evilapc:[/s] See mumu talking...... Christians live in Kano, maiduguri, Sokoto all over Nigeria, shine your eye and lets come together to look for solution to our common problems of corruption, injustice, oppression etc... all these muslim vs christian issue will only cause more wahala, so borrow yourself brain my broda.... Case in point, 15 years ago, a christian 16 year old girl will travel from Lagos to attend school in FGC's all over Northern Nigeria, if the bus conveying them develops problems, muslims strangers will accommodate them and keep them safe and even take them to their schools out of our common humanity, religious generosity etc and likewise the same for a muslim girl in southern Nigeria, now see how corruption, oppression, injustice, lack of rule of law, vagabonds in power don dabaru everything and we keep fighting over religion... |
forget101O:Wrong is wrong, this should not be an issue about religion. A 14yr old got murdered, that man is a danger to us all we need to stop all this muslim vs christian bla bla bla...We need to get justice for the oppressed, abused and look for cure to all the ills in our land. |
Ken4Christ:KEN4CHRIST: Point of correction. The verse you quoted was when the Prophet, may Allah have mercy on him ameen was answering questions and he clearly said that God only knows our final destination and that is to keep you striving even though God promised him heaven. There is a day of Judgement and God is the judge on that day so no man, can say categorically "I AM GOING TO HEAVEN" because that is what will make you arrogant and point to some and say so and so will not make heaven, case in point when someone asked Jesus in the Bible, "Good Master what shall i do to go to heaven, he said why do you call me good? None is Good but God alone, to go to heaven, keep the commandments. Now are you saying Jesus is not good? he said that so we will keep striving. In Yorubaland a man remains wise if he keeps searching for wisdom, the moment he thinks himself wise, he becomes a fool, got it? Thanks. |
Jengem:Is Osinbanjo not a christian, your hypocrisy is blinding you from seeing beyond your nose. Everything is looked at with muslim vs christian must it be so ? Think positive my broda. |
free2ryhme:Free2ryhme: I believe you are looking at it the wrong way. There are always two sides. Now, YES, i agree with you that those guilty of taking the laws into their hands should be tried and sentenced accordingly, especially visiting harm and even in some cases killing those that say things you do not like, they should be taking to court and be killed too for taking the laws into their hands etc, i agree absolutely, but at the same time people should also be held accountable for the things they say and do. If for example you write a blasphemous statement about a religion that about 50 million Nigerians believe in, you should be held accountable for those utterances and be charged to court for maligning or writing malicious accusations about a religion, if you take microphone and stand in front of a mosque shouting and screaming about salvation and how those praying are in error etc, you should be charged to court for intruding on the peace and privacy of others etc and be punished for it as well in a court of law. That is the way to solve it, else we will just remain in this lawless society whereby christians can use microphone and church services to disturb communities all day in the name of worship or service, and disturb others on buses, homes, etc even when you tell them politely that you are not interested in their message of salvation, they go on and on and on in the name of spreading the gospel as well as muslims blocking major roads on fridays for prayers and even ambulances carrying patients that needs emergency care cannot pass through, all that is wrong and should be stopped. |
dre11:The society is to blame for this. For, the place where this 14 year old supposed to be safe - her home is where the abuse is taking place, but no one called the police, instead they all gossipped about and around it and did nothing until the innocent 14 year old was murdered by her father who will of course say he did not know what came over him. Its so, so unfortunate. This reminds me of Babyface's song "how come, How Long"... How come, how long It's not right, it's so wrong Do we let it just go on Turn our backs and carry on Wake up, for it's too late Right now, we can't wait She won't have a second try Open up your hearts As well as your eyes She tried to give a cry for help She even blamed things on herself But no one came to her aid Nothing was wrong as far as we could tell That's what we'd like to tell ourselves But no, it wasn't that way So she fell in love With the wrong kinda man And she paid with her life For loving that man So we cannot ignore We must look for the signs And maybe next time We might save somebody's life...... |

Livefreeordieha:Livefreeordieha: Na you be the disgrace, and na you be big poo, i just said it "Nicor gas" and "comed" my former gf was a Customer service and HR Manager with both and she trained them on calls etc. I think you are misunderstanding me and go and read all my comments again, YES, they are trained to keep apologizing and most importantly solve the problems/issue of an angry customer but most importantly they are trained Never, ever to accept personal insults from any body full of poo with Naija mentality like you or the idiot on the phone, if you say things like thunder fire you or you curse out a CS rep, they will hang the call on your ass... no need to find proof, just try it yourself, call the 1800 number of any US based company and insult them personally and if you don't here :click:, i will donate $50.00 to any person in need that you suggest, i am serious. |
