President GE. Jonathan has once again delivered on his promise of free,fair and credible election just like the one that brought him into office? The president could have manipulated the result for his party to reclaim the state they lost in the last polls,but rather chose the path of allowing Edolites choose their governor. Adams Oshiomole won this election not because he performed,but because he had presidential protection(there was no interference by GEJ amidst tight security in Edo state).

cold: FG insists on posting corps members to the north


The Federal Government has given the assurance of the safety of all corps members across the country during the mandatory National Youth Corp Service (NYSC).

This was made known on Wednesday at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

This is in reaction to the rejection by some newly posted corps members to some troubled states in the North Eastern region of the country.

Answering questions from state house correspondents after the FEC meeting, the Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, said the government places premium on safety of corps members, adding that it was the responsibility of the government to ensure they are safe wherever they are deployed.
