Pls How much does A Bsc entry level NDLEA earn? How much does an administrative staff working with the THE PRESIDENCY earn (entry level ) |
The United States sees a clear, direct connection between corruption and Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria. Their construct is simple: 1. Wealth that should have been spent educating and creating jobs for the citizenry was diverted into private pockets and the result is an army of idle, illiterate youth most of whom were raised by the streets. Hungry, angry, dehumanized and vulnerable, they became and will continue to be easy tools for terror sponsors if the cycle is not broken. 2. These sponsors can afford It because they have huge proceeds of crime. They have progressively weakened the government structures and are just a few millimetres away from actually taking power in Nigeria. They have to be smashed through the destruction of the whole cycle of corruption and resulting poverty and failure to do this will eventually throw Nigeria into a terrible conflagration of war that will burn deep into the soul of Africa. That danger must be averted. |

Sad news for Nigerians that want to work in the UK with student visa. Tory led UK government will force foreign students to leave Britain once their courses end. Foreign students are to be banned from working in Britain under a fresh crackdown on immigration ordered by Home Secretary Theresa May. When courses finish they will have to leave the country before reapplying to return for a job. Ministers say the new rules, which will apply to all those from outside the European Union, will stop colleges being used as a ‘back door to a British work visa’. Official figures show that 121,000 non-EU students entered the UK in the 12 months to June last year, but only 51,000 left – a net influx of 70,000. The government estimates that the number of foreign students coming to the UK will rise by more than 6 per cent a year up to 2020. Home Secretary Theresa May has taken action against 870 bogus colleges, banning them from taking foreign students. But the Conservatives have vowed to go further, without the Lib Dems in power to force the rules to be watered down. They want to stop student visas being used as an easy way to enter the UK before getting a job and claiming benefits. Under the new rules, non-EU students will be denied the right to work while in the UK and will not be able to apply for a visa extension when their course finishes. Students will have to leave the country before applying to return under a work visa. The length of stay is also expected to be cut to two years when the plans are unveiled this week. Immigration Minister James Brokenshire said it was ‘part of our plan to control immigration for the benefit of Britain’. ‘Immigration offenders want to sell illegal access to the UK jobs market and there are plenty of people willing to buy. ‘Hard-working taxpayers who are helping to pay for publicly funded colleges expect them to be providing topclass education, not a back door to a British work visa.’ Business Secretary Sajid Javid signalled on Friday that the govermment would stop the education system being abused by immigrants. He said: ‘What we need to make sure – and we do have this – is that our immigration system allows those from abroad that want to come to Britain to study in our world-class universities, our fantastic colleges to come here,’ he told the Today programme. ‘But we’ve also got to have a system that doesn’t allow any abuse when people are using the right to study as a way to achieve settlement in Britain. ‘So we’ve got to break the link and make sure it’s focused on people who want to study and then, once they’ve had their studies and completed that, then they leave.’ But universities have warned that any clampdown could damage the sector and business leaders are also wary of the move, warning it could rob Britain of vital skills. Seamus Nevin, head of employment and skills at the Institute of Directors, said: ‘The Business Secretary’s proposals to eject foreign students after graduation are misguided and would damage the British education system, our economy and global influence. ‘Britain already makes it difficult and artificially expensive for international students to enter and stay, and now these proposals would eject them ignominiously when their studies are finished. ‘Restricting talented workers from staying on in the UK would damage business and lead to a loss of important skills. ‘Shutting the door to highly-trained international graduates at a time when our economy needs them most would be hugely damaging for UK businesses. ‘In the interests our education sector, our businesses, and our international standing, the Business Secretary should reconsider this proposal.’ http://lindaikeji..com/2015/07/sad-news-for-nigerians-that-want-to.html?m=1 |
abujaniv:Thanks Vo Your response goes a mile. My reservation however Is what I have read on many occasions here that it's advisable applicant re- apply 90 days after visa denial. As for me , I believe I have strong ties that merited a non - immigrant visa issuance , and my concience and intention did not negate the non - immigrant visa condition, may be I didn't explain my situation well to the consular. Now, Waiting for 90 days, my intention of going to state would have become forfited, i have nothing to attend to in the state outside that summit,If however I re- apply before 90 days, would my application be looked into afresh? Or the consular would just assumed my status (which she didn't consider before) have not change from the former and give me back my passport with another white sheet? |
I did my interview today, Abuja Embassy , Window 9. My visa class is journalist/ media I class. My observations : 1.It seems the VOs just dislike some faces upon seeing them . These category of people are not questioned much before getting their result in white sheet . 2. People between the age of 25 and 30 ( Expecially guys) are all assumed to be single hustlers and majority are refused visa. I fell into this category. While with the VO. Vo: where are you going in the state? Me : Washington D.C Vo : to do what ? Me : to attend and cover 2015 Mhealth Summit as a media delegate Vo : have you travel outside the country before? Me : Yes Vo: where? And to do what? Me: Qatar, as a foreign media rep to cover Qatar 2022 stadia and facilities accreditation by the FIFA And Saudi Arabia for umrah Vo : how long did you spend at Qatar Me : 30 days at first visit and 28 days at subsequent visit. Vo : have you applied for US visa before Me : I have never. Then , there comes the word Sorry, you are not eligible for a non immigrant visa. I'm 27, married with two kids, and a senior correspondent to a reknown and reputable print media in Nigeria. I drive my own car, living in my own small apartment, presently doing my masters in a University here in Nigeria. (I wonder what other tie to one country is more than this) I was armed with many documents including some of my recent reports in our magazines but none was checked by the VO, (who knows, maybe she is skeptical of my age) , beside, it is my management that is sponsoring me, but how will you explain this when you were neither asked nor given fair hearing, A press collegue of older age with very little ties got his visa approved without much questioning, now my Editor in Chief is thinking maybe I deliberately sabotage the interview process because of my earlier resistance to the US tour. While I'm not oblivion of your policy of no comment on particular situation, I personally believe maybe the VO hate my face or probably made conjectural assessment of my status and worth due to my age. The summit is November 8th, when is the appropriate time to reapply? |

