Few years ago, the only way youths who have felt marginalized by the Nigerian state since 1970s believed in spreading the Biafran gospel was by holding peaceful rallies, holding prayers for the actualization of Biafra and carrying placards and flags.

These prayer meetings and rallies became targets of the nigerian police and the military in what was tagged Operation PYTHON DANCE, these young men and women who were simply ventilating their grievances and begging the nigerian state for equity and justice were arrested, humiliated and killed (the videos and pictures are online)

Online haters of the Easterners, pooled from the muslim SW population and buhari supporters did not hesitate to use those gory pictures of dead and humiliated Biafrans to mock easterners online, effectively and cowardly kicking a man who is down already.

The Operation PYTHON DANCE have come and gone, but the humiliated youths who survived the military onslaught have now picked up arms and gone into bush camps for self-preservation. They now feel emboldened to face military in broad day light, the police even live in fear and have disappeared from the roads in the East.

Police stations which should be opened to the public appear barricaded and with many officers begging to be transfered out of the East, a region they hitherto paid huge sums to their superiors to get a transfer therein due to commercial nature of the region.

Now my friends, it's time to take stock. What has Python dance truly achieved?

The military should have a human face and stop turning the people against them by burning people's house and killing members of the community.

Go to Izombe, Orlu, Awo-idemili, Ihiala. Orsumoghu, Uda and Ihiteukwa community in Orsu LGA and see the carnage the military committed therein.
They've rendered many childless, orphans, motherless, homeless and celebrate back to Obinze barracks after their atrocities and burning houses.

We cannot continue like this. The military should be people oriented. This was why US lost in Afghanistan, the people remained loyal to the Taliban despite years of US occupation.

Show the people that you stand with them by supporting justice and equity. Haven't they cried marginalization for too long?

I live in Akure and I work for NIEPA (National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration) has a CBT programmer. Sometimes in 2019, I got transfered to the institution's office in Ondo so I had to rent a 3 bedroom apartment somewhere in town. Because the institute does not have an office space available for me yet, they allowed me to work from home most times. Everything was fine until 6 months later when SARS came to my house one early morning. They came in commando style that day, first they said they got informatoon that I was the one supplying guns to the thieves in the town. I was shocked. They searched my whole house and took me away. My wife was so shocked that she almost had a heart attack.
Long story short, they let me go after a whole day when they couldn't find anything incriminating on me, my laptop or phone.
Here is the point of all these. 3 months after the incident, the landlord's association in my area held the monthly meeting at my house (my own landlord does not live there) they used my living room. The meeting got out of hand and they started fighting each other over money. As a tenant, I was not allowed in the meeting even though they were using my living room but suddenly I heard one of them say "That's how you go and report this innocent man to Police because you say he doesn't greet you." at first, I didn't know they were talking about me, then the person that said it called me, Bros, bros, it is this thief that told police to come to your house that day! Lo and behold, it was the chairman of association of landlords that sold me out to SARS cos he felt I was too proud just because I have seen him a few times and I drove past him without greeting him.
Funny part is, I didn't even know he was the chairman until that day.
My wife was in the bedroom, she came out and scattered everywhere with shouting. I wanted to press charges but begging was too much that day and he may simply deny it.

You should have pressed charges nonetheless. You have witnesses already and the SARS guys would have also turned on him as witnesses when shiit hits the roof. You are a federal worker, that should have given you morale.
