It is only the kingdom of God that will put a permanent end to all mankind's problems. So just 4get about 4million jobs per annum; 1$=1#; Rice Pyramids; and other campaign promises by human governments. |
With tears in my eyes i say this is a very touching story. |
luvinhubby:That man worry Abacha no be small. |
Emusan: @ the first bolded I would have loved to provide answers to all your questions but you have already judged me and in deed all Jehovah's witnesses and yet you're accusing us of judging people of other denominations. Now between me and you who started the judging now? Even when i cited a scriptural truth to support the fact that Jesus is the judge, you said this is pure lies. So no matter what i say to you, it will make no sense. @the second bolded. The scriptures talked about the house of God and you're here referring to the Kingdom Hall. You seem to be antagonist from the onset. So you'll get no answer from me please. @ the 3rd bolded You know absolutely nothing about Jehovah's witnesses. And as Jesus answered Pontius Pilate in John 18:34, i also answer you: 34Jesus replied, Are you saying this of yourself [on your own initiative], or have others told you about Me? But kindly read 1Thessalonians 5:3; Revelation 17:1-18. A woman is seen sitting on a beast that has 7 heads and 10 horns. Verse 16 says the beast will hate the woman and will kill her. But b4 now they were friends. Verse 17 says God puts it in the hearts of the beast to do the destruction. So God will not be the one to kill the woman but he will use something else to destroy the woman. After the wild beast have destroyed the woman(who b4 now were friends), the wild beast and its cronies will begin to lament over the death of this woman. Apparently they never knew what they did. You can see the rest of the story in Revelation 18:1-24. These events in 1Thessalonians and Revelation 17 and 18 refer to one and the same thing and it will happen b4 Armageddon. The war of Armageddon is recorded in chapter 19. So Who is this woman and what is the wild beast? Who is Babylon the Great? You can meet your Pastor/Bishop to explain these things to you because even if i do you will call it "pure lies". |
ospido: Thank you very kindly for all your questions raised so far. Achorladey: Are you thanking an apostate or the moniker Achorladey? What crime did i commit for commending you for your questions asked? You yourself have identified yourself as an apostate. You asked me from the very beginning to employ public relations and i know i did my best but most of your comments and questions look like the ones the religious leaders in Jesus day employed. Matthew 22:15-18. Finally, you have accused Jehovah's witnesses of judging other religions in almost every subject matter. But a closer look at my personal comments have i also done that? I specifically told you that Jesus is the judge. But you have been judging us, and your comments and questions all reveal that you have been the one judging Jehovah's witnesses. I will conclude by saying that you have also derailed the thread. Most of the questions i have personally answered were either repeated or rephrased by you even when the answers are clear. What more can i say? 6 “Do not give what is holy to dogs nor throw your pearls before swine, so that they may never trample them under their feet and turn around and rip you open. And may the sentiments of 2 Peter 2:21,22 not be our portion. |
Maximus69:Rightly said brother. We will keep on the watch until Jesus finally comes to executive judgment against this wicked system of things. Keep the good work up as we continue to support Christ brothers in this never to be repeated disciple making work. Am also happy am witnessing all of this too. The Gorverning Body is not relenting too in it's oversight function. We see this play out during this "Always Rejoice Regional Convention." This weekend is yet another moment to listen to the talks. |
Maximus69:This global pandemic readily comes to mind. The holy spirit is actually helping God's people today. |

achorladey:Am doing my best to be faithful. None of us can judge. Only God will judge me to be faithful or unfaithful. 1Cor. 10:12 says: "So let the one who thinks he is standing beware that he does not fall." And Zephaniah 2:2,3 says: " 2 "Before the decree takes effect, Before the day passes by like chaff, Before the burning anger of Jehovah comes upon you, Before the day of Jehovah’s anger comes upon you," 3 "Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth, Who observe his righteous decrees. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably you will be concealed on the day of Jehovah’s anger." So if after seeking Jehovah, righteousness and meekness and yet there's probability in survival,it goes to show that it is not by our power but God's grace. But in connection with the Faithful Slave (Servant) which i used earlier,it is only Jesus who chooses this group of people to serve in that capacity. See them at Matthew 24:45-47. Their work is to feed Jesus' sheep in this time of the end until he returns. Sure i am a slave of Jesus Christ. |