That Bukola Saraki conspired with his friends in PDP to become the Senate president maybe tolerated as politics. But, that Saraki further ignore the official letter from his party ( APC) about the party's decisions on the nominations of majority leader and others is totally unpardonable. I can now see that This man has his own agenda to destroy APC and return to PDP as a presidential candidate in the future. This has gone beyond cutting Tinubu to size. No party man would humiliate his own party the way Saraki has done. We have a fight in our hands. I said it elsewhere a while ago that "Asiwaju Tinubu understands the game and that explains his strategic silence.Any supporter who does not understand when to go into reflection as tactics in the game of politics should watch Tinubu at this moment" We are watching. |

Jonathan Loses Son In London? Bayelsa State indigenes and residents are wearing mournful look following the rumoured death of Ariwera Jonathan, the son of the immediate past President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, at a London hospital on Monday, June 22, 2015. Though no member of the ex-president’s family in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, could confirm the development, Jonathan has not been seen around for sometime. Ariwera was said to have been sick for a while. Meanwhile, it is believed that Jonathan’s family wouldn’t want the news spread as they want everything to be on a low key. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/06/jonathan-loses-son-london/ |
Have anybody heard about Professor Pius Adesanmi ? An Erudite professor of English in Carleton University Canada. A Seasonal Columnist in premium time, He's from Isanlu area of Kogi state, He's widely travelled and Understand what Governance entails .He's the best bet for for the job . In Ayo turton's words, We should not wait until Oyinbo people have exhausted his youthfulness and sucked dry the "mundun-mundun" of his ever versatile brain to give him a retirement job as a Minister at over 60 years of age as we wont do. We complain everyday that the old brigades that have been ruling us since independence have refused to quit the scene, what are we doing to take over from them? President Obama was 48 years when he became the President of America, David Cameron was 44 years old, Medvedev was 42. Let's begin to take our destiny in our hands. I know this will surprise him, he may even think that I am crazy, but if not now, when? I want to hear from you especially you Kogites. I am planning to take this as an assignment not just Kogi State, but from whatever state we can identify those who have proven themselves. Let's experiment with the power of the people, let's make this a target to hit! |

I watched the NTA report of the 8 CBN staff charged with N8Billion plus misdemeanour. The picture report showed two very old women, who could either be Mothers, Grandmothers or close relations of one or more of the accussed persons. From their dress sense, it was obvious that they are not educated. They were weeping and wailing! Before you get yourself into crime, kindly remember people such as these women who you will be throwing into needless pain and mourning. They might have enjoyed some largesse from you in the past. That doesn't mean you should throw them into agonizing moments such as this. Worse if you are from a polygamous home, as, all the other wives of your father automatically become witches and will be held responsible for a misfortune brought upon you by your insatiable greed and desire to make it by all means and very fast too! The round-robbing and reverberating effects of your evil deed may scatter an otherwise peaceful, united and big family!! I have said my own!! |
Apc should not forget how it all started. In fairness to Saraki. The senate presidency belong to new pdp/apc. The cpc got president. ACN got the VP. Anpp got the party chairman. Now that it was the new pdp to get theirs, apc now becomes jittery of the PDP. They should have back him if he fails then that's it. But to now be preaching that of credibilty is an after thought. Let the saint among the politician throw the first stone. We all err in life, but once you have repented God will forgive. If you kept your promise to serve humanity and God. Lawan was nowhere in war front to confront Gej. It was saraki and others. Like Amechi all the way. Please apc still have time to ammend the fault. Saraki knows both the pdp and apc he's the man that can handle both side without cracking. |

BUHARIMETER! http://www.buharimeter.ng No time, the timer is ticking and the clock is counting away.......... As the popular saying goes, uneasy lies the head that wears the crown, and as with previousdemocratic presidents of Nigeria, it’s definitely not going to be an exception for the President Muhammadu Buhari. The Buharimeter is an initiative of the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) towards monitoring and holding General Buhari accountable for his promises during electioneering. The platform, built by BudgiT, was launched the day Buhari took over from Dr. Goodluck Jonathan – May 29, 2015. The internet played its part during electioneering process and CCD is now taking a step further towards holding the Federal Government accountable.
