Then he started abusing me and even threatened to kill me. He revealed to me that he knew my wife before I married her. He told me to backoff and let him always have access to her or he will kill me.
I reported the matter to the ekpan police station warri. The IPO who was a lady advised me to thread with caution and report to my family which I did.
I am from Edo State and my wife is from Ondo state. The custom officer is from Ekiti state. The custom officer, Adesola was intimidating me because I was not understanding their language.

I gave my wife everything she needed. I got a loan of 5m from a bank to set up a business for her. She squandered the money and there is nothing to show now in the shop. The bank has started moving in on me, I don't know what to do.

MY children are not in school and my wife just gave birth to a baby for the custom officer.

Teleology Holdings, a special purpose vehicle promoted by a former Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria, Adrian Wood, has been selected as the preferred bidder of 9mobile, sources close to the ongoing sales of the debt-ridden telco confirmed.

Teleology, a private equity firm with an investment portfolio of $11bn, offered more than $500 million to acquire the mobile network while Smile offered about $300 million.

This development may have brought to an end the acquisition process supervised by Barclays Africa.

Smile Telecoms Holdings, a telco operating in Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Congo DR and South Africa, is the reserve bidder.

It was, however, gathered both companies will be given 30 days to prove that they have the financial resources to take over the troubled telco, just as an official announcement is expected to be made, latest, next Monday.

While over 10 bidders had indicated interest in acquiring the mobile network, only five were shortlisted before the number was further reduced to three.

Globacom and Helios had failed to back their technical bids with concrete financial bids, while Airtel pulled out of the process last week, leaving just Teleology and Smile Communications in the acquisition quest.

Airtel pulled out completely, complaining about “too many hidden things” in the health of the company.

Analysts project that if either Globacom or Airtel had taken over the company formerly known as Etisalat, they would have overtaken MTN as the biggest operator in Nigeria by a number of subscribers.

MTN currently has about 52 million active subscribers while Globacom and Airtel have 37 million and 36 million respective.

9mobile, formerly known as Etisalat, has over 17 million subscribers, which if added to either of Globacom’s or Airtel’s, would have been higher than what MTN currently has.

Wood was a CEO of MTN Nigeria around 2002 was credited with building a very good business model.

The Australian has remained in the Nigerian business environment since November 2004 when he left MTN.

In July 2017, 9mobile was taken over by banks following a N541 billion debt overhang.
Mubadala Group, the major investor from the United Arab Emirates, pulled out of Nigeria’s fourth largest mobile operator as a result of the debt owed to a consortium of 13 banks.

The telco was then put on sale, with Barclays Africa acting as transaction advisers.
The telecom regulator, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), is expected to have the final say after decision of the interim board — because of licensing laws.

The NCC on January 11 had said “Barclays is expected to review the bids received by the deadline and to make recommendations to the 9Mobile Interim Board thereafter.”
After these processes, the interim board of 9mobile will then notify CBN and NCC of the winning bid.

“The NCC and CBN will be duly notified once the 9Mobile Interim Board accepts Barclays’ recommendations and a winning bid is determined in accordance with the terms of the exercise.

“The winner will now apply to NCC in order to commence the processes for securing the regulatory approvals from the Board of the NCC necessary to give full effect to the transfer.”

Meanwhile, the ongoing sale of 9mobile has continued despite a Friday, January 12, 2018, court ruling expected to have put the ongoing sale process in shambles.

In the judgment, Justice Ibrahim Buba of a Federal High Court in Lagos nullified the appointment of an interim board for Emerging Markets Telecommunications Service (EMTS), owners of 9mobile, the country’s fourth-largest telecommunications service operator in Nigeria.

The judge gave the verdict in a ruling on an application by a firm, Spectrum Wireless Communication Ltd, which claimed it invested $35 million in EMTS/Etisalat in 2009.
United Capital, which is the umbrella body of all the 13 banks being owed $1.2 billion by 9mobile, had since appealed the court’s verdict.

The Senate President had approached the court, asking it to put an end to his trial at the Tribunal, describing the trial as a breach of his fundamental human rights enshrined in Section Four of the 1999 constitution and an obstruction to his duties at the National Assembly.

But in his ruling, the trial Judge, Abdul Kafarati, held that the CCT is a constitutional body, in the discharge of its legal obligation which should not be interfered with by a court of law.

“I find that none of the claims fall within chapter four of the constitution”

Saraki should smell the coffee and wake up. Nigeria is not a chess board, insha allah, the jail is widely open for him or HBP will send him straight to six feet. Having said that, am really confused about this report because: 1. What are the police charging him for in a magistrate where armed robbery and other terrible crimes like what this report seem to just suggest do not have jurisdiction except a holding charge is preferred.
2. Whereas the body of the report depicts that the man was being tried for armed robbery but the title doesnt correspond.

Musician Bobby Brown was faced with more heartache after he lay 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina to rest yesterday, with his wife, Alicia Etheredge, being rushed to hospital after suffering a seizure.

According to TMZ reports, mere hours after saying goodbye to his daughter at her funeral, Bobby’s wife, who had given birth to their daughter Bodhi, earlier this month, had to be taken to hospital via ambulance as paramedics rushed to help her.

Thankfully, Alicia was able to make a recovery and Bobby is expected to attend Bobbi Kristina’s burial in New Jersey tomorrow.

The young starlet’s funeral was held at the St James United Methodist Church, which is where she often used to go to pray with her late mother, Whitney Houston, and it has been said that Whitney’s picture was present at the altar.

Mourners were left in floods of tears as a choir sung ‘Stand’ by Donnie McClerkin, the same song that was played at Bobbi’s mother’s funeral three years ago.

However, the peaceful service was brought to a halt after Bobbi’s aunt, Leolah Brown, was asked to leave the church following an outburst while another aunt, Pat Houston, was making a tribute.

Sporting a black dress shirt, the grieving Brown was one of the first to exit the tension-filled private service for Bobbi Kristina on Saturday at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, just north of Atlanta. Twenty-two-year-old Bobbi Kristina was the only child between Brown and the late megastar singer Whitney Houston.

Bobbi Kristina died in hospice care July 26, about six months after she was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her townhome.

Several celebrities showed up for the funeral including filmmaker Tyler Perry, Grammy-winning R&B singer Monica and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.

In the middle of the service Bobby Brown's sister Leolah Brown walked out of the church and spoke to reporters gathered outside. She said she was angry because Pat Houston was speaking at the funeral. Pat Houston is the sister-in-law and former manager for the late Whitney Houston.

"I told her that Whitney is going to haunt her from the grave," Leolah Brown told reporters outside the church.

She suggested that the feud between the Houstons and the Browns was far from over.

For years, there's been a longstanding rift between the families of the young woman's famous mother and father. Bobby Brown briefly appeared at Houston's funeral three years ago, saying he and his children were seated but asked repeatedly to move. On Saturday, she was remembered in a private service. A hearse carrying Bobbi Kristina arrived nearly three hours ahead of the service. Four men dressed in black suits carried the coffin into the church.

Eight police motorcycles escorted three stretch limousines, carrying mourners to the church in Alpharetta ahead of the service. A procession of dozens of cars followed.

Security was heavy outside the church. About 75 members of the media stood behind a barricade at the entrance of the church parking lot, while more than two dozen onlookers were just a few feet behind them.

Alpharetta police say they were assisted by more than a dozen state troopers to manage traffic and shut down lanes to accommodate parking around the church where the service was being held.

Bobbi Kristina was the sole heir of her mother's estate. She identified herself on Twitter as "Daughter of Queen WH," ''Entertainer/Actress" with William Morris & Co., and "LAST of a dying breed."
