HealthRe: How Can One Treat A Smelling 'Private' Please? by Ortintin: 7:31pm On Mar 26, 2023
imagrg:
This beautiful young lady asked me in confidence how she could treat her smelling private.

She stressed that she washes her private well when taking her bath yet it stinks to Aso Rock.

What's the solution to this embarrassment?
Bath twice. Wear something light or air can easily enter at night.
EducationSerial Procrastination - This Simple Two-step Helped Me Beat it by Ortintin(op):
I couldn't believe I did it again.

I was a serial procrastinator. There was just always so much to do, so many priorities. So, while I knew it would take at least three hours to prepare for our next quarterly meeting, I scheduled time to work on it just before the deadline, and also added it to my "to-do" list.

"I'm sure I'll find time before then to work on this," I told myself. "This calendar appointment is only a failsafe--just in case."

Yeah, right.

Of course, I never did the find time to start early, as other tasks demanded my time and attention. As the deadline crept forward, my anxiety went up--knowing that intense, thought-intensive task loomed over me, like a black cloud that followed me wherever I went.

Why hadn't I learned my lesson? Why did I keep doing this to myself?

Ironically, my efforts to increase productivity had actually made my procrastination habit worse. But a simple two-step process helped me change that habit, and take a completely different approach to managing major projects and tasks.

Before I break down the process, let's see why many of us end up with this problem in the first place.

The problem with batching

Over the years, in an effort to be more productive, I got into the habit of batching.

If you're unfamiliar with the concept, batching involves grouping a set of similar tasks together to complete them all at once (rather than switching back and forth between multiple tasks).

For example, you might schedule specific times of day to check email, rather than leaving your inbox open. Or, you might schedule all your meetings for one day, so you can free up the other days for more introspective work.

There is certainly value in batching; it's an effective tool that can help you manage your workflow and get more done.

The problem is, my habit of trying to batch everything made me only want to work on things when I could get a lot done at one time. I don't know how many times I found myself thinking: "I'll barely have time to get into this, so it's better if I start it later and focus on other tasks that I can finish more quickly."

This actually fed my procrastination habit, because it gave me a "false" feeling of uber-productivity. I needed to make a change.

Over time, some experienced mentors taught me a new way of working, one that nowadays I try to follow religiously. We can boil it down to two simple steps.

Break it down

When you are confronted with a major, time consuming project or task, break it up into smaller, more manageable tasks. Then, schedule several appointments in your calendar to tackle the project one step at a time.

This takes a little more time up front, but it allows you to change your view of the project. For example, my preparation for the quarterly meeting is no longer a huge three hour task that has to be done all at one time...It's something I can work on over the course of one to two weeks, for 15, 30, or even 60 minutes at a time--something that feels much less intimidating.

If I'm still having a hard time getting motivated, I revert to the five-minute rule. Starting a task is always the hardest part, so if you can force yourself to commit for just five minutes, you're more likely to get absorbed in the work and keep going.

Schedule 'important' over 'urgent'

Because your project now looks much more manageable, you may be tempted to schedule it at the end of your work day, and focus on other, more urgent work first. For example, you might focus on a menial task that needs to get done today, but has a negligible effect on your company's bottom line.

Because your project now looks much more manageable, you may be tempted to schedule it at the end of your work day, and focus on other, more urgent work first. For example, you might focus on a menial task that needs to get done today, but has a negligible effect on your company's bottom line.

The problem with this has to do with Parkinson's Law, which states that "work expands so as to fill the time available for completion." When you prioritize "urgent" over "important," you waste tons of time on things that don't really matter.

Instead, schedule the important things first, and as early as possible. That way, you dedicate the best of your resources--the mental energy required for tasks like creativity, critical thinking and problem solving--to the things that matter most to you and your business, rather than allowing mundane activities to eat up your calendar.

There's an additional benefit to splitting up tasks too: When you schedule your work this way, you'll almost always end up with a superior product. That's because when you procrastinate, rush through a project, and finish right at deadline, you'll likely think of things you could have added or changed later on--but it will be too late. It's like you're always submitting your first draft.

But if you work progressively on an important project, and start as early as possible, each aspect of the project will be on your mind for longer. Doing so will provide more insights, allow you to connect more dots, and give you opportunity to make improvements. The result is a much better product than you if you had batched everything at the last minute.

So, the next time you're tempted to push off an important task or project, remember this simple, two-step process:

Break the project down into smaller, more manageable tasks.
Schedule 'important' over 'urgent.'
Doing so will help you to manage your workflow and anxiety--and help you to do the best work of your life.

Ideservebetter:
I understand that most parents want the best for their children but at the same time, they should understand certain things that are beyond one's control.

My parents, relatives even family friends won't stop troubling me about marriage. I can't have healthy conversations with my people without them bringing up the marriage topic and worse off in a controversial manner. They always accuse me of being too selective and other talks like that, making me feel awful.

I desire to get married someday even though I don't see it as a "do or die" thing. I've been in relationships that didn't work out and I'm being blamed for it or asked why I didn't just manage. My God!

I've been thinking of how to get away from all these talk, maybe leaving home or changing my line. I really don't know what to do.
I'm someone people know as happy and bubbly outside but when I'm with my people, it's the complete opposite, minimal joy because they won't stop stressing me. For now, I've stopped attending family events since they'll be gathered there and I don't want anyone messing with my mental health.

