Firstly, who clearly witnessed it as Fulani herdsmen committing this atrocity? If they investigate further, it might be a rival village or neighbour etc and has nothing to do with Fulani, so it is better to really investigate and find out who did this and this is because most people in the east are always lying about stuff like this all the time....... Secondly, most fulani herdsmen believe the law does not apply to them and take laws into their own hands, why is this crazy, administration not arresting, prosecuting and actually sentencing to death those crazy fulani herdsmen that are guilty of killings and massacre?? we have heard of cases in Benue, Anambra, Adamawa, Enugu etc yet no single fulani herdsmen has been sentenced and killed so how will the others learn and know they will be held accountable for their atrocities and stop the senseless killings?? Thirdly, we ourselves are not doing enough, our religious leaders are ripping us blind, the house and senate is full of corrupt people we are busy divided amongst ourselves along religious and tribal lines so we do not have a united voice for a common cause. For example clearly, a woman Bridget Agbahime was brutally murdered in Kano by fanatics, we do not need to sensationalize it, or turn it into muslim vs Christian etc, just as human beings, this is wrong and we need to come out and demand justice, as well as for this victim here, and those killed by cult in Portharcourt or bokoharam in sambisa we need to stop picking and choosing and demand for common sense justice for anyone killed else this nonsense will continue with people taking sides.

So,what from your search is different from what I've said,Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer is INCURABLE because it has metastasized to different organs and thus cannot be eliminated from the body, that is EXACTLY what you just posted, any Treatment is PALLIATIVE at best NOT CURATIVE,what is so hard to comprehend here..
Donbenie: Haba chairman but you call yourself a doctor naaa, what is the primary function/Job/responsibility of a doctor?? Now you go and read my search again, now put that search side by side with the family's rush to get to a hospital in Atlanta and put that side by side with you, a medical doctors statement here "nobody killed her but CANCER,anybody that told you she could have lived is telling tall tales..let her Rest In Peace!" So, stage 4 ovarian cancer's patients life can be prolonged and that is what the family was striving to do and you Dr. Donbenie saw it as a lost case, that is why even the President will shamelessly travel to london to treat an ear infection, because of Drs like you. Biko, learn and understand that you have a responsibility to do whatever possible to prolong your patients life even if it means placing a patient on life support and not concluding for them.

searchiing4love:
What these people fail to realize is the shame and ridicule the biafra movement has become ever since Nnamdi kanu was discovered to be a fraud and arrested by the Nigerian government. Right to self determination is a treasonable offense against the Nigerian state because it's not captured in our Constitution. It is totally illegal for any region or group of people to demand seccession from Nigeria. The penalty would have been death if we were in a military regime. The Indian government recently opened fire on secessionist in the Kashmir region of India just to serve as a deterrent to future agitators. Despite having a referendum, Scotland chose to remain in the UK cos they for-saw their impending doom if they decide to leave. The Spanish government have disregarded several calls for catalonia to break away from spain. Russia recently annexed crimea from Ukraine after the crimeans got tired of life outside the soviet Union. The people of South Sudan are regretting their decision to leave Sudan till today and yet the Igbo's are hell bent on having biafra despite all the glaring indices of an impending failure if biafra is ever achieved. No country in the world wants a break away of its territory. Even the United States that preaches freedom disregarded Texas's call for seccession. The reason for seccession of the Igbo's has not been clearly defined. The fruitless agitations is fuelled by hate and jealousy of other region's political stability and doggedness. Their political miscalculations in the last elections gave birth to the recent biafra calls headed by the disgruntled element called Nnamdi kanu who was feeding fat on the Biafran sentiment before been apprehended. The British saw a potential in our diversity before merging us together as a united Nigeria and every sane mind believes the future of the Igbo's lie in nigeria. What we need is a united south and we will wrestle political power away from Northern monopoly who sees power as their birth right. Will the Igbo's ever work with bourdillon to achieve a united south? Time will tell. Say no to biafra, God bless Nigeria sad
Your write up was on point until i read the "united south" piece, that is where you also made a rubbish of all the sense you were making prior. Only some elements in the North just like Ojukwu or Nzeogwu thinks power belongs to them. Now look at how GEJ rubbished Nigeria. What we need is a leader that is sincere and nationalistic and believes in one Nigeria.

Am a Doctor..so,Am saying what I know, anybody with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer,ANYWHERE in the WORLD is living on borrowed time, the best you can do is to give her a good quality of life till she gives up i.e PALLIATIVE CARE, it doesn't matter how rich he or she is..it doesn't matter the level of medical care, anybody that tells you otherwise is being economical with the TRUTH..
donbenie: You need to study more or find your way to a civilized country where you as a doctor will not talk with a defeatist mindset. Just an ordinary google search of stage 4 ovarian cancer revealed the following: Currently, the standard treatment for Stage IV ovarian cancer consists of both surgery and chemotherapy. Unfortunately, less than 10% of patients experience long-term survival following standard treatment. This is because Stage IV ovarian cancer is difficult to completely remove with surgery and the currently available chemotherapy is unable to eradiate all of the remaining cancer. Both optimal cytoreductive surgery and platinum-based chemotherapy prolong the time to cancer recurrence and improve overall survival. Not everyone can be as sentimental as you are. Insult me all u want, my opinion still stands, u can't change that.

