NwaIdeato: Shows how naive you are...Traditionally SW don't give bloc votes, now with Seyi as Atiku's running mate all Atiku needs in the SW is just 25% of the total votes which he will easily get with Seyi, remember there is still a decent PDP structure in the SW...Atiku already has the South on his ace card, and will even get sympathy votes from the SE! Whether he picks a SWner or not, SW will always split votes. Remember, they say they don't always put all their eggs in one basket, therefore even tinubu is not sure of the largest chunk of votes in the SW. The muslim-muslim ticket will also turn off so many yoruba Christians and tank some of APC votes in the SW. 2023 will be interesting walai. |

OBOTOTHICK: If the ibos are wise, this is yet another opportunity to align with the mainstream politics, you cannot do the same thing every time and expect a different result, the mistake of 2015 is about to repeat itself whereby you openly insult buhari, his tribe and called his region backward gworo chewing head slamming terrorists and then turn around at election time that you want him to annoit one of you because you believe it's your turn, buhari didn't do anything tangible for your region, heaven didn't fall and that didn't stop him from winning the second time and here is another opportunity, you may not vote Tinubu but stop the campaign of hate against his personality Pratical politics 101 The choices before the East. 1) Voting APC and waiting for 16 years WITH ZERO GUARANTEE of SE presidency. OR 2) Voting PDP and waiting for 8 years with some glimmer of chance (no matter how little) of SE presidency? This is practical politics and the East is choosing the second option. |

Politics › Re: The Igbo False Equality Claim And Why They Never Deserved To Have Kings by Oplomo: 4:34pm On Jun 08, 2022 |
AntiMahdi: Equality is the spear tip used by Marxists and Communists to seize hold of a population.
Today's Communist and Marxist champions can't get enough of Equality in their quest to usher in their Communist Order. To achieve this they are attacking meritocracy as racists and shoving the degeneracy of the LGBTQ as the new normal. They are also prepping the once affluent western nations to see less as more and pushing deliberate economy crashing policies to further impoverish the west.
It is all geared towards stripping society of its elite and middle class and replacing it with communist order with an impoverished , godless and ignorant population .
This is reverse social engineering in progress to transform the west and the larger world into an ant like colony.
But has there been any society or civilization with true equality in the past?
Other than pockets of "slave islands" doting the Roman empire that sprung up in the aftermath of the Spartacus revolution, I am yet to think of a truly equal society. Even among the noble freemen of ancient Greece with their Republican States which our igbos love to compare themselves to, there was no true equality as even the freemen knew how to appreciate their betters whom they will in turn see as role models to emulate and to guide them.
So what exactly were the Igbo society and why did they not have kings ?
From present Igbo land we can see a lot of confusion as there is no clear distinct cultural or traditional authority which translates to the Igbos rubbing shoulders among themselves .
"The Igbo has no King" jargon is used by Igbos to state that their ancient societies never needed Kings because all men where considered equal.
But if you delve in deeper you will see that the Igbo society was founded like one of those Slave island pockets in the midst of the mighty Roman Empire.
If the original founders of the democratic Republican state, the Greeks saw reason to appoint kings why then did this pocket island of a land of no kings come about?
The truth is that even among the freest and most noble democratic Greeks, kings were seen as a necessity. It is only in slave colonies like that of Spartacus or that in French and Dutch Guyana formed deep in the tropical rain forests of the Amazon by runaway slaves was there truly no need for a king as all runaway slaves saw themselves as equal slaves.
Where the forbearers of Igbo society runaway slaves from other powerful kingdoms who settled in their current location in SE Nigeria?
Well it sounds more plausible than claiming to be Jewish in my own opinion. Mr fufu-and-eba conspiracy theorist. Who be the fufu and who be the eba for this your new conspiracy movie? |

