When will these people stop with these threats? Nobody has said Igbos should not contest so they should go and sit down. Anyway, as long as they restrict their 'conflict' to their SE region (like ipob and ESN have been doing since they started their madness), they're free to carry on with it.

Politics / Re: HOT: Why you need to believe Reno Omokri against The Vice President, Osinbajo! by OritoJasi: 2:31pm On Apr 13, 2022
Reno only said what he said then in Osinbajo's favour to create division in the ruling party, and to spite Buhari. Na fake love. That's why he's singing a different tune today because he sees him as Atiku's potential opponent in the general elections.
Politics / Re: Olugbenga Olaoye: We Cannot Afford Another Sick President by OritoJasi: 12:31pm On Apr 13, 2022
The truth of the matter is that no true supporter of Osinbajo would make such a reckless statement while speaking on record in his support. But I have come to realize that most Osinbajo supporters are closet PDP supporters who don't really mean well for him as a candidate because they really don't see him succeeding Buhari, hence these sort of comments coming from them.

Politics / Re: Peter Obi: Rather Than Borrow Money As President, I Prefer All Nigerians Starve by OritoJasi: 3:56am On Apr 13, 2022
Imagine an aspiring president using such extreme and exaggerated language. Shows how clueless and bereft of practical ideas and solutions he is. Well, he need not worry because Nigerians won't vote in an austere and stingy leader like him who'll 'starve' them due to his irrational aversion to debt financing. What the country needs is a president with robust ideas that'll stimulate the economy back to health. Peter Obi clearly doesn't know what to do with money hence his exaggerated anti-borrowing drivel.

Was it Governor Ganduje that made the statement?

Here is a quote from the article:

See the low ranking officer that represented Governor Ganduje, a mere LASTMA equivalent. What happened to the deputy governor or even the commissioner for transport?

Governor don't commit until the last minute.

LegendHero:

Let me advise you theraregem1, I know you are for Osinbajo which is a good thing but you shouldn’t be doing these irrelevances.

You will need the supporters of Asiwaju and structure to win an election if Osinbajo gets the ticket so why burn bridges?

We shouldn’t be doing all these things. A win for one of them should be a win for all. We Stan Osinbajo just as we Stan Asiwaju.

God Bless Prof. Osinbajo
God Bless Asiwaju

You sound very naive bro. In your mind you actually believe that most of these Osinbajo promoters (like the one you quoted, amongst many others on Nairaland) aren't merely supporting him out of hatred for Tinubu?

Not to mention that his camp has actually been infiltrated by pro-PDP elements that are disguising. You are more likely to see pro-Tinubu supporters like yourself who eschew bitterness towards Osinbajo than Osinbajo supporters who are supporting their principal not necessarily because they like him but rather because they want to stop a Tinubu presidency by all means. The earlier you are able to identify them the better for you, else you will just be doing fake solidarity with the wrong crowd. Most Osinbajo supporters on this platform are rabid Tinubu-haters. They mostly spread anti-tinubu fake news. Know that and know peace.

Politics / Re: Why Do Igbos Hate Tinubu So Much? Can Someone Explain. by OritoJasi: 2:51pm On Jan 11, 2022
flokii:
It's Yorubas of old that caused it including this Tinubu that allowed their excesses on Yoruba soil..

I can recall back in the days when true Lagosians had clash with Tinubu for giving Lagos elective posts to outsiders like Igbos.. it caused serious fight in his camp then and the true sons of Lagos left him out of grief.

Fast forward to years later, the Igbos that crossed over 1000 miles and river Nigeria started laying claim to Lagos and its governance structure saying it's no man's land and that they dream of an Igbo governor in Lagos. Reason we're warning those old fo0ls we have as leaders in South West to better be careful if not true Yorubas will rise up and bury them all.

One of Tinubu's biggest mistake that will continue to haunt him was his decision to start the trend of appointing Igbos into Lagos state cabinet. Maybe he thought that would endear those ingrates to him but that policy decision has failed because that hasn't stopped them from not only hating him but even having the effrontery to demand for more slots, as if they're the only non-yorubas in the state.

Awolowo made a similar mistake when he chose an igbo candidate (Phillip Umeadi) as his running mate in 1979. Till today I can't fathom what he was smoking for him to have made such a foolish decision of choosing a southern running mate, and an igbo at that Any Yoruba person that tries to please or trust them will live to regret it.

I noticed that, that's why i don't want Osibanjo as president. They hate fashola also.

They prefer Yorubas that would depend on Igbo votes to get elected, so that they can use that as a blackmail and intimidation tool. They tried that in Lagos severally, but failed each time. Their end game is leverage and control of the Yoruba political space. But they will continue to fail.

