Putin is fullish. One of the worst things in life is for a leader. In this case, a military leader is to not deliberately lead your soldiers into sure death. There's a military code of honour, that leaders must lead soldiers to victory, not into certain death. Especially when there's room for alternative action. The new, young and replacements won't master these roles over night. This technically means, Russia is decimating its might, personnel, abilities and strengths in the long run with no single achievement or whatsoever.