I'm fed up, I need advice from matured minds please. cry
Hehehehehe... this used to be my story when i was 28-31 yrs living in my family house then. My tenants and street people no dey allow me rest. Any little thing, - they say "go and marry". It was when I got my own apartment in a new area that nobody knew me I had rest.

If you don't mind can I get to know you more?

PoliticsWhy Peter Obi Of Labour Party Will Not Win The Presidential Election by Ortintin(op): 6:36pm On Jan 03, 2023
Just as you can't expect a baby born today to start walking, never expect a party that came into limelight yesterday to win today.

From the natural point of view everything takes time. You shouldn't expect someone that joined an unknown Party barely 7 months ago to win those that took years to build their structures. Infact if Labour party should win, it won't only be an upset but it should be recorded as 9th wonder of the world.

Even APC couldn't defeat PDP in their first few trials, they had to combine various parties in a "Voltronic" form in order to defeat the then reigning party.

From the statistical point of view, Labour Party has strong hold in only few states compared to PDP and APC. Even in their few strong hold states, APC and PDP will still win them not to talk of Northern part which is a key determinant of Nigeria's presidential election.

In short I don't see Peter Obi winning or getting up to half the votes of APC or PDP. He should keep up the good work and come back in 4 years time; hopefully Labour Party would have gained more grounds by then.

After all being said, No one can deny the fact that Peter Obi has made a big statement by giving life to a third strong party in Nigeria and I hope Labour Party will proof themselves in years to come.

RomanceRe: The Science Behind Why Guys Break Up Just When Girl Starts Falling In Love by Ortintin(op): 10:02am On Sep 10, 2022
Another thing is that just because you are nice or you pamper her or willing to please her at the beginning of the relationship, some girls wants you to keep doing that.
RomanceThe Science Behind Why Guys Break Up Just When Girl Starts Falling In Love by Ortintin(op): 1:02am On Sep 10, 2022
NB: Am not speaking generally for every guy, just sharing my personal experience.

So in response to what a lady posted "Why Do Most Nigerian Guys Do This?" (https://www.nairaland.com/7323955/why-most-nigerian-guys)

Its a long psychological thing but I will try to break it down.

You see nowadays for a man to woo a girl, most especially these fine, sexy girls (wey her eye don open) is not an easy task since many guys will be after her. So you really need to up your game (looking cool, good communication skill, being funny, having little money) to make her fall for you out of the numerous guys flocking her.

Take myself for example, I see a girl I like, I think of words (line) to use then summon up courage to approach her, assume she was impressed by my looks and talks and and she finally gave me her contact, then the real deal starts. That is the calls, going out on a date, communicating, getting to know her better etc. Sometimes this girls come with different baggage and heartbreak from previous exes so they are at first very defensive towards giving you their love - so you have to go the extra mile before she starts opening up to you.

Now this is where I have issues with some girls, when they fall in love with you, they want you all the time, they hardly give you any space. As a man you need private time to think about your life and even lots of work to be done. But obviously you are now their project. They can hardly think of anything else except spending time with you. And while at it, you also have to think of ways to make her smile and happy. Sometimes I need a day or even a week to myself, but girls like this are quick to say you don't love them anymore or you are acting cold, infact they say all sort of things that even when you really love her, you just feel like "carry your wahala dey go jare" This is why some relationships don't last more than 2 - 3 months.

Though there are also other factors that make relationships not last long these days like all these social media thing, harsh economy and so on.

Also One thing I learnt about girls now is that they hate being bored and you must constantly think of ways to spice things up while dating her and all these eventually take a toll on you.

These are just my opinions you are free to criticise it, besides girls have broken my heart too for reasons best known to them.

Wow!. Really
ASUU is a body, the president can not just take decisions without it members consent. So will you sake all the members also ?
Even the members - professors, lecturers & non - teaching staff are tired of the inability of the two bodies to reach an agreement. The truth is that if a system is failing, then someone(bodies) are not working well.

You can profer your own solution instead of trying to criticize my opinion.

Students have been home now for the past 4 months due to Government and education body ASUU not reaching an agreement.

I see this as a case of two elephants fighting and grass suffering.

In a saner country I think the heads of both parties will have reached a consensus if heated.

Nigerians and entitlement mentality

Why not go and work for your own money instead of looking for whom to dash you free money
Am not asking nyone to dash me money am only pointing out facts. If you have read my previous posts you will see where I praised Saraki and PO as competent people am just wary of that his stinginess. The truth is that If you can't risk anything, then you are not worthy of gaining anything.

For a Man of God to come outside and call someone stingy is a red flag, it's obvious such people can't give (Read the story of the lady that gave her widow's mite Luke 21:1–4, or the one that gave her last meal to prophet Elisha 1st king 17:8-16) . This type of people will ration budget, money won't flow. Take this present government for example, the president appears as a man of integrity and someone who doesn't steal the country's wealth but yet we all can agree the country is not doing well.

Am not trying to be bias here or campaign for anyone, all am saying is that PO should change that attitude of not giving. Look at what happened in the Ondo church attack two of the presidential aspirants gave 75m, 10m. Even if it's 1m PO should give but he only gave condolences... That tells a lot...

For me this P.O stinginess is a red flag. I can still remember during Buhari's campaign how he claims to have no money and rich people are the one funding him even uncle Goodluck claims he has no shoe. Though I don't support vote buying but God loves a giver. We must get it right this time o.
