In the north, those of them that went to Universities in the South are also better "respected" The Lagos thing is so true. That Lagos wey ghetto full everywhere. I couldn't compare my neighborhood in Enugu or PH with the average neighborhood there. I had cousins that lived in Ikoyi and a good area of Surulere and Ikeja back then. Their places were very cool, I agree but there were also some cousins in Ojota and Ajegunle and those ones will be making making Lagos shakara to those of us in the east at Christmas too including those that spoke pidgin English as their first language. There's nothing we didn't see na fly over we go chop? |

I agree with your friends. There's nothing as attractive as a loving spouse who knows when to quit a fight. All you men running after girls just because they are lighter skinned with 38 DD cups I pity una. Character, character, character That is the only lasting attraction of any man or woman. Physical beauty is nothing compared to good character. |

Osisi sounds local and ghetto too. I've never seen any city girl that has that name . Is Osi (the football star)the short form for osisi? Is earthmama your baptismal name? abeg osisi is cool Your hearthrob Osi the footballplayer is probably Ositadinma usually shortened to Osita or Osi It means "let it be good from now onwards" That your Funmilayo is a ghetto name in case you don't know More like Funmidollar It's just above Iyabo and Kudirat on the ghetto scale didn't they see trendier names like Toyin and Tosin or even Yetunde to give you? You need to sue someone |

Well my biggest challenge was leaving my fiance for another man That man is now my husband and I couldn't be happier. I lost many friends temporarily in the process. I have no regrets whatsoever. Before saying "I do" the individuals have a right to say "I don't", anytime. |

gadogado: this is funny coz i know the mans first child.his name is idris and i went to secondary school with him in kaduna.he is my age meaning he is around 24 yrs old,so his first son is 4 yrs older than his fathers 20 yr old new bride.the wife should be for his son not him the governor. i mean if the marriage is political, didnt you see how dangote did and sani bello did it? dangote's daughter married col. sani bello's (former kano governor) son.
The thing is most marriages in the north are purely economic and not necessarily love and understanding based.so a woman will marry a man if he can provide for her.but it makes the yar'aduas look backward, money hungry and desperate to have their 20 yr old marry a 53 yr old man.its 2008 and this is an outdated practise that is common in economically impoverished societies. this speaks alot about the family values of the yar'adua's. what happens when she's 40 and he's 73.obviously he may die around that time and she'll be widowed with kids and where will she get a husband then??what can they possibly have in common that he wants to marry her? he cannot confide in her coz shes a child that doesnt know much, so all she is is a sex object for oga governor.thats sad!!i feel bad for her coz now she wont know what a real marriage feels like. tsk tsk tsk Thank you Go and tell them that Osisi said while her father Yaradua is getting his kidneys checked, they should check his head too. I bet you the girl will be doing Idris on the side. She's already a mumu so it's not as though she'll be doing anything out of character. |

Negro_Ntns: Michelle had spent so many years dressing powerfully for corporate boardrooms that she forgot how to dress or carry herself with sophistication. She will need help with her image makeover but more importantly, her stylist. . .Oh my God, I think her stylist needs Jesus!
What do you all think of President Obama introducing her with "What do you all think of my wife. . ."? This is anunfamiliar ground but I'm sure he will get it right with time but for tonight he stumbled with that introduction.
I would have said "I present your First Lady, Mrs Michelle Obama. She is glamorous". that's why he's at the ball and you're at a run down internet cafe in a shady part of town, whinning |
