ganisucks:
The Labour party DG, Chief Akin Osuntokun has said that Gen Obasanjo is fully behind the campaign to make Peter Obi the next president of Nigeria.
He said this at an interview on the popular political show on channels TV: Politics today.
He also said that he has never lost an election in which he was part of a campaign team.
He won in 2003, 2011.
He further stated that Peter Obi as no rival or competition.
The more reason he would lose... Obj can't deliver his polling unit for Obi/LP.
PoliticsRe: What I Noticed On Lagos-ibadan Expressway by OsunOriginal: 5:42pm On Dec 28, 2022
Kapeter:
I shuttle between Ibadan, Abeokuta and Lagos often. I'm mostly on that expressway but for a while now I've been stuck in Ibadan cuz of the numerous evil new about the Fulani herdsman menace on that highway.

Just before this December I read on the news some AIG visited this very same highway and together with Seyi Makinde the governor of Oyo state, I remember they promised that the road will become safer and there should be no panicking or fear and that people should go about their journey as it would become just as before where everyone can travel safely using the expressway.

Hehe. Yesterday was my favourite cousin introduction at Abeokuta and I had no choice than to be there.

I took a public bus (not that I have a car though but I can always get one when the need arise) off to Abeokuta and on my way what I saw makes me wanna go to every SW government house and say a very big thank you to all our governors.

There are bunch of Amotekun stations, Police, Army. Almost at every where till the end of Oyo state axis and then when you get to the Ogun state axis, you will see the OP Mesa patrolling the whole expressway.

The Ibadan axis has actually been the hotspot for the criminals actually but almost everywhere on the road you will see Amotekuns station even 12 am I was still on the road yesterday travelling safely with peace of mind seeing the huge security on that expressway.

This is Akeredolus biggest achievement so far in governance as the chairman of the SWGF. I couldn't help but be once again glad and proud to be South Westerner yesterday when I saw Amotekuns stations all over the place.

What I found amazing the most yesterday was if your car/vehicle get broken, you'd be surprised at the speed the OP Mesas and Amotekuns would get to you to stay with you while you fix it. Damn. They will stay right there with you protecting you untill your car can move again. Na. This is all that I ever pray for.

I'm so proud of SW governors for Amotekun. God bless them so much. Tonim God bless you and yours too. Thanks for all the love you have for Yorubaland.

Yorubaland will sure take its place God willing.
When we say a progressive from southwest must rule Nigeria, this is the reason.

The South is not like the north where you have bunch of beggars looking for handouts.

Down south, people are busy doing business, working in office and trying to survive in an economy APC has totally destroyed. If you want to mobilize them, you have to pay them to leave their sources of livelihood for you.

In the South, crowd in campaign rallies doesn't determine the actual number of votes.

Each time Obi and the clowns supporting him give high hope of winning the forthcoming election, I wonder where the hope comes from. Obi has been moving from one state to the other for campaign and everywhere he goes, the campaign ground is always empty, especially whenever he naively decides to use a stadium instead of a secondary school playing ground as he did in Ibadan, Imo, Nasarawa, etc.

I heard some of his supporters were jubilating over the 5 musketeers' (Wike and others) plan to support Obi and I couldn't believe the dilution. Can Makinde win Oyo for Obi ? grin grin grin grin Obi can't even come 4th in Oyo state whether Makinde supports him or not.

owobokiri:
Straight to the point; No president who genuinely loves his country, will decide at the end of his tenure, to orchestrate a political environment in which his possible successor will emerge from two highly discredited individuals that have been proven to be totally corrupt and infirm to govern effectively.

The decision to make Bola Ahmed Tinubu the candidate of the ruling party, is by far the most anti Nigerian decision openly taken by a sitting Nigerian president post independence! This is a man whose drug dealing past is well documented. The Nigerian intelligence services must have vital intels on this, so the president is aware. A man who loots Lagos State on daily basis! Yet Buhari handed over the flags of the ruling party The APC to this man!

If Tinubu wins and runs Nigeria for another eight years with his highly corrupt gang of executive thieves, how could this unfortunate country survive? How would life be for ordinary Nigerians already pauperized by APCs bad governance? The country will essentially be the butt of international jokes! How can a patriotic president champion the campaign of a proven drug lord as his preferred successor while still making greater claims to greater patriotism?

In a country that can boast of some of the finest brains on earth, a socalled patriotic president went for a senile drug convict as his chosen successor! That is telling. That shows you that none of these characters running the country actually love the country. Nigeria is just their meal ticket and the Niger Delta oil is nothing but a civil war booty that keeps them entangled with a country they loath so much..

Let us not even get into his borrowing habits that has turned Nigerias total Oil earnings into the property of foreign estate as everything earned from Oil exports are used to service obnoxious loans borrowed by this queer regime to build up infastructures in his hometown in Niger Republic while Nigerians suffer.., his grand nepotism that has torn the country apart and has now led to the emergence of different militant groups, the monumental corruption in his administration and his tone-deaf approach to basic governance and foreign policy pursuits!