achorladey:Thank you very kindly for all your questions raised so far. My fellow believer is one who, like me observes the sayings of Jesus Christ as enshrined in the Holy Bible. There are two types of religion: 1. True Religion 2. False Religion Jesus taught his followers only one religion, the true religion. It is like a road leading to everlasting life. Jesus said: “Few are finding” that road. (Matthew 7:14) God accepts only worship based on his Word of truth. All true worshippers are united in one faith.—Read John 4:23, 24; 14:6; Ephesians 4:4, 5. Jesus warned that false prophets would corrupt Christianity. Outwardly, they seem like true worshippers. Their churches claim to be Christian. But you can recognize such people for what they really are. How? Only true worship produces genuine Christians with recognizable qualities and ways.—Read Matthew 7:13-23. Consider these five identifying marks: 1.True worshippers respect the Bible as God’s Word. They strive to live by its principles. So true religion differs from religion that is based on men’s ideas. (Matthew 15:7-9) True worshippers do not preach one thing and practice another.—Read John 17:17; 1Timothy 3:16,17. 2. Jesus’ true followers honor God’s name, Jehovah. Jesus honored God’s name by making it known. He helped people to know God and taught them to pray that God’s name be sanctified. (Matthew 6:9) Where you live, which religion makes God’s name known?—Read John 17:26; Romans 10:13, 14. 3.True Christians preach about God’s Kingdom. God sent Jesus to preach the good news of the Kingdom. God’s Kingdom is the only hope for mankind. Jesus continued speaking about it until his dying day. (Luke 4:43; 8:1; 23:42, 43) He said that his followers would preach about it. If someone approaches you to speak about God’s Kingdom, to which religion does he likely belong?—Read Matthew 24:14. 4. Jesus’ followers are no part of this wicked world. You can recognize them by the way they take no part in politics or social conflicts. (John 17:16; 18:36) Also, they do not imitate the world’s harmful practices and attitudes.—Read James 4:4. 5. True Christians have outstanding love for one another. From God’s Word, they learn to respect all ethnic groups. Although false religions have often strongly supported the wars of the nations, true worshippers refuse to do so. (Micah 4:1-3) Rather, true Christians unselfishly use their time and resources to help and encourage others.—Read John 13:34, 35; 1 John 4:20. Can you identify the true religion? Which religion bases all its teachings on God’s Word, honors God’s name, and proclaims God’s Kingdom as mankind’s only hope? Which group practices love and shuns war? What do you think?—Read 1 John 3:10-12. Conclusion The person who belongs to the Christian denomination that practice all 5 points above is my fellow believer. Whether am a Church goer or not I'll keep it to my chest. The clergy, their laity, the religious leaders and the Church itself are the ones that usually refer to themselves as CHRISTENDOM. That word does not originate from us. Believe me. And it is not a scriptural terminology. I told you earlier that Jehovah's Witnesses do not judge. Rather, Jesus is the judge appointed by Jehovah (Acts 17:31). He will judge everyone including you and i. And judgment will start in the "house of God." (1 Peter 4:17-19). While false religion will be judged adversely. See also Revelation 17:1-18; 18:4-24. Note that this woman here depict not a literal woman but false religion who commits spiritual immorality with the kings of the earth. Meaning they fuse religion with politics. God frowns at this (James 4:4). Rev.18:4 says we should "get out of her." And in Rev. 18:22-24 says: (Amplified Bible) 22And the sound of harpists and minstrels and flute players and trumpeters shall never again be heard in you, and no skilled artisan of any craft shall ever again be found in you, and the sound of the millstone shall never again be heard in you.(N) 23And never again shall the light of a lamp shine in you, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall never be heard in you again; for your businessmen were the great and prominent men of the earth, and by your magic spells and poisonous charm all nations were led astray (seduced and deluded). 24And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all those who have been slain (slaughtered) on earth.(O) Now from my screenshots below where i google the meaning of CHRISTENDOM, who are those that fuse Religion with Politics? Kindly provide the answer yourself.

