In the very unlikely event of a run-off (INEC would be really silly and clearly partisan to declare this), the current, now disqualified APC candidates cannot replace existing candidates of other parties as the windows for substitution have long closed. How will they change the names of the candidatesof the other party who participated in the elections? It is not a transferrable property. The bestthey can do is to 'sponsor' a party and induce all their candidates heavily enough to decamp to the APC that is if they are popular enough to win the majority votes along with the Federal might/APC rigging formula as Amaechi tried but failed woefully to achieve in Rivers. The main APC candidates can never hold those positions from NASS, HoA and governorship.
supreme court ask inec to declare the runnner up with the required spread.. did pdp meet up with the requirements?
apc can will by proxy if they sponsor a party for the run off.

Inter or Intra?
Please, let's stay on point... The SC did not enquire the person's involved.
You people went on this run-off thing in Imo state and yet it didn't happen..

Did Ihedioha meet the constitutionally required 25% in 2/3- states?
He didn't...

Why did INEC affirm his victory and indeed issued a Certificate of Return?

I hope the requirements will cover that of Imo that it's obviously on the same pool as Zamfara?

INEC didn't see this coming 'cos the questions will fling in right left and centre?

Am not a lawyer.....but the same facts,we will see if its different judgement from our INDEPENDENT NEC!

So don't run speed,calm down.....
supreme court "said inec should declare the runner up with required spread""
in imo margin of the victory is not more than canceled votes, unlike case of zamfara

Tell the SC judges the requirements.....

That means you want INEC to reverse itself in Imo?
Everybody will see through their game...they will save face and hand over to the PDP man jare...
oga the case was inter-party affairs not btw two parties what supreme court did was to void Apc votes and DIRECT INEC TO ANNOUNCE THE RUNNER UP AS WINNER IF THEY MEET THE REQUIREMENTS.

INEC determines the requirements constitutionally not supreme court. if pdp didnt meet the requirements there will be run off.as it stands if a runoff is declared apc will win back their position with a proxy party and the candidates will all decamp back to apc simple as that

Mind u it was El rufai that was first to encourage fayemi to show interest.. In his words, he said 'I know I am outspoken and controversial and I know pdp governors Wont support me'... The issue of acn cacus is dead.. Fayemi, akeredolu, amosun don't support tinubus interest, samething with the likes of banire, fashola and Co. Maybe,it is high time u stopped reading the nation. And as for yari, he wanted yahya Bello to succeed him, but the reelection storm facing him could not allow him to come out. Tinubu was behind segun one's case against fayemi and samething for Abraham in ondo State... Your Mvp knows all dz, that's why he is moving up and down, teleguiding buhari.. U gonna receive the shock of your life when buhari names his next level ministerial nominees and national assembly principal officers election,by that time, it would be clearer to you that your mvp has been put to where he belongs.
can u provide a credible link to where el rufai was encouraging fayemi to Run against his ambition?
Acn cacus is alive in Apc and waxing stronger than cpc cacus of the party.
acn cacus currently owns national party chairman, the vice president and the incoming speaker.

acn cacus of Apc led by osibanjo and ex governor osoba has sent the greedy amosun to political exile.

hell-rufai problem with tinubu was because of ngf chairman
https://www.nairaland.com/5175433/why-el-rufai-angry-tinubu-nigerian

Speaking with our correspondent on Tuesday, a member of the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) said El-Rufai was embittered with Tinubu for interfering in the process of who becomes the next chairman of the Governors’ Forum, a position currently occupied by Abdulaziz Yari, outgoing governor of Zamfara State.

While El-Rufai is lobbying to succeed Yari, thinking the position would further help him in realising his presidential ambition, Tinubu is angling for Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State on the basis that Fayemi, who was first sworn in in October 2010 is the most senior among the governors.

The source said: “Yes, Governor El-Rufai is unhappy with the interference of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the leadership process of the Governors’ Forum.

“While he is desirous of succeeding Governor Yari of Zamfara, Tinubu is disposed to having Fayemi occupy the position.
Politics › Re: APC Cannot Win The 2023 Presidential Elections by ORIENTATION101: 12:39pm On May 22, 2019
gidgiddy:
There has been a lot of talk about the 2023 elections. A lot of APC supporters have already taken it for granted that come 2023, APC will produce the president of Nigeria.

APC cannot win the 2023 presidential elections.

What many APC supporters dont seem to realise is that APC its self is all about Buhari. Take the Buhari factor out of APC and there is no APC

Buhari commands a God-like status amongst many Northerners and that's why they poured millions of their votes into the last two elections he ran for, that enabled APC to win and retain the presidency

However, in 2023, there will be no Buhari. The unwritten rule in Nigerian politics is that when a party has held the presidency for 8 years, it must rotate it to the other side.

Not only will there be no Buhari to vote for in 2023, APC must pick its presidential flag bearer from the south, most likely the SW.