MONITZ:MONITZ: Thanks for clarifying, Yes, i have seen some documentary on Area 51. I am a "HE". My whole point is this Monitz, when you say the things you said with the absolute way you said it, people will buy into it and i cannot get my mind off some innocent jungle justice people carry out in Nigeria because of stupid beliefs. I will share some with you, 1. When i was younger, my cousin killed his adorable dog's puppies because it had 3 puppies and they said it was an abomination, it did not make sense to me. 2. A woman in my village uses her bare hands to quickly turn hot steaming food on the fire, she was labelled a witch and stigmatized, the whole village was cold and did not socialize with her. 3. i read in the papers of how a 12 year old homeless orphan was beaten and burnt to death in front of national stadium lagos for allegedly trying to sell a 9 year old, 4. Women mostly are lynched and killed many times for unproven allegation of witchcraft. So, my take is this, to keep society sane most especially Nigerian superstitious society and in commenting to a woman being lynched and brutalized, i'd prefer for you to clearly say before anyone should treat this person like this, they need to clearly show proof that she is guilty and that this is her punishment by a competent court and not inadvertently support this act overtly or covertly by your statements which some might read as yes witches exist and yes this woman deserves this etc...... |
izombie:IZOMBIE: Instead of GEJ to equip the military, he was giving contracts to a rif-raf, Tompolo and nobody not even the NIGERIAN army, Navy or Police could challenge Tompolo under GEJ, also, only those close to him or that does his bidding are fine all the other poor Niger-Deltans are at the mercy of all your corrupt leaders ripping you all off. Now we have a purposeful govt restoring Law and Order and you are complaining about the old song of either Northernization or Islamization. Check all the facts, the most corrupt people that are fond of ripping their own people off and exploiting them are the SS and SE people. You have Niger-Deltans as part of the Army, Yes, i agree that he needs to do more about the Fulani issue but this is a step in the right direction. One Nigeria. |
Allureia:Allureia: A little 6 year old was brought to your house, maybe as a housegirl right? Now how come your sister did not one day confess? note, the 6yr old might be the one fetching water for you all and maybe she got the witchcraft at that place... It is always the less-privileged, the poor, the down trodden that are witches, ofcourse, your sisters that might be age mate or older than the 6 yr old are all perfectly fine, Praise the lord, but the poor village girl with bad english, rags, poor parents, no education is the "witch" right.... I sorry sorry sorry oh, i sorry for nigeria, i sorry sorry sorry oh, i sorry for Africa. |
Igbofirstlady:Most importantly, what is the condition of the child I wonder how people report stuff and what the motive is? Is the Child alive, did you take the child to the hospital? that is what people are interested in. |
MONITZ:MONITZ: Yes it is you who has little or no education and you seem to come from a family or a society whereby everything is attributed to witches and all those stupid conspiracy theories. Now listen well, no magic here just listen well, i live in America ok, all the mega churches and pastors all come to america, they even have camps etc here and they have yearly crusades, now you know what is MISSING? Healing and miracles, you can never see Oyakhilome or any of them healing anyone in America, because it will be investigated and it has to be proven to be true. So, why is healing and miracles only limited to Nigeria Again, if i ask you a simple question, who do you know that played the American green card lottery and won? You can easily point to someone you have heard of easily, now if i ask you who do you know that knows anyone, that knows anyone (i don't care how long the chain is) that was BLIND or LAME that was healed in a church in Nigeria The answer is NONE, Zero, you know why, because it is fake, it does not exist. Note, i am not referring to people that are sick, with a headache or malaria that got cured, someone with physical disability, i mean blind like Stevie Wonder or lame with no legs like Oscar Pistorius on a wheel chair? So, Monitz prove all things. Who can categorically say she is a witch? what is your proof? there are so many people all over the world with similar condition getting treatment, are they all witches? Hopefully Nigeria will get better with its justice system and since belief in witches and wizards are not admissible in Nigerian courts, soon, we will be able to sue your ass and by the time you spend 2 years in jail for false and malicious accusation, your brain go reset and other potential witch labelling idiots will take cue. I rest my case. |
