it's all about having control of the area, same with gangs here and in the US, when they are in group it's easier to intimidate, extort,steal, sell drugs and incite fear into the people residing in that area so when the rival gangs sees that there is a lot of money to be made in a certain area they began to fight and murder each other to see which gang is dangerous enough to take control of the area.