FrLukas:True China don't allow them to operate. The Chinese govt banned the app long long ago. You can google it. |
IgbalodeRaymond:The bitter truth. Does Chinese govt allow such apps including Facebook, Twitter and others to operate in China? No is the answer. My brother practising his religion was arrested and kept in prison and accused of being a spy for the US which is totally false. |
Maximus69:Good morning brother. I actually sensed it because of the usage of our theocratic terms in his/her writeup. If true then it seems he left the truth a long time ago considering the new truths issuing from the Faithful slave which he's not aware of. The Chariot is really on the move brother. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Enjoy your day. |
achorladey:A Christian Witness is one who observes all the commandments of Jesus Christ after putting faith in Jesus' Ransom sacrifice (John 3:16; John 17:3) One of such commands is found in Romans 10:10 which says: "For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness but with the mouth one make public declaration for salvation." See their judgment @ 2Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 19:11-18 Psalm 37:9,10 Etc. |
achorladey:@ the second bolded. It means Fellow Believer When we work from house to house, we call repeatedly on people who were not interested when we previously visited them. Why, then, do we keep calling? We realize that people’s circumstances change and that an individual who seemed indifferent or even opposed on a previous visit may be interested the next time we call. With that in mind, we prepare well and pray for Jehovah’s blessing so that something we say this time will strike a responsive chord. If, in our house-to-house work, we willingly preach to people who previously showed no interest at all, should we not all the more willingly call back on anyone who shows some interest in the Kingdom message?—Acts 10:34, 35. Many of us are in the truth today because a publisher patiently made return visits on us. If you are one of these, you may ask yourself: ‘What initial impression did I make on that publisher? Did I immediately embrace the Kingdom message when I first heard it? Could I have seemed indifferent?’ We should be happy that the publisher who called back judged us worthy of a return visit, ‘mustered up boldness by means of God,’ made the call, and proceeded to teach us the truth. What of those individuals who show some interest at first but later seem to be avoiding us? A positive attitude is vital, as the following experience bears out........ Only Jehovah and Jesus judge people as to whether they're goats or sheep. And that judgment is yet future.Jehovah's witnesses don't judge others. Finally, using the term church goers doesn't mean one is being judgemental. Now haven't you observed that someone may commit a sin in a particular denomination and changes to another denomination? |
achorladey:If he's not my brother then who is he to me? My enemy? We show brotherly love to everyone but especially to those related to us in the faith as the Bible put it @ Galatians 6:10. Or why do you think we keep coming to knock on people's doors? |
sonofElElyon:And i wish you same too. |
Maximus69:May all glory goes to Jehovah brother, because He's the one who actually drew you to Himself. May you continue to serve Jehovah in spirit and truth. And i know you're also reaching out for service privileges. Remain blessed brother. |
sonofElElyon:Gently my brother. But i like to say that there are good people in all religions. And Jesus is the judge not me nor any JW's and i know not you too. So we don't judge anybody neither do we judge any religion. Only Jesus will judge. Having said that, we try our best to live in accordance with the righteous standards set out in the Bible. Besides, we also apply what John 13:35 says which is the "identifying mark of true worshippers." And you'll agree with me that TRUE LOVE eludes the world. So identifying the true religion is not going to be difficult. Do have a good night rest. |
sonofElElyon:Nice talking with you. I will cherish this discussion for a long time to come. Remain blessed. |
