Western morals “Now they have moved on entirely, to a radical denial of moral norms, religion, and family … “The dictatorship of the Western elites is directed against all societies, including the peoples of the Western countries themselves. This is a challenge to all. This is a complete denial of humanity, the overthrow of faith and traditional values. Indeed, the suppression of freedom itself has taken on the features of a religion: outright Satanism.” “Do we really want, here, in our country, in Russia, instead of ‘mum’ and ‘dad’, to have ‘parent number one’, ‘parent number two’, ‘number three’? Have they gone completely insane? Do we really want … it drilled into children in our schools … that there are supposedly genders besides women and men, and [children to be] offered the chance to undergo sex change operations? … We have a different future, our own future.” |

Clashes in Sudan’s Blue Nile leave thousands stranded without aid Refugees in the Blue Nile say their conditions are becoming increasingly desperate as help fails to arrive. A displaced child stands outside their shelter at the Jamam refugee camp in South Sudan's Upper Nile State. Sudan's Blue Nile state has long seen unrest and displacement due to tribal fighting. [File: Hereward Holland/Reuters] By Al Jazeera Staff Published On 22 Jul 2022 22 Jul 2022 Al-Damazin, Sudan – Tribal fighting in Sudan’s Blue Nile state has forced thousands of people from their homes after violence broke out earlier in July over a land dispute between the Birta and Hausa ethnic groups. The clashes in the state bordering South Sudan and Ethiopia have resulted in a spiralling humanitarian crisis, as aid organisations await the cessation of the hostilities to deliver assistance. Authorities have said that at least 105 people have been killed. YouTube Poster While some have managed to find refuge elsewhere, thousands of people are displaced within the Blue Nile state itself. “I escaped with nothing except the clothes I’m wearing,” Anwar Mohammed told Al Jazeera. Refugees said they were becoming more and more desperate as their location remained hard to reach because of the ongoing fighting. “No one has come to see what our needs are. There are people with chronic diseases and children needing help. We need someone to come and provide us with assistance,” he said. Al Jazeera’s Hiba Morgan, reporting from al-Damazin in the Blue Nile state, said that as long as tribal hostilities persist, getting help to those who need it will remain a challenge. While members of the Hausa tribe say the violence erupted after the Birta rejected a Hausa request to create a “civil authority to supervise access to land”, Birta tribesmen said the tribe was responding to a “violation” of its lands by the Hausa. The government has imposed a curfew and banned large gatherings in two cities in a bid to quell the violence. The Blue Nile state, and the wider region in general, have long seen unrest. Experts say last year’s coup, led by army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, created a security vacuum that has fostered a resurgence in tribal violence, in a country where deadly clashes regularly erupt over land, livestock, access to water and grazing. Pro-democracy demonstrators accuse Sudan’s military leadership and ex-rebel leaders who signed a 2020 peace deal of exacerbating ethnic tensions in the state for personal gain. Critics accused the former government of favouring the Hausa tribe because it believed the others supported the anti-government movement. Observers fear the conflict will become more violent and spill over into the Ethiopian Benishangul-Gumuz region, where Addis Ababa is building the Renaissance Dam. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2022/7/22/clashes-in-sudans-blue-nile-leave-thousands-stranded-with-no-aid&ved=2ahUKEwjEs7XcnpH5AhWPQvEDHUswAE8QFnoECAcQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1ype_lq6cjzqHYWpmPAte6

Mexico City's iconic Azteca Stadium and the Los Angeles Rams' multi-billion dollar SoFi Stadium are among 16 venues to host games at the 2026 World Cup. The first 48-team World Cup will be held in 16 venues across 11 US cities, along with three venues in Mexico and two in Canada. It marks the first time three countries have hosted the tournament. The Azteca Stadium will also be the first venue to feature in three separate World Cups. Los Angeles' Pasadena Rose Bowl, which hosted the 1994 World Cup final, has not been included. Another notable absence was the US capital, Washington DC, which was one of nine host cities the last time the US staged the tournament. The joint bid from Washington DC and Baltimore, Maryland, was one of six that were not chosen alongside Cincinnati, Denver, Nashville, Orlando and Edmonton. "It's been an incredibly competitive process. All the cities have been amazing. This was a very, very difficult choice," said Fifa's chief competitions and events officer Colin Smith. "You can't imagine a World Cup coming to the US. and the capital city not taking a major a role as well." View more on Twitter All 11 stadiums in the US are home to NFL teams and include the New York Giants' MetLife Stadium and $5bn SoFi Stadium that hosted this year's Super Bowl. Both venues are contenders to host the 2026 final, but Fifa president Gianni Infantino said world football's governing body will take their time with a decision. "There are still some discussions to go on and we'll certainly choose the best cities for the openings and the finals," he told Fox Television. "But every match will be a final at this World Cup." The young man had taken to microblogging platform some days ago to announce his intentions to seek the truth about juju. With a starting prize money of N1M, Gbenga got donations up to N2.5M for anyone with solid proof that juju is real and not just a methodological made-believe. “I will be at #Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State Park at 12pm on Friday. Anyone with any evidence for Juju/Voodoo can meet me there. Bring your amulets or your Juju priests. Come and win 1 million naira. This tour will happen at Ibadan and Anambra alike.