Your wailing never start. It's not Nigerians' fault that your 'perfect'/preferred candidate no gree contest. Why are you foaming in the mouth since yesterday over Tinubu's declaration, as if he has stopped you or any other person from contesting? Or is it because you fear he stands the brightest chance? Grow up Mr. We are in a democracy. If Tinubu is not your choice, vote for your choice on election day, nobody will beat you. Tinubu is not your problem/Igbo problem in this life. You all should get a life!

Politics / APC Should Repay Tinubu’s Sacrifice With Presidential Ticket — Ondo Support Grou by OritoJasi: 9:52pm On Jan 03, 2022
2023: APC should repay Tinubu’s sacrifice with Presidential ticket — Ondo Support Group

A group, Ondo State Network for Tinubu has said that the National leader of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu should be compensated with the party’s Presidential ticket in 2023 for his sacrifices for both the party and the country.

The group during its inauguration in Akure, the state capital with members across the 18 council areas in the state said that “there is no better candidate in the southwest to contest the ticket with the APC National Leader.

Its convener, a former commissioner in the state, Hon Femi Adekanmbi said that “the group is made up of no fewer than 1000 members and delegates in each of the 18 local government areas of the state who were ready to give their all for Tinubu’s ambition.

Adekanmbi who noted that most politicians in the southwest and other parts of the country had benefitted immensely from the kind gesture of Tinubu urged those aspiring to contest the ticket with Tinubu to wait for their turn.

“Today (Monday) marks the revolutionary movement for Tinubu who is a benefactor to many. He is a man I know too well. He has assisted most politicians today and that is why we’re rooting for him.

“For us, this is the time to pay Tinubu back for what he has done for us as far as Ondo State and Southwest is concerned.

” We have our people at the various local government areas and in each of the ward. In each local government, our members and delegates who are rooting for Bola Ahmed Tinubu are up 1000.

“As a matter of fact, he is the best candidate for this job. We are all here to ensure that he wins 100 per cent in Ondo State and not only in Ondo but across the nation. He is the one that will take Nigeria to the greater height. He has what it takes to do this job.

The Director-General of the group, Barrister Tolu Babaleye said that the purpose for the inauguration of the group was to mobilise aggressively across the state for Tinubu’s ambition, added that the state will be sealed for the former Lagos State Governor.

Babaleye said that ” When you look at the antecedent of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it is the right time for APC to pay him. Nigeria and APC are what it is today courtesy of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“When the man was working day and night, spending his resources at the detriment of his family and business, the people who are aspiring today looked away.

“It is even surprising that some of the people even benefitted from him. They are now saying they want to become President when the man when it the turn of Tinubu. We want to call on such people to remember what they called posterity.

“They should remember that the moment somebody has helped you to achieve something you should always know that there is God.

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu has touched many lives. Just talk about any politician in this state, he must felt the midas touch of Tinubu. And that is why we want to call on all the aspirants who are looking for the presidency in Southwest to please allow Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take the turn this time around.

He said that “As far as we are concerned now, we are sealing the state for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in all the wards. If you call it a delegate election we are giving Bola Ahmed Tinubu 100 percent by God’s grace. If you call it direct primary, we are giving him 100 percent.”

Op, who is your own candidate, and when will you start promoting him instead of always promoting Tinubu on this site? You may think your attacks against the man is working against him but you're making a mistake because according to Phineas T. Barnum, "there's no such thing as bad kind of publicity". Start supporting your own preferred candidate for a change.

EraseTheDot:

Stop grandstanding. Can't you read. Why was Jonathan reaching out to Tinubu & Pa Akanda for a candidate in PDP when he could have asked them for a candidate in ACN. They very well saw through his manipulation.

In the meantime, President Goodluck Jonathan was pressing for a government of national unity, with a bid of sucking ACN into manipulative extinction.”

-erase the dot

This post is great but incomplete. You should have added that the ACN was playing the long game. Besides preventing the 'Greek gift' speakership that would have potentially buried the party, they were also playing the long game which paid-off because they went on to midwife a coalition that birthed the APC, which saw two yoruba men emerge as number two (VP) and number 4 (Speaker) for the first time in the country's political history.

Stop talking about people you don't know and try to put an unnecessary wedge all.. I repeat all Yoruba families have both Christian and Muslims in their families... There is no division, how do you divide a family according to religious lines, Yorubas are more incline to family issues than religious work.

That's the ibo way for you. Always seeking ways to balkanize people. Even amongst themselves, their Catholics resent their Anglican igbos, not to mention the Diala and Osu phenomenon that is still practised in their region till today. They can never come to terms with how Yorubas of Muslim, Christian, and traditional religious persuations can co-exist peacefully without their kind of divisive temperament. They will never understand.