MONITZ:Monitz: Nonsense and ingredients, Nigeria is full of churches and mosques and all most people do is go to places of worship for miracle, We are wicked, dishonest, stupid and believe in all forms of nonsense. Go and look at how Usain Bolt etc prepared for the olympics, go and see what an ordinary council head in the US or UK knows and compare that with your govs and ministers then you will understand that witches and wizards stories are making us all lazy, stupid, religious and full of shit. In my village, before electricity, stories of witches and wizards dominated the whole place, now after we had electricity it reduced drastically, so our "STUPIDITY" is our major problem, and we will suffer for it, for example, this might be an innocent woman, with mental and psychological condition, no health worker to help her, her family maybe poor abandoned her due to stigmatization and now the society that should come to her aid are instilling pain on her... why wont God almighty visit recession, kidnappings, poor roads, bad hospitals, GEJ, Dasuki, Deziani, cultism, fulani herdsmen, boko-haram, fake pastors reaping us, rapists, ritualist, mega-fake churches, intolerant muslim fanatics etc on us ? |
dainformant:When we witness and allow all this to go on, then we should not be surprised with boko-haram, cultism, kidnappings etc because we are all guilty of inflicting violence most especially on the less privileged. |
amaechi1:Exactly, not only that, they are all muslims also with muslim names. Imagine he made a muslim the MD. just check his name Joseph, na wah for all this islamization oh.... |
daretodiffer:Ok I see your point, misunderstanding here. Yes, if you call to vent and sound really angry on the phone, screaming and stating how you think they ripped you off etc, they will not drop the call on you, infact you're right they will pacify you etc and try to solve your issue, but if you act like this guy on the phone, cursing the customer service rep out, calling him names or saying thunder will strike him, it is now personal and customer service reps are trained Never Ever to accept personal attacks on their persons, like calling them b...ch, or vulger words like come s..... my ....ck etc they will hang up on you. Infact i rem she told me a customer once told her the last one i mentioned and she asked him how she is going to do that since she is in the office?? and he now asked her to come to his house and she said he needed to take a pix and send it along since she handles only the biggies, just messing with his frustrated head. Note, she worked at comed, i.e the NEPA in the USA. |
daretodiffer:You say customer care are treated like this in advanced countries and even worse. Not true very wrong, you cannot treat customer care like this in any advanced country. They are trained NEVER EVER to accept insult or any form of verbal abuse from any customer (even if na Dangote or Trump) If you curse a customer care representative, you will be warned that that language will not be tolerated. If you repeat it, you will be warned again that the call will be dropped if you don't mind your language and if you do a third time, the call will be dropped on your cursing ass. I know because my girlfriend then was Manager of customer care and she trains people on customer care and that is part of the training. Workers are valued and needs to be treated with respect and dignity. |
Nigerian businesses allow their staffs to be abused. Passengers slap airport and ticketing agents, bank tellers are insulted and their bosses say nothing most especially if the customer is a high profile VIP. The customer service wqs supposed to hang up on his ass or curse out his ass. Respect is reciprocal. |
DonX001:Donx000: You are just insensitive and jealous. Also, Nigerians have this defeatist attitude. What if she were your sister?? Whether curable or not, if her life can be extended by surgery or chemo-therapy, the family will do whatever to take her abroad for treatment to keep her with them longer. Also, many hospitals in naija will say nothing can be done yet those same people live quality life abroad with improved healthcare. That is also why GMB will shamelessly go abroad to treat ear infection cos Nigerian hospitals cannot be trusted. Look at a girl being paraded with bulging stomach on Nairaland last week and some people were using her to make $$, some people made comment that she cannot survive it, some Nigerian Drs will make those same diagnosis so, why listen to them? Did you contribute?? why are you bothered about $$ raised for her instead of others?? Jealousy, jealousy na im dey worry you, bad belle na im dey worry you. |
Samgenuine: This is very good thanks for this beautiful piece. Although two points: 1. You should've have specifically called out Linda Ikeji's blog. She was the one that actually called it a scam and others took cue. 2. I do not agree with you in the "Families should tell the truth portion. The family already came out and said they put this out and did not know that Nigerians will come to their aid so quickly and that they will raise the money they raised in the time they raised it. That is clearly understandable most especially since there was no prior plan (project plan) to organize this with milestones, dates, amount needed, diagnoses, treatment place, etc. All this happened within a short time. I understand this because my mum was sick and i just wanted to bring her here for treatment. Nobody can clearly tell you how much will be required etc just an estimate and things happened so fast. So many for the #5 what you should have said is that the family should update the communication and organize the process as things unfolded. Conclusively, your write up is educative, very helpful and insightful, thank you again. |