This will cause the millions of Northern voters to look elsewhere.

With millions of votes from the North gone and the SE/SS continuing its trend of not voting APC, it becomes very clear that it is impossible for APC to win the 2023 presidential elections
ipob why re u interested in Nigeria election.?
2023 has been signed sealed and delivered just like 2019 election.
nobody will occupy aso rock without buhari endorsement .as far as i am concerned buhari will present his sucessor before his followers up north just like he present the senator elect to the crowd against incumbent lawmakers that worked against him. and buhari candidates swept away the feather weight lawmakers in a landslide victory .

Crime › Re: Fulani Herdsmen Invade Ogun Town, 4,000 Hectares Gone, Oba Cries Out! by ORIENTATION101: 4:32pm On May 19, 2019
Tofax:
The Onimeko of Imeko, Oba Oyeditan Olanite, cried out over an alleged plan of Fulani Herdsmen to invade his territory.

Punch News reports that the monarch made this known on Friday, while speaking with correspondence on Sunday.

Oba Olanite said many Fulani herdsmen had already arrived in the town, adding that they took over about 4,000 hectares of land belonging to the Odu’a Investment Company and chased away indigenes of the town close to the land. The monarch expressed that the people of the land were afraid not knowing what to do or what could happen next.

However, the king stated that the people of the town had a meeting with a top official of the Department Of States Services in attendance, he said this was done to prevent a surprise attack on the town, a border between Nigeria and Republic Of Benin.

Oba Olanite stated, “The leader of the herdsmen was brought to my palace today (Friday) and he said he came to that place through some people. I have called the Group Managing Director of Odu’a and I told him that herdsmen had taken over their land in Imeko.

“In 2018, Odu’a started work on the land which is about 4,000 hectares. They are planning to build a tomato paste factory on the land but they said they would train local farmers to grow tomatoes so that raw materials would not be in short supply when they start operations.

“But the herdsmen came and drove away all the farmers they met farming near the place. They grazed their cattle on their farms and destroyed their crops. Those ones fled. These herdsmen went further to dismantle the huts built by the farmers and used the materials to build their huts.

“They wanted to attack our people that went to meet them on Thursday but those ones ran away. They attempted to attack them with machetes but our people ran away.”

He further alleged that the herdsmen brought weapons to the land they were occupying illegally, adding that this prompted the meeting held in the community.

“I was told that the herdsmen said their target now is Imeko. They want to attack Imeko because they said the people of the town were the ones who resisted them from taking over this axis. They have a surreptitious plan to attack Imeko,” Oba Olanite said.

The monarch said he had written many letters to the police requesting the establishment of stations and police posts in communities in the Imeko-Afon Local Government Area but nothing had been done.

Recall that some herdsmen attacked Iwoye community in the Imeko-Afon LGA earlier this month and killed four persons. The Ogun State Police Command said Iwoye was still under a security watch of the police in Nigeria and the Benin Republic.

The Police Public Relations Officer form the state command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, stated this on Friday. It was learnt that crisis broke out after the cattle of the herdsmen flooded the community stream and polluted the water.

SUNDAY PUNCH gathered that the divisional crime officer in charge of Imeko and a police inspector were shot in one of the attacks.

A source told one of our correspondents that a native was killed by the herdsmen for challenging their action. Further findings showed that the killing sparked crisis the community, which almost resulted in open confrontation between the indigenes and the herders.

The herdsmen were said to have resisted arrest by policemen as they reportedly opened fire on the security agents, killing one of the civilians who came with the policemen. Oyeyemi added, “Our men are still there. Our special units are still there; Special Anti-Robbery Squad and others are there to ensure total peace. We are not going to withdraw our men from there until there is total peace.

“The commissioner of police has given a definite instruction that herdsmen should be restrained from grazing there until we are able to achieve total peace.”

Tinubu is a strategist. He would eventually step down for Osinbajo. He knows how to play the game and his intelligence is way above the average Nigerian politician.

Real godfathers don’t run executive govt, they stay behind the show. However he has to put out an aura he wants the sit so whoever he steps down for would be loyal to him.

Any govt since 1999, the godfathers or ‘cabals’ are usually not the sitting president. It was only between 2003-2007 that Obasanjo managed to run the show himself using Mr. Fix it Anenih and party chairmen.

Presidents are too busy travelling the country and the world.

A real godfather down not sit in Aso Rock.

Tinubu knows this.
you really know how politicking works. Tinubu will definetly play those olodo the same card he played amosun in ogun state.he used yayi as a distraction to amosun and his camp while dapo abiodun was breaking into the enemy stronghold. the media and northern mumu politicians have been kept busy with Tinubu presidency while the main president to be is closing ranks and building bridges, before those idiots realise tinubu presidency was a joker the president to be would have built a formidable team before the opposition camp wakes up.
