised never to do that again no matter what happened.

The issue now is, i put myself in another man's shoe that how do people handle things like this in marriage as a husband?

As a wife, how did your husband handle issues of misunderstanding? The first thing that came to my mind yesterday when she hit me was the word of my boss who always say, AT THE HIGHEST POINT OF PROVOCATION, ALWAYS EXERCISE CAUTION.

Married peeps, how do u handle this?
Respect bro! My girl did same thing whn we were dating and i can tell it's so annoying seeing ur woman take advantage of ur 'gentleman gesture' to act the tough woman... In my own case, i was forced to hit her and threaten her with severe beating which worked.... We stayed up all night talking abt it and she apologised tearfully. I don't think such a thing will happen again (not cos of fear of beating), but cos of the talk we had later. She now understand that i can't beat her, and she has a boundary that can't be crossed without consequencies.

We're here talking, using our mouths and fingers, meanwhile this brilliant little girl was the one facing the abyss, with her very own body on the line. People don't care until sh)it happens, believe me. I'm pretty sure that she made efforts to refuse the advances of the brute before deciding to get rid of him.

Appealing to tradition is like making an appeal to absurdity. If a group of people decided to chop off the heads of their firstborn children, out of tradition, should we allow them?

There are lots of adult women everywhere, including where this man lives. Sick, sick, man. I'm glad he got taken out. The collateral damage is tragic, of course, but most collateral damages are.
Ur mindset is troubling me. Do u mean that killing is the only option she has got?... Pls it's not as if she killed them accident or in a fit of sudden anger. This is a pre-meditated murder. For a young girl of her age to know nothing but how to plan and kill shows the kind of evil inside her. I condamn all of them and also pity them cos there's is no winner here. They are all victims.

she should be hung by the next until pronounced dead, anyone who takes another person's life willfully deserves the same treatment. the girl has to die

We don't need those genes in the population. They are deleterious, Nigeria has enough problems as it is.

The girl didn't go out and kill random people. She killed a pedo)phile who had probably already r)aped her and a few appeasers.

Even if it turns out that one of the deceased was another child, it would be tragic, but the parents would still be the ONLY ones to blame. Producing offspring is a completely voluntary process. If you make them, you're responsible until they become old enough to assume that responsibility.
There are many options for the poor child, it's just unfortunate that she choose to kill. Pls the man is not a "pedo", the marriage is legal under their custom. Let's not see the man as a criminal, but see a culture that should be stopped.

My world will offer her the help she needs but will never applaud her crime. She committed a pre-meditated murder and she must be made to understand that her approach to resolve her problem was flawed, dagerous and evil. That's the point.

Why is she guilty? Is it for insisting that marriage should only occur between two consenting ADULTS?

I happen to share her opinion. The guy was breaking the law and expecting to be rewarded with food. Nature always balances herself out.

The parents of the girl are the ones responsible for those homicides.

If anything, these events show that the girl has a good head on her shoulders. She needs a scholarship.
Broda pls stop. I'm not from that part but that marriage is legal. While we must keep fighting to put an end to child bride and all shades of child abuse, we must condamn all extreme acts like hers. The child's action is reprehensible and barbaric. She needs help, but not the kind u pple are offering.

Well, true, that.
If he's the pestering kind who just won't understand no matter how I try to make him see, I employ maximum avoidance, to a fault.
I won't even accept any gifting or make him feel comfortable around me.

There are people too, that we meet, who you bond with and at the same time you just know, this one's filial.
I have one in particular who does exactly what you've described below.
He tries to steer clear because he knows it won't happen, yet He loves me deeply.

Now whether he agrees or not, there are those times when we all need someone to show us that they care.
That's what I try to do despite his feelings for me or not.
I think he understands.
I also know when to cut off, like go radio silent.
It all boils down to wisdom being profitable to direct a person's path.
Adannaya u are wise...but my new wife is wiser. Truely, Wisdom is profitable to direct....