sonofElElyon:SonofElElyon all the points you presented here to a great extent are facts yet they all disprove the Trinity doctrine rather than support it. And while some persons call what we're doing argument,we call it reasoning. Let me begin with John 1:1. I told you in my previous comment that there is reference to God or God like and you presented them as well. So I'll use your presentation in my comments here. 1. (kai ho logos en pros ton theon) and 2. (kai theos en ho logos) If theon is translated God then how can theos be translated God? If theon is translated God why will theos be translated God? Why not use the same Greek word? The New World Translation and others too use such words as "a god" it also means "divine" or "godlike" because the Greek word (theos) is a singular predicate noun occurring b4 the verb and is not preceded by the definite article. This is anarthrous (theos). The God with whom the Word, or Logos, was originally is designated here by (theos) preceded by the definite article ho. This is an articular (theos). The articular construction of the noun points to an identity, a personality, whereas a singular anarthrous predicate noun preceding the verb points to a quality about someone. Therefore, John's statement that the Word,or Logos was "god" or "divine" or "godlike" does not mean that he was the God with whom he was. It merely express a certain quality about the Word, or Logos, but it does not identify him as one and the same as God himself. In the Greek text there are many cases of a singular anarthrous predicate noun preceding the verb, such as those listed in the accompanying chart. In these places translators insert the indefinite article “a” before the predicate noun in order to bring out the quality or characteristic of the subject. Since the indefinite article is inserted before the predicate noun in such texts, with equal justification the indefinite article “a” is inserted before the anarthrous θεός in the predicate of John 1:1 to make it read “a god.” The Sacred Scriptures confirm the correctness of this rendering. In his article “Qualitative Anarthrous Predicate Nouns: Mark 15:39 and John 1:1,” published in Journal of Biblical Literature, Vol. 92, Philadelphia, 1973, p. 85, Philip B. Harner said that such clauses as the one in John 1:1, “with an anarthrous predicate preceding the verb, are primarily qualitative in meaning. They indicate that the logos has the nature of theos. There is no basis for regarding the predicate theos as definite.” On p. 87 of his article, Harner concluded: “In John 1:1 I think that the qualitative force of the predicate is so prominent that the noun cannot be regarded as definite.” Following is a list of instances in the gospels of Mark and John where various translators have rendered singular anarthrous predicate nouns occurring before the verb with an indefinite article to denote the indefinite and qualitative status of the subject nouns: Remember that Thomas referred to Jesus as "godlike" and not God Jehovah himself. Check the Greek noun used by Thomas. You cited 1Corinthians 8:5. Note that the account referred to other "gods" as existing in heavens and on earth. They include Angels in heaven and even demons too. Yes Angels have been called gods in Psalm 82:1,6; John 10:34,35. But note that the Jews were the ones saying Jesus said he was God. Jesus never said he was God,rather he said in john 10:36,37 that he is God's son and not God himself. But again Paul said there is actually to us ONE GOD THE FATHER. He didn't say One God (the father, son and holy spirit) Besides,he pointed to Jesus' role as Lord. Don't forget too that "God", "god", "Father", Almighty, mighty Lord and so on are all TITLES and not names and can be used interchangeably at one point or another. Jesus was also called the mediator between God and men. That's his role. That's why we pray to Jehovah in the name of Jesus. And not pray to Jesus in the name of Jesus. Finally Jesus is a Creation of Jehovah Jesus died and Jehovah cannot Jesus is a servant of Jehovah, son of Jehovah and under the feet of Jehovah. All these renders the Trinity doctrine useless. There was a time when the doctrine was on the lips of many pastors but now many are dropping the idea because God's word is powerful and is the Truth (Romans 5:12; John 17:17) Deuteronomy 32:39 On Angel Michael if you want us to discuss that then we don't need to bring it to this topic to avoid be clouding issues. But we can discuss it independently after this.

