Whatsapp is quite a heavy app to us ...not even as fast as bbm ...no urgency like the "PING" feature on bbm...bbm is lighter...with a friendlier user interface...it's got class...With privacy and security. Both apps could come in handy though...especially when one would like to chat with peeps who arent on bbm, mostly the java,symbian or windows phones users...but c'mon, u cant deny the fact that bbm gives chatting a nice,safe and convenient feel...with class..

You've got valid points, but the bolded is not true.

Whatsapp is lighter and faster.

Even under a slow network condition, Whatsapp will still send and receive msgs. BBM will only send and receive when the network is fast enough. BBM doesn't even open sometimes unless network is good. More annoying, BBM doesn't deliver all messages you send under slow network.
So in case of urgency, I give it to Whatsapp.

Force close it, make sure you're on H/H+, then try again. Take note that you have to crop the pix too.