Look who is talking about ethical and moral poverty.
Kennygee: Whats sentimental about what i wrote? I just stated the obvious. Seems you still did not get it so let me make the facts clearer for you:

1. This lady was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and chances of survival was immediate evacuation and access to medical treatment abroad. Source: docs revealed by the family. NoTE: The doctor that diagnosed stage 4 might be wrong also, NO Doctor can categorically rule out all possibilities, they can only infer based on their knowledge which could be limited depending on their training and experiences. So, you my friend is WRONG by concluding its a lost case because Dr's in a Lagos hospital said so.

2. You mentioned that the families will be smiling to the bank, that shows and i repeat your poverty ridden mindset whereby you are comparing $$ to the trauma, pain, (look at her before and after pics) and eventually loss and grief (she is now dead and not with us anymore) that the family is currently going through.

Conclusively, my broda, do not take it as an insult, instead understand that you are insensitive and even sound cruel by saying the family of people grieving are "smiling to the bank" . Lets all learn and grow.

This Mayowa woman stood no chance with stage 4 cancer, isnt that what the doctors at LASU said? That there was no use, so what was the point of the fund raising?

Linda and Toyin did no wrong here.

You raise funds for people who have a chance of survival, but stage 4 cancer, she was going to die any ways.

Guess the family members will smile to the bank now.
Kennygee: Ol boy from your statement, one can say you came from a deep poverty ridden background... When i say poverty here, not just material poverty even ethical, mind, soul, etc poverty don dabaru your head finish, that is why you will think the family members are smiling to the bank with money now even though their beloved is gone. Case in point read about Steve Job's story, also, look at the life of IBB with all his stolen money and wealth and he cannot even get a local govt to nominate him or stand behind him for Presidency and broke ass Buhari was "repackaged" and presented by APC,,,, learn from these examples my broda and know clearly that character, integrity and sincerity will forever triumph over money.

Negligent manslaughter?

Please there is nothing like that in civil cases. It's either one sues for negligence on a guardians part or manslaughter which will be a criminal offense.

I do not support whatever it is you people said Linda or the other actress did, but suing them on the grounds of negligence or manslaughter will hold nothing against them.

Linda was not part of the medical team in charge of Mayowa neither is she a member of her family so the question of negligence is null. Secondly manslaughter is no where near the issue as we cannot find in anywhere that Linda had in anyway made any attempt or action that led to the deceased' death.

If you want to sue them both, the family will have to prove that the news miss Linda broadcasted actually led to mayowa's death contradicting medical reports.

So you see it's not just easy to walk up to a lawyer and begin ask him to write a writ of Summons when the case you want to bring up has so many loop holes.

Linda can only be held liable for defaming the family of Mayowa and be made to pay for damages but she cannot be charged for the death of the deceased.

RIP to HER.

Naijaboiy: Are you a lawyer?? Well, you are wrong, Linda can be sued for her "fraud" alert accusation led to the media frenzy, the disclaimer by Toyin, and the freezing of the account which in turn led to the visa issuance palava to the Atlanta hospital, the delays and then the change in plans that led to the South Africa last minute alternative.

DONBENIE: Not true, at best what you can say is we do not know...cos she never got the treatment. There are people on their last legs of cancer that live much much longer due to improved healthcare, google it you will see lots and lots of proof, more specifically the research results with names are in cancer treatment centres in most states in the us, so try cancer treatment center of chicago, LA etc...... what you said is not true cos she did not get the desired treatment partly to the fact that Linda Ikeji called the story "fake" and that brought about all the media frenzy and the police halted the visa process and started their endless investigation so you cannot exonerate Linda Ikeji and I and you need to learn to "verify" and be sensitive to the things we say, do, or publish else we might end up having blood on our hands like Linda currently does whether you accept it or not.

Its better to have someone with a "HEART" plan your wedding. There are so many instances where people look at faces before serving, also some people consider those with uniform or aso-ebi before serving. Its better to have a policy of serving "anyone" and "everyone" in attendance at your wedding be it an okada rider, a PDP member, an APC man, a univ professor, a house of representative padding expert or a blind man just looking to get fed for that day.

@Berlyn, this is a stupid story.... what is there to learn from it? nothing... Also, if you have a voice that can be drowned out then you do not need your money or you're unsure if it was that particular lady that took it. So my advice to you is this, you are in a crowded bus, keep your valuables in front of you where you can see it. Be aware you can be pushed and distracted and even in your distraction, identify what is valuable and hold on tight to it. Very importantly before you accuse some one be sure the person actually was responsible for stealing your money, for example you actually saw the hand entering or exiting your bag, then raise the alarm there and then or even if you want to use your style, do not agree for any voice to drown yours you can easily get everyone attention then just lay the rules, my money is missing i know she took it she said she did not now we need two volunteers, to search her and i will tell you the amount that was missing etc and we can see who is lying... or alternatively, you do what you did and just leave her for God and her conscience. So my consolation to you is, after all said and done, you are still way, way better than her because she stole from you and she will pay back in this world or in the next.

I live and work in America and i have an American guy that work with me in the Office and he used to work for the Govt and covered terrorism and war in West Africa. He even wrote a thesis that he showed me on conflict resolution. Now this guy, white oyinbo American has data on all the kidnapped girls, their family etc and so many human rights group that actually went there completed interviews over a long time, collected pictures talked to different stake holders, teachers, mallams, religious leaders, village heads, parents etc all documented with facts and data, and you have one fool (mumu) sitting his ass in Port-harcourt saying all the chibok girl story was all made up to remove Jonathan from power.