Nbotee:Let's keep sounding this. If i warn you about a potential danger but disregarded my warnings then you'll reap the disastrous results. Giving a monkey a drink is not an issue but obtaining or retrieving the cup back is the issue. IT IS FINISHED. |
9gerian:Once upon a time in this country one man emerged as the leader. There was protest in Lagos for days and no one was arrested or molested. There was freedom of virtually everything. They said the leader should be voted out. They voted him out and the present leader was installed. Today what do we have? Those of us who were of age when he first ruled witnessed what happened back then. We warned that history will repeat itself. Worst and catastrophic events are ahead. Owologbo:Yes i have. But unfortunately something was omitted in this verse you quoted. Study this materials below carefully. I want you to take note of the difference in the use of the word "God" in John 1:1. God appeared twice in John 1:1. (See screenshot). The Greek word for the 1st God is this...(θεόν). (See 1st arrow to your right) While that for the 2nd God is this... (θεὸς) (See the 2nd arrow to your left). They're both different. While the first one is rendered God, the 2nd one is rendered "a god." There is an indefinite article "a" which precedes the second. This indefinite article "a" was omitted in most translations. sonofElElyon:The Trinity doctrine says that there are 3 God's in one,God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and that they 1. CO-EXISTED, are 2. CO-EQUAL and are 3.CO-ETERNAL. But the Bible disagree with this concept. 1. CO-EXISTED. Jesus is a CREATION. God Almighty (Yahweh) created Jesus first b4 creating all other things. After his creation he joined God in creating other things just like an apprentice. Colossians 1:15; Revelation 3:14; and Proverbs 8:22-30. So how can the CREATION co-exist with the CREATOR? Impossible. 2. CO-EQUAL. i. At John 14:28, Jesus himself said "the father is greater than i am." ii. At John 20:17, Jesus calls the father his God and the disciples God too. So Yahweh is God over Jesus and us in same way. iii. At 1Corinthians 11:3, when discussing the hierarchy of headship said that the head of Christ is God (Yahweh). iii. At 1Corinthians 15:27, everything is under the feet of Jesus except God (Yahweh). iv. 1 Corinthians 15:28, Jesus himself will subject himself under God (Yahweh) that God will be all things to everyone. v. Acts 3:13,26 says Jesus is a SERVANT of God (Amplified version: see the screenshots and reference below which is omitted in the king James version). vi. At John 17:3, Jesus called God (Yahweh) the ONLY TRUE GOD. When you say something is "only" it means alone, "only one" and in verse 5 he prayed that God should glorify him(Jesus) side by side with God (Yahweh) the way it was b4 the beginning. Being side by side means they're 2 persons not 1 person. vii. At Luke 22:41,42 Jesus prayed and begged God on bended knees exactly the way you and i do when we beg God on bended knees. This confirms the superiority of God over Jesus and that Jesus was helpless. Have you read anywhere where God was praying to Jesus? Viii. Acts 7:56 After his ascension to Heaven Jesus was seen at the right Hand side of God showing that they were two persons not three. And they were seen side by side. This also confirms his earlier prayer in John 17:5 cited earlier. In all of these how can they be equal to each other? Don't you think? 3. CO-ETERNAL. They cannot be co-eternal because Jesus died but God cannot die. Your illustration of Amoeba doesn't apply because if the Amoeba splits through the process of mitosis the splitter don't reunite with the parent one. But from your analogy Jesus reunited again with his father making 1+1+1=1. In Your previous comment you agreed Jesus is not Almighty God but you check this post am replying to now, you said that Jesus is Almighty God. You see, the more you try to defend the Trinity, the more you confuse yourself. This is confusion. And at 1Corinthians 14:33 the Bible says "God is not a God of disorder." The Trinity doctrine is not scriptural.
|
sonofElElyon:Thank you for agreeing that Jesus is not the father. We're making a head way already. Now take your mind to John 17:20-23 Particularly in verse 22 and i say, in the sense of UNITY that Jesus and God Almighty are one. Take into consideration that Jesus disciples are to be one too. Is it in nature too as you alluded to above? Besides, see the accounts of Psalm 82:1; John 10:34,35; and 1Corinthians 8:5. Here refer to other "gods" which includes Angels and even the demons (remember they were angels b4). But there is only One God not two Gods or three in One. While there us only One Lord not two lords or three in one. Finally,do you know that Jesus has an origin and is a creation whereas God Almighty (Yaweh) does not and is not? Please confirm this in Colossians 1:15; Revelation 3:14 and Proverbs 8:22. |
