You are correct, that is what it is, the OP is about to be scam. You can't replace anyone in civil service, people are only recruited in secret to cover or beef up staff strength due to retirement and deaths. In most cases, the position are not much. You can't replace anyone actively working.

My brother, I'm not defending that HR, but saying things how they are. Did you read the screenshots the OP posted, see the HR comments and judge fairly. Let me ask you and other applicants, if you apply for a position and the HR or management consider you for another position instead of discarding your application, will you be sad or arrogant to them like the OP and the friend? What is not your job is not your job and HR is one. Most times, we look at certain things before considering some people or pushing then to various positions instead of discarding their applications. Mind you, I remain kind and respectful to applicants and I even give them tips sometimes on how to face Senior management in the recruitment process because I will be an applicant sometime and anytime. As job applicant, this arrogance and highheadness won't take applicant anywhere, anything you don't like on your recruitment process or job schedules, you can easily say NO and reject it. For the HR to even apologize shows humility, if the OP and friend is not full of themselves or arrogant, since the HR apologize, they will let it go and don't need to bring it here or anywhere. I always tell people the truth at the course of my career even management that I work for.

If your friend is doing a high-paying job, so why then is he still looking for another job? I work as a HR, and I will tell you that fellow has done nothing wrong, the problem here lies with you and your friend, your ego is higher than yourself. The HR must have Considered one or two information's on your friend CV before finding him fit for the position irrespective of his M.Sc. If not arrogance, your friend could just easily say "I can't take up that role, or I'm not a perfect fit for that role, can you consider me for this role or that" But with your arrogance, since he has M.Sc, he should have been offered the position of the CEO, or the HR should have fried egg for him because he holds M.Sc. They are people that even have doctor degree, you and your friend should lower your sholders and embrace the humility you demand for from that HR.

Never let depression get to you, your case is not different from me, I also saw myself through school, graduated and could not go for service due to age, lived in a one room without anything, but got a job few months back, and now building my own house and doing fine for myself. Never loose hope, just one day, God will change your story, just one job or one business, your entire life will change for good, you may even be more successful than the people you envy today. Keep your spirit high and continue to push and struggle.

A Federal high court and appeal courts had earlier ruled in favour of Jarigbe, You went to Supreme court to counter the decision of both courts, the sent you away; His dull brain should be able to tell him that the lower court decision stands.

I wish you followed this thing from the start, you will understand this issues better. Did you know what the present senator appeal against before his appeal was dismissed and why? first, because he was not a party to the high court and court of appeal judgement.

After the primary election, they was two outcome, one claiming Odey won, the other claiming Jarigbe won. Sensing danger, one party member filed a case at the federal high court that odey opponent won the primaries, but submitted false credentials, the court tried it and saw he has correct credentials, so the court strikes out the Case in favour of Odey opponent and that he has the right credentials and so remain the candidate of PDP, odey was not mentioned in the suit, an appeal was filed by the same person, and the court of appeal still uphold the high court judgement that his credentials was right and he remain the candidate of the PDP.

Note, in all this judgement, Odey was not mentioned, his candidacy was not mentioned, he was not even a party to the suit or judgement. then from the court of appeal judgement which odey has already been sworn in, he felt the judgement talks about his seat in the Senate, so he now filed an appeal at the Supreme Court and his appeal was struck out, first, he was not even a party to high court and court of appeal judgement.

now, in the Supreme Court judgement, the seat he already occupied was not declared vacant, nor was he sacked or removed, or his candidacy voided or anything, and he said he still remain the senator. I hope we all now see where the confusion is coming from now, IF NOT, WHO IS A COMMON SENATOR THAT THE SUPREME COURT WILL SACK AND HE STILL REMAIN THERE? let's see how this goes SHA. the other candidate is presently a house of Representatives member that wants to cross to senate, so he is battling this senator and the governor. in fact, this is one of the reason cross river governor went to war with Wike and even wanting to leave the PDP for APC.

We all thought this Supreme Court judgement is in favour of his opponent, but boom, the Supreme made a ruling but did not sack this senator or render his certificate invalid or void his candidacy, so he says he has lost nothing and still remain the senator since he was there already. We are all waiting to see how this ends anyway, truly INEC is helpless, and the Senate president or clark is also helpless. My suggestion, the other one is already a serving house of representative member, he should just let this go now until 2023.