That is the issue with Nigerians, even in writing, there is no clear objective. A Medical Doctor should write coherently so one can even trace the issue. These are the things you need to do: 1. Be clear in your write up, i.e where you served, who was responsible for paying and what they told you eventually when you ere leaving, 2. Dates, names and numbers of all those involved. 3. The texts sent, from what ##s, what was requested etc. 3. Most importantly the call to action, those responsible, what you really want, i.e the "ASK", who is responsible that can do it, if it is a group, that groups name and head responsible for example Health ministry is vague. Also, if you have names here and expose people, something might get done about it. |
lytech1:[/s] LYTECH1: A fool is he who knows not and knows not that he knows not. Also, stupidity is when you are seeing foreigners travelling to Maiduguri, Chibok village etc and meeting parents, family members village heads, religious leaders, gathering information, doing case studies, having a story on each kidnapped girl and sharing that story on major news network, and you have one brain dead individual sitting his ass in PH, Enugu, Lagos, etc and screaming "its all a scam!!!. |
There is no point raining curses on this man. He like so many Nigerian men and women needs help about parenting. A man that probably grew up insulted abused daily and then became apprentice to another mechanic that insults him and throws things at him for each infringement knows nothing else but to commit atrocities like this over the only person that he has control over. He needs help on parenting and training but in jail, then he needs to do community service before he can even see his daughter again. |
Nigerians will believe anything. How come nobody knows this woman? How come nobody has any picture anywhere else? How come it was not reported to the police? This is just propaganda and the news and story is fake. My people please do not act on propaganda news always verify from reliable sources most especially since most news are fake or misrepresented. |
greatgod2012:Correct woman: You don marry? you be beta person, reach out if you dey single or looking on changing husbands..lol but if you be man, i withdraw my proposal with the speed of usain bolt. |
lordkhalifa:lordKhalifa: You might take it as a joke but you dont know how crazy some people are or how they think and reason, just today on NL, one man in Akura lured his girlfriend into the bush and killed her and said he cant explain what came over him, ... just remember that someone might read this and actually carry it out cos you dont know what people are going through in their mind and head and You might end up having blood on your hands because of a stupid joke. |
CrazyQuinn:Rossy99 do not listen to "crazyquinn" oh?? She is crazy already and no condition is permanent Be nice to him do your part, its not forever and we are only hearing your part. I also lived with people growing up at some point and some were like Crazyquinn, unnecessarily mean, now i send the family $$ and the wife is always ashamed cos she sabi as she treat me back then, but i am not bothered, it was good training, i survived, the husband was an excellent and good man and now they all need help and i see it as God placing me in a position to assist so i do assist wella. conclusively, GEJ, IBB etc lived with family members growing up now see them today. |
madridguy:My broda, both are bad. People commit suicide after they are duped. So, crime na crime and its all wrong. |
DONSMITH123:I think the issue here is that someone in his compound he is not in good terms with, fathers name is Buhari, now he made matters worst by having Buhari written on the dog on both sides and walks the dog around the neighbourhood. That is 'taunting" that person. |
Fawklicant:Ayaaa, if you sabi how much Chimarokee steal and why the state is in the pitiable condition it is in now, you go pursue chimarokee and jim nwobodo with cutlass. |
donbenie:Clearly, there is a misunderstanding here or you might want to clarify your statements/assumptions,nobody is saying she is being flown abroad to be "treated" completely of cancer. We even live with lots of parasites in our body e.g malaria and if it attacks, we cure and move on but that is not the case with a terminal illness, i understand and i get that, what i, and so many are saying is life is sacred, if anyone is sick, he/she should be encouraged, supported, helped, assisted in anyway to get the treatment they deserve, be it palliative, curative, whatever it does not matter let them get it, that is what a doctor encourages and supports and that is my whole point and mind you most palliative treatment extends beyond the patient to the family as well. That is all i am saying and my argument with you is that they should be encouraged and supported to go get it where ever and however but my understanding of what you are saying is since stage 4 cancer is terminal and cannot be cured, there is no point rushing to take her anywhere since the cancer is terminal and she will still die from the cancer anyways. Also, the research shows that you can actually slow down the cancer and prolong her life. Yes, id appreciate it if you can modify your statement to include the possibilities and most importantly the "HOPE" of a chance at life for maybe a little bit longer had she had access to a better healthcare. |

if I were you I would make his life miserable until he leaves
