speak2lift: Absolutely everything falls and rise on LEADERSHIP.
Someone asked a very important question up there which i think has the answers to the problem plaguing our country:
1) Why are People not cutting corners with current telcos Airtel, MTN and the likes?
2) Why do bank tellers not just walk into the vault and take all the cash there to their houses(of course some have tried and some will still try but the consequences are there...)
3) Why are workers in Private enterprises more responsible with their deliverables than their counterparts in Public orgs?
4) Why is it that Nigerians behave themselves in orderly manner when they travel abroad?
Take a minute to reflect on the above.
It is all about Leadership. It is the responsibility of the leaders to set a very strong tone from the top. It is the responsibility of leaders to put in place controls and ensure that whenever these controls are breached, the appropriate person is sanctioned whoever it is. That is why they are leaders. They are to set the pace.
I remember when Buhari first assumed power, everyone started behaving themselves, some public officials who had stopped going to work early started doing so for fear of what come for the "Iron General", People temporarily stopped asking for bribes in case there were Buhari agents on the lookout. But after 2 months and they saw that everything was "Audio Transparency", they all returned to their normal selves.
In my current place of work, I know there are certain things that if i get myself involved with them, I will be shown the door immediately. No one I beg will listen to me. Because the rules are clear and the standard is being maintained to the highest. You can choose not to follow it but our leadership have made it clear what will happen if you go agaist them
Look, we dont need to push responsibility back and forth.
We need strong leaders. We need leaders who have vision and who have solid exposure and reasoning power and we need leaders who have the desire to create a legacy. All the ones we have there are just stomach-leaders and that is the beginning of our problem. I think it is a game of numbers, businesses with many incompetent workers go under all d time. That is why in most establishments the selection process is very rigorous. Other factors beign equal, a business needs more competent and conscientious individuals, like 90%. In a country like Nigeria where more than 70% are mediocre or ignorant or dishonest or both, it isn't hard to see why things are not working. In the west, more than 70% are skilled, literate and conscientious and things work. Over there ordinary citizens will report you to d authorities if you flaunt rules. It is not just d leaders, everyone contributes to a better society. Except u want to go back to military rule where people are forced to behave, even that one get k-leg. |

nna777: I knew my second paragraph might interest you since you are from a mathematical/statistical background.
All available data can be found at the CBN and our stock market sites respectively. All I needed to do what cross-check the data of FPI inflows/outflows with the bulls/bears and make my conclusion. Anyone can do it. It's public info.
Maybe you can help with a graphical representation. It's not my forte. You are referring to this link on NSE website: http://www.nse.com.ng/market-data/other-market-information/foreign-portfolio-investment-reportOk, I will collate the data and check for patterns later. Also, I looked at a few months and I noticed; 1. Domestic transactions outweighs foreign transactions. 2. On the foreign transaction side outflows are higher than the inflows(July to April 2020) Anyway, thanks for pointing me in this direction, very useful info. |
If you superimpose the months of inflows and outflows of FPIs with the months in which we experience major bulls or bears in our exchange, it's picture perfect.
Be a little more professional, show us some statistics, do you have data to backup ur assertions. I am not saying u are wrong though. |

VerifiedStalin: You're the one that brought feminism up. Just trying to remind you that it was a thing long before your parents were born. It's not something to be mocked. I wasn't mocking anyone, I am just pointing out that a she-hulk is a bad idea. I don't know about d comics but I have watched the hulk on screen over d years and it made perfect sense, a she-hulk not so much. I checked some comics online and noticed that they kept changing her form over d years. She is very muscular in some while slim and tall in others, u can see that a she-hulk doesn't really fit in and is more like a rushed addition. While hulk has always maintained a beastly physique. |

Achilles200: No, my last answer was misleading, I have modified it. That is what feminists cause, why should we have a she-hulk? They will probably use a female bodybuilder, their boobs sabi large o. |

IngeniousLeez: She- Hulk series begins proceedings. Lol, given that hulk's transformation is mostly spontaneous and in d moment how will a she hulk happen. Like, will she tear up her dress and shove massive green colored boobs in d viewers face? Or will she run to her X closet everytime she is about to ... and dress up with d pink outfit and gloves to match? Ok na, let's see. |

emmanuelewumi: Don't try it at home unless you are informed and knowledgeable about it I don't see any downsides here, I bought close to bottom. Zenith is a solid bank. If d dividend payout continues, and I believe it will, I recover my capital in 5 to 6 years. That is if I don't experience the 200 to 300% rise first. |

ojesymsym: Hope you do not plan to liquidate that zenith anytime soon? In terms of EPS, I believe it is one of the cheapest stock. AFIPUD seems to be another. Not yet o, I am hoping for 200 to 300% growth in d next 2 years once exchange rate stabilize. Same happened in 2016, by 2018 it was over 300%. Plus, dividend is in d range of 16 to 20% if it maintains status quo. I am buying more, sef. |

rmx: Don’t see why you are too upset , you have hedged some or most of your funds ,you should count yourself lucky , what of those that dint change any , Just learn from this and know how to be better with the next crisis
For me apart from the hedging I did in $ and inputs much earlier in the year , I did a lot of plays in the stock market when it crashed March ending , just existed over the last 2 weeks with 35 to 55 % gain , beaten devaluation with those funds also ,also doing some plays in commercial properties . Wont indicate amounts involved in my plays , realized not many people can handle figures here . it’s not compulsory we all partake in economic downturn, recession or devaluation With proper planning . We learn everyday Oga Ahib dey try, he is very current. Earlier this year, he mentioned zenith beign a good stock to buy at the price then. That provoked my intrest in d NSE. I liquidated my small Tbills, then split in 2, put one part in d 7 year sukuku bond and d other in the stock market. Zenith has appreciated with more than 38% since I bought it. Though, I am in d market presently as I believe there is still room for growth. |
