To many of you making reference to girls who extort money from guys and dress scantily, I agree that people should take the necessary precautions that they can to protect themselves. Like not standing in front of a busy road to avoid getting crushed by an oncoming trailer. But the incidence of rape is more than that. A man who wants to rape a woman will do so, whether or not she's decently dressed or has taken money from him. No matter what the scenario may have been, no woman or person deserves to be raped. There's no justification at all. Even if that person stole all the valuables in your home or wore pants and bras alone in front of you, he/she doesn't deserve to be raped. Many of you wouldn't think about touching your sisters if she dressed provocatively, why would it be any different with the young boy/ girl out there. Rape is like murder, it is born from sheer evil and lust. Give yourselves time to really reflect on the matter itself, like think really deep. This isn't just about "Naija women this, Naija women that." This is fighting to ensure a safer world for our daughters and sons. May God grant us the heart of love, because only with the presence of love and conscience, including self control, can we be able to fight this battle.