No one who loves his fatherland treats it with so much disdain and with so much hate and levity.. This president is pursuing an anti Nigeria agenda!

Buhari Actively Hates This Country
Why not wait till Feb 25 before you start crying? At least, enjoy the xmas and new year celebrations first before facing the reality of the election.

Kindly share this story:

2023: Tension In PDP As G5 Governors Hold London Meeting, Narrow Down Preferred Presidential Candidate To Two

The five aggrieved Governors within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) popularly known as the G5 are set to take a final decision on the presidential candidate to support for the 2023 elections.
To this end, the Governors are said to have taken their meeting to London, United Kingdom where they are expected to conclude on a preferred candidate before making their choice public in January 2023.

Naija News recalls the Governors; Nyesom Wike (Rivers State), Seyi Makinde (Oyo State), Samuel Ortom (Benue State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State) took a stand against supporting the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

They insisted on the resignation of the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu from office and his replacement with a southerner as the only condition to support Atiku’s 2023 bid.

However, despite several meetings and entreaties on how to resolve the disagreement, Ayu has refused to step down and the Governors have also not changed their position.

Information gathered by Naija News has it that as the Governors hold a strategic meeting in London, they might have totally ruled out any chances of supporting the PDP and Atiku.

A source added that the G5 Governors are set to choose between the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu, or the Labour Party (LP) flagbearer, Peter Obi.

While the Governors are said to be focused on supporting a southern candidate, they also want to choose a candidate that would defeat Atiku so they won’t become a subject of mockery after the 2023 polls.

The source said a final decision is set to be made at the London meeting as the G5 governors may kick off campaign on January 5.

As quoted by The Nation, the source said: “The London meeting is a wrap-up session on their preferred presidential candidate who will also be part of the campaign in their respective states.

“Before they left, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was already out of their equation. Both Atiku’s running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and Governor Emmanuel Udom did not succeed in prevailing on the G-5 to support the PDP candidate.

“They claimed that Okowa and Udom are parts of the problem in PDP because they refused to abide by the decision of the Southern governors on power shift to the South.

“They have drawn the battle lines with Atiku. They have foreclosed any reconciliation. They will now meet at the poll to settle political scores.

“The G-5 governors have to choose between Tinubu and Obi. They have to consider all options, including the consideration of who has the strength or figures to defeat Atiku in the presidential poll.

“It is no longer about sentiments, but facing the reality on whose figures can add up to win the poll for power shift to the South, which is their ultimate objective.”

Fear Of Supporting A Weak Candidate
In settling for their preferred presidential candidate, the G5 Governors are said to be wary of supporting a weak candidate who may lose the election.

They are reportedly monitoring political developments in the country and will try and choose the best candidate to go up against Atiku.

Another top source said: “The greatest fear of the G-5 governors is supporting a weak candidate who may lose the presidential election. Then, all their objective, plot and bragging will come to naught.

“Yet, they want to prove a point to PDP that they are a force to reckon with. If they fail to make an impact in 2023 poll, it will spell doom for their political career.

“As politicians, the G-5 governors have been closely monitoring the campaigns and political trends in the country. They will use available statistics at their disposal to determine whether or not to back Tinubu or Obi.”

Obasanjo Angle On Peter Obi
Further information has it that three of the G5 Governors (Wike, Ortom and Makinde) recently had a meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and he appealed to them to support Peter Obi.

Obasanjo was said to have hinged his choice on the argument that the Igbos should be given a chance to produce the next President of Nigeria.

A close aide of one of the governors was quoted to have said: “Obasanjo made the plea during a private session with Wike, Ortom and Makinde.

“Some of the governors are not for Obi, but they are already aiding him with logistics, including free use of stadia for campaign.

Five Likely Outcomes Of The London Meeting
A third source, who has been privy to the plans of the Governors listed some possible outcomes of the G5 strategic meeting in London as follows:

*To endorse Tinubu or Obi and damn the consequences

* A flat option: To support Tinubu or Obi with resources and the right environment to woo voters in the five states

*Leave every governor to take any decision based on political exigency in each state or zone

* Refuse to campaign for Atiku and allow the electorate in each state to decide who to vote for.

*Keep their game plan to themselves by waiting till the last minutes before making a pronouncement on their preferred candidate.
Choosing a candidate that can defeat Atiku means choosing Tinubu... except they are politically naive.

Of all the presidential candidates, the Christmas message from Tinubu stands out and further gives hope that a bridge builder is taking over Aso rock come 2023. In the Christmas message, he extended a hand of fellowship to even his opponents in the race, admonishing that the rigorous task of nation-building must not be sacrificed on the altar of bitter politicking.

National and States Assembly candidates under the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, have endorsed the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the presidency in 2023.

The candidates have also concluded plans to organise a public rally to advocate for Bola Tinubu in Osogbo, the state capital apart from the house-to-house campaign programme which the team has started.

A statement issued on behalf of the team by Afolabi Muideen disclosed that they have since realized that the party’s present structure in Osun state lacks the vision of a New Nigeria aspired by citizens.