As for me and the millions of wise ones out there, it is B.A.T.!!!! You have the right to deny statistical facts and become an utopian in euphoric celebration because tinubu won the APC ticket which was predictably likely except a consensus was chosen. Ebubu: thank you Did Ndigbo ask the SE delegates to go and collect dollars and vote for tinubu? Did Ndigbo ask Uju ohaneye-ego or whatever she calls herself to step down for anybody? In APC anything is possible, we saw a picture the other day of Femi Kayode wearing 'ABIA state delegate' apron. Is he from Abia state? How are we even sure the delegates from Imo are not northerners Uzodinma picked from Ama awusa cattle market in Obinze Imo state? We learnt on Channels TV that some delegates could only write in Arabic and then get a party agent to interprete and transcribe the names. You don't even need a school certificate to be a delegate. The people who vote on behalf of nigerians ( who are PhDs, M.Sc, Doctors, Scientists, Profs, Engrs etc) as delegates do not need to be literate or lettered. E no shock you? APC is 'the more you look, the less you see' party. Anyway, congrats to President Atiku Abubakar for the next 4-8 years. May God keep us all alive to enjoy the drama next year. Insha Allah! |

We may all not like it. But Atiku is the next president of Nigeria. Nigerian politics is not that difficult to predict, we just have to jettison emotions and embrace geopolitical statistical truths staring us in the face and you'll make the right prediction. Even tinubu's supporters knew this, that was why they campaigned very hard to ensure Wike gets PDP ticket. Because he will be easier to campaign against for them. When Atiku emerged, tinubu supporters and members felt exactly the way many anti-tinubus feel today. That should tell you all what need to know. |

Politics › Re: Igbos And Yorubas Are The Closest Tribes by Oplomo: 2:16pm On Jun 08, 2022 |
Oplomo: 2000 bought delegates is 20000% different from 200 million people. SW does not have the numbers, even if SE abstain due to injustice, Atiku will still win.
Supporting tinubu means we will have to wait for 16 years for power to come back to the south, supporting Atiku means 8 years for power to come back to the South and give us an opportunity. If you were in our shoes who which would you choose?
This is practical politics not emotions. Atiku will still do well even in the SW like he did in 2019. Yes, tinubu is a fighter, but he already lost before the whistle is blown based on the statistics.
I expect him to now start spending his huge resources looking for hungry corrupt judges and courts like that of disgraced Justice Salami his boy, that will disqualify Atiku. That's his only hope, but I doubt he will succeed. |
Politics › Re: Igbos And Yorubas Are The Closest Tribes by Oplomo: 2:02pm On Jun 08, 2022 |
McLizbae: Let's hope the igbos will choose right after all.
BTW, Tinubu did not bought all those delegate votes. If all his votea were bought, then his comrades all over the country paid for it, and you will agree with me that these comrade didn't take this commitment to see Tinubu loose the general election.
Looking at this margine of Tinubu victory, you will agree with me that he would have beat both Atiku and Wike together at any primary poll. Again 2000 bought delegate votes and 200,000,000 people are not the same. His closest contender in the north Lawan is seen as a featherweight rubberstamp. North loves strongmen and fighters like buhari and Atiku. Atiku is who we are voting for in the East because it is the shortest route for power to come back south again for the East to lay justified claim to it. Atiku is a veteran in politics, - he has the numbers as a northerner, - he has appeal in the SE/SS. - He is part of the powerful Northern Oligarchs. - He can campaign in Hausa and speak directly to the talakawas. His camp knows all these and that's why they rejoice as we speak. Politics in Nigeria is markedly predictable. Removing emotions out of the equation, everyone knows where power will reside come 2023 based on current geopolitical statistics. Even tinubu's camp knows this, that was why they were desperate to have PDP field a loud, garrulous and tactless candidate like Wike on PDP's ballot in the phoney guise of 'Southern unity'. Who told you that yorubas and tinubu supporters ever loved the man they christened 'wicked Wike', when he was violently eliminating Rivers APC members in 2015-2019? |
