Bros, I am a lecturer too. But I don't support all these ASUU strikes. ASUU is just a bunch of inept, corrupt and greedy idiots

Most of the university unions are terribly fraudulent and are just fighting for their pockets, check well there is also crass tribalism.

Happy to see that Nigerians are seeing beyond the half truth of ASUU

We've always been hearing a side of the story about this IPPIS-ASUU issue, at least those that enrolled for the program are not happy with their pay abi, let them come out with proof that they government doesn't mean well with the program. At least we saw proof of SARS brutality and everyone joined the protest , let's see proof of their small salaries maybe students and the general public won't support the struggle

All is well, apart from minimum wage arrears and earned allowance we have no problem with IPPIS.

I know that the Profs, Provosts, Dean and HODs who are ASUU members are part of the university senate/management but they cannot employ without the principal officers such as the VC, Registrar, Bursar etc. Their work is to manage academic activities in the institutions. But the issue of corruption through ghost workers, inflated contract budgets are perpetrated by VCs and Bursars.

VCs only, if Bursar wants to employ and VC refuses it cannot go through.

People are here castigating ASUU without knowing what actually they are agitating for... OK let's do it this way, FG increased minimum wage to 30k and introduced IPPIS system.. Initially a Senior staff on Contediss 14 earns up to 300k after tax before IPPIS and minimum wage now earns less than 200k after the minimum wage increment under IPPIS.. Country people there is no smoke without fire. Ministry of Labour has a question to answer

Correct application of Tax deductions, pension deductions and NHF deductions, removal of some unapproved allowances, IPPIS is doing very well.

Please expose them and do not forget to beam your searchlight on past vice chancellors.

It is in this recession economy FG is budgeting billions to maintain ASO rock, and build railway from Nigeria to Niger republic, millions to campaign against hate speech and other frivolities. I think we have to fight for ourselves by ourselves because we don't know who ASUU is fighting for again.

It doesn't make sense throwing money at everything that appears as a problem/challenge coz we are yet to justify the budgets from the past.

If financial auditors were to be called in, many of these lecturers&profs will cry.

Let the financial auditors, ICPC, OAGF and EFCC visit the universities; in fact visitation panels should be set up. What is stopping the government?

Some local governments in Rivers State it appears have been disowned, no development at all, in such cases what do you expect the politicians to tell the people? Etche, Omuma, Oyigbo plus some others are really suffering despite abundance of operating oil wells.
