martha: Hehehe... Twerk!

Can you Twerk?

The sudden death of young actor Paul Walker, the birth of the Royal baby and the craze for 'twerking' have all made it into the top Google search terms of 2013

Each December Google releases its "Zeitgeist" lists which show the top trending searches in the UK over the previous year. This year Paul Walker was the highest trending search after people turned to Google for more information about the American actor, who starred in The Fast and the Furious, following his death in a car crash on November 30.

Second in the list was “iPhone 5S” after the launch of Apple’s new handset which featured fingerprint security and “Royal baby” because of the buzz surrounding the birth of the future king.

And in a sign of our tough economic times, the government’s Universal Jobmatch website is eighth on the list of trending terms. The second most searched for term beginning with “how to…” was also “how to write a CV”.

"What is twerking?" topped the list of "What is…?" questions. "YOLO", the slang acronym meaning ‘you only live once’, appears third on the list.

In the world of sport, the Grand National topped the list of events, with Wimbledon in second place – despite this year’s historic win in the men’s final by Andy Murray. Tom Daley made a late appearance in the list of top-trending people following his YouTube announcement of a same-sex relationship.

Claudine Beaumont of Google UK said: “Our annual Zeitgeist survey provides a fascinating snapshot of our interests and obsessions for the year. Celebrities always get a lot of interest and the passing of well-known figures makes people want to learn more about them. Despite that, some of the more traditional aspects of British life, from the Grand National to the Royal birth, have generated many Google searches and will be remembered as events that have characterised the year.”

Are you using a firewall application?

I opened a thread for that, so it'll be useful for others too. Check it out here: https://www.nairaland.com/1558489/how-share-androids-internet-connection

There is a fair usage policy of 150MB. Once you use it up, your network speed will be very slow.

Bluetooth (Windows 7 & 8 only)

This is probably the simplest method.
If you are using a Windows 7 or 8 PC, just follow these simple steps:

1. Switch on your PC's Bluetooth, and your phone's Bluetooth.

2. On your PC, right click on the Bluetooth Icon and click on "Add a device" from the list of options, then pair your phone to your PC.

3. After pairing, Right click on your Device and connect through "Access point". A prompt will come up on your Android to either Allow or Deny. Allow and you're good to go.

4. For easy access, right click on your device and "Create Shortcut". A shortcut will be created on your desktop, then you can connect from there by right clicking your phone icon.

Note: You can connect your PC to java, symbian and other phones using this method.

WiFi Hotspot
Also very easy.

1. On your Android Phone, go to "Tethering and Portable hotspot". Switch on your hotspot.

2. Enter the WiFi hotspot menu and click on "Set up WiFi Hotspot" (1st time use). You can then change your Network ID and assign a password (not necessary but very important).

3. Switch on your PC's WiFi and connect to your phone... That's all

USB tethering
Here, you need a third party application such as PdaNet to create a connection btw your phone and PC. The application must be downloaded to both the Phone and PC.
*PdaNet
Download PdaNet for PC, install, you'll be asked to connect your phone during installation. This will enable it to install the application on your phone too. Complete the installation and connect your phone to your PC via USB.

Note: USB Debbuging must be enabled on your Android device when using PdaNet.

michaelo2: pls my play store is saying authentication required pls wat can I do.

Are you sure your Google Account Manager is working well?

Anyway, to solve your issue, go to setting > Accounts and remove your Google Account. Then open your play store, it'll ask you to sign in... Problem solved!

btenkobo: plz sum1 shuld help me oo b4 my playstore dey force close bt nw i cnt find my play store after i uninstall the update sum1 help

You've uninstalled the Playstore na.

If you have Root Explorer or ES explore, go to the root of your phone, then enter >system folder, then select >app folder. Find Phonesky.apk, and install it, that's the Play store that came with your phone.... Daz all!

garnetty: ...just as your automobile airbags gets activated before actual accident. *SMH*

Different scenarios.... Airbag does not prevent damage to your car, it only tries to save d occupants of the car. In this case, it's main function is to prevent damage to your phone.... Think well bro...

jalay: .. Thank u sir., but can i buy equivelent of the SD Card again? i.e 8gb . Wot happened coz it can't recognize even the 2gb SD Card i inserted in it, does that mean it is only equivelent of the 8gb SD Card wil be gud for it? Well my default root folder are intact.

Try this: insert your memory card, go to settings>Storage and mount SDcard.

Our leaders are not any better than armed robbers. Today, a vast majority of our leaders steal with pen (pen robbery, pen looting). Pen is truly mightier than sword gun.

.....enlightening post @op. Nice one.

Quatermaine: Tecno P5 and M3. Which do u prefer?

M3 all the way.

garnetty: Just like the automobile technology, the airbag in the casing only gets activated or inflated upon impact with a hard surface or contact. How does your vehicle recognize that an accident is about to happen and for the airbag to go off?. It is only upon impact. Simple as ABC.

If it'll be activated on impact, then it's a fail. It has to be activated before the impact.
