The documents requested was qualifications and experience for the job applied.

I presented a reference letter from my employer showing my auxiliary nurse training and work experience for 6 years.

Also my training certificates from when i started work/training till date with the UK care certificate done last year.

Your passport is back at the VAC for pick up.
They say its good news as a refusal mail would have been sent if unsuccessful.

COS - Dec 10. No
Application Jan 5 Priority.

NSF for MA- Jan 7 - No docs requested.
Long wait began.
Paid mail - 16th Jan. Response same day saying decision not yet made. Wait continues.

Jan 22 NSF mail stating that request for docs sent 2 weeks before not responded to. Another 5 days given to provide documents- Work experience and qualifications for the job. Please check the requirements for your job and be sure it aligns with your response.

Docs provided 2 days later.

BRP letter sent 29th Jan.
Passports for MA and 3 dependants picked up.

US passport was used for 1 child for TB test as Nigerian passport wasnt ready when doing test. We were concerned if this would be an issue so we included a copy of the US passport in the application. Nigerian passport was used for application as we heard there are delays with confirming the passport from the US.

Thank God for making all work out together eventually despite the hurdles.

Thanks to all sharing their different experiences, its a great resource that helps others get it right. Better than the experience any lawyer has.

This is the regular IELTS, you need the UKVI one for UK visas. Someone was refused last week as they uploaded the same one back to them when they got this same request.

I saw someone post another English Exam they did and got result in the 10 days.

I advise you check the post and do the same to avoid a refusal.

@dee1504 Have you imagined a scenario where the sponsor's legal team is the one handling the applicant's visa application (i.e filling visa forms and uploading supporting documents on their behalf); that applicant has no choice but to to go with the flow (of having their care certificate uploaded on their behalf).

So long as the care certificates are gotten genuinely and can be verified by UKVI (either online, or directly with the third party where the course was taken) I don't think it should be a problem. Don't forget also that Allison Certificates has got barcodes on them that can be scanned and the name of the certificate holder, course details etc is displayed.

Most of this care courses on Allison, Florence etc are courses UK Care Homes encourage their staffs to take from time to time when they are employed. Most care homes in the UK even have accounts on Allison and make it mandatory for staffs to take some courses to keep their staffs updated from time to time...

The certificates are good and the lawyer thinks its boosts the application, however, someone posted here of being refused because the certificates were too recent and VO wasnt convinced that the applicant had enough experience for the job. They may not have used the certificates to consider her application if she didn't submit them.
If they really need them to make a decision, they would ask for it.
Some things may make sense to everyone but the VO who is the most important player.

The combined real experience from communities like this is a huge information bank

No need to be worried about it.

It means you need to show proof of funds as they won't be the ones responsible for your maintenance.

Ive seen a few people here post that they got nsf requesting for it further proof of marriage apart from certificate. even for kids, someone got nsf to send family photo last week. Diff VO doing as they wish. They will always ask though via NSF if they it wasn't submitted.

Journey started since April o, at a point there was a pause for a long time during the whole process but patience and prayers did it at last.

Cos came in late December after a very long wait.
Don't just give up my brother my sister, prayer works. 2 uk visa denials but God came through. Shout-out to wifey and kids, they also learned patience but thank God Mercy came through. How will you shout?

That date seems to have an issue o esp Priority. Even 6th standard has been decided..
But someone 3rd Jan Ikeja Standard got decision yesterday.

I think 1 and 3 have been answered.
For 2, open a Providus Bank account and ask for the card that can be used to pay online. One does up to $3k per month and the other $1,200.
Rate is black market +/-. It debits you in naira. You can use for ticket and other online payments too. Other option is any bank dollar card that works online.

Whao! Is it domiciliary care? Heard a lot of them don't have enough hours. Sorry about that. Try and check job sites and ask around. Theres a lot of adverts for care jobs for those already in the UK. You can get your extra 20 hours that way or start looking for another sponsor with better hours. Ask around, join FB groups etc for info. All the best

I am trying to book my self service appointment for biometric capturing on the TLSContact page but it kept on adding UKVI services for me that I did not select , will then go back to remove it from my basket but it automatically add it again on getting to my checkout page , see screenshot attached. Please How do I resolve this issue

it appears you picked V.I Lagos to do your biometrics. its a user pays location so the 55 pounds is for using the place. this is different from other value added services. Unfortunately, you are unable to change it unless you cancel that application and get a refund- 90 days timeline.

I have called them and mail them but till now I don't an appointment confirmation with the new barcodes.

log in to your profile and edit your DS160 number to the new one. then you can print out. the new one will reflect on the bar code.

You will need to first book an appointment using the regular guidelines - your appointment should not be scheduled earlier than six months after your last refusal. You can then request an expedited appointment. As stated below, it is possible your expedited appointment request will be denied and then you will have to keep your original appointment date of at least six months in the future.

Your response above relates to me and i tried to book an appointment 6 months from my refusal date. however, the farthest date available on the appointment calendar is 5 months after my refusal date. All other dates have not been opened.

Hello, I would advise you try another country like Dubai, USA first in order to have a travel history. This will increase your chances. UK applications seem successful for single first time applicants if you are going for a specific reason like attending a sibling's wedding, graduation, or visiting a sibling. It's common to have the visa refused for lack of ties to Nigeria irrespective of funds available. Again there are exceptions to every rule. Best wishes.

My Wife submitted and did her biometrics on 23rd May,.I just checked now with her GWF number and i saw "Decided", furthermore it says that the status has been updated on 13th of june,.The decision has been posted to you,you should receive this within 10 working days. We cannot discuss the decision online or by phone.The order of the status is open, Awaiting a decision and decided. If you dont receive your decision within 10 working days, you can phone us and we can look into this for you. Pls do you or anyone knows what they meant by this?, she is a regular traveler to Germany since 2009(6 Schengen visas) and US(2 US Visas) with one still valid till next year. But this is the first time she is applying for UK visa,We dont know how it works with UK Visa application,.thats why i am asking.

If the travel date is close, I will advise you go to the high commission on Walter Carrington with your slip before 12pm to retrieve the passport. A few people have said their passports were not at the VAC for pick up after the 10 days and we're able to retrieve from the high commission.

Thanks guys I got my visa. Went to the collection centre at Churchgate and entered at 10am. Picked up my passport.

These guys are scammers though, only because I was rushing to leave, would have asked them the services I paid for, the SMS and email updates, got nothing and yet I paid.

Thanks to everyone that gave insight into tracking on the uk.gov site. I checked and got the message that a decision had even made on June 8......
As ticket costs were going higher, I needed my passport fast so I took your advices and went to the VAC Ikeja - it wasnt there and then to Walter Carrington. I got there after 12 but they helped as I came from outside Lagos. They eventually gave me the passport. Thanks to God for all the information I found here that helped me stand my ground that my passport was ready.

My travel date has even passed but they just sent me a message that a decision has been made and ready for collection only after I had called them up on Friday and charged 20 pounds. Disappointed but it's all good! Would go there tomorrow to pick up

Thanks for sharing. Please could you give an update on your experience at the embassy tomorrow? I'm planning to come from outside Lagos so I need information on time and requirements please. I opted for delivery since I'm out of Lagos but my travel date is close and coming over to pick it up seems like my best bet. Would appreciate your update.

Hello, I had the same issues with the link initially. When you copy and paste the link in your browser, check the GWF number at the end of the link. Make sure it is yours. I had to delete what was there and entered mine manually before I got a response. Hope this works for you.
