Travel / Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Orange1234: 9:13pm On Nov 14, 2021
Hello everyone. Please for those who have applied for visiting visa before September i.e. May and are still awaiting decisions on their applications- are the visiting visa applicants supposed to forfeit the money they already paid and existing application then use this new IRCC portal account to create a new visiting visa application, re-attach the initial documents they submitted and pay another fee to process a fresh application? I'm just trying to gain clarity of what is expected.

Also did you receive an e-mail from IRCC or a status message in your profile from the old application GCKey platform informing you to create a new application?

Thanks.

GraciousWords:

To access the new IRCC portal, first get an invite code here:

https://ircc.canada.ca/visit-visiter/en/get-account-ircc-portal

Then sign up to the portal here:

https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en

This portal is only for visitor and study visa, separate from GC Key and your general IRCC account.......

Thanks to you and everyone who responded to me. Deeply appreciate it.

CanadianNaija:

Try fm exchange, lemonade finance, ping express etc.

Though I think FM Exchange may be your best bet since you're looking to buy cad. Lots of these other companies give you naira.

Hello everyone,

Please does anyone know an online exchange company that facilitates ₦ to either CAD or USD transfers? I want to convert NGN directly to either currency . Thanks in advance.

Please, to those who did their Covid test in Lagos this year, where did you do it? Biobank's (the only testing centre listed on https://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng/onboarding/lab-directory) phone number isn't going through. I find it hard to believe that it's only one testing site acceptable for Lagos.

Hello House. Please (to those who live in Toronto), I'm trying to decide whether to purchase freedom mobile or virgin mobile. I am leaning towards Virgin Mobile because I learnt Freedom mobile is a smaller network that obtains its services from larger networks. I don't know anyone who uses Virgin Mobile in Toronto. Please, which is the better network? Is Virgin or freedom mobile's service really good in Toronto? Please what's your experience with either one or both? Thanks in anticipation.

Hello everyone, I landed Canada about 13 days ago, so about to end my quarantine.

I am in Toronto and would love to be added to a Nigerian WhatsApp group.

Please if you belong to any WhatsApp group for new students/immigrants in Canada, add me.

I am alone here and I need as much support (information) so I don't make mistakes.

Thank you.

The advert placement is not a joke. To those stating it should be well below the price, go and buy the phone at that cost, no one is stopping you. Thanks for your contribution, it has made my post popular wink. As for mine, It isn't fake neither is it malfunctioning so my price stands. New Iphones that are going for over 400k to over 500k at Slot ng, you guys are saying my 100k (with depreciation fully accounted for) is too expensive. I don't know where you get your phones from but I'm comfortable with Slot (Saka Tinubu) phones because i have never had any issues with their devices. No pls o, it's not comedy. Enjoy your weekend grin.

Hello everyone. I have an I phone 6 plus in good condition I'd like to sell. I would like to upgrade my I phone. Please can you give me the link to the Nairaland thread that people use to advertise their goods for disposal as a result of relocation? Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot.

Simply do the covid test and have the result with you. Make sure your your intended airline is allowing passengers fly with the test, ẹ.g. Ethiopian Airlines.

I can't say as of now, but as of December 31st 2020, people were landing without any letter. All you need to have is your covid test result. But to be sincere, people are still landing till tomorrow.

Please has anyone received PPR recently with expired medical status? I learnt some people didn't wait for ADR but submitted updated medicals and have received PPR recently. I'm wondering if i should re-do my medicals before Accra is through with this PR wave.

I heartily rejoice with PPR recipients grin. The good news sure brings a smile to my face. I keep seeing Ottawa PPR rain. Anybody received PPR from Accra Visa Office (AVO) (Their primary visa office being AVO and the file was not sent to AVO due to change in marital circumstances) with AOR from April 2019 to June 2019? December is fast approaching and these guys would soon go on holiday cry cry. It is well
