If AMAECHI and WIKE should present themselves to the RIVERS people 100 times, AMAECHI will be chosen 100 times. AMAECHI is indeed a man of the people. |
Ekob: What is this one saying..do u mean to tell me the four months arrears they are fighting for now and they continuing insistence to go on wit the strike untill it is paid to them is a also a fighting for us?..huh?give me a break.stop been sentimental my frndDid you read the letter from ASUU to GEJ? |
Have any of you read the letter to FG by ASUU? There is no talk of salary there, you students better shine eye o, FG is taking you guys for a bad ride. |
Interesting |
Samgreguc: ASUU Must Obey! I will be saddened if the gov't pay them those salary. If the govt does not pay them, you my fellow nairalander will end up paying the bad ones and double at that. |
nbright: And it's a federal school...Your FG has refused to fund education so now you guys are going to start funding it partially, this is what ASUU is fighting against but you guys do not understand. 3 weeks now no light in UNIPORT, mgbuoba has light. How can you learn or be taught in this heat? How can the freshers do their medical exam when there is no light or be cleared online by the faculties. You guys better get ready to be paying endlessly and pls carry a bottle of water wherever you go. |
Samgreguc: what do you think will be the difference? The process where you buy a handout or textbook which you already have on a compulsory note is what? Force or not? Besides ASUU is no longer democratic.Oh yes, its very bad to be compelled to buy a textbook which is a glorified handout when you can borrow it from a student who passed the course last year. Unions be it student rep, SSANU or ASUU have been hijacked by corrupt elements because the good ones fail to engage the system, its a national cancer that needs eradication. |
You guys should take a chill pill; the proposed action by the FG is not in the best interest of students. Anyway thank God for another day, a special day in which things will be revealed. Thank God for healing for me from malaria, it is well. |
ludot: Even before there was light in the bible, the Spirit of God was hovering. It was after that he said, "let there be light"As they are hovering, let them not come and give us nepa bill for being in darkness. |
screenagerjoe: Dude, i didnt call his name with disrespect, abi did i yap him??. I simply asked a rhetoric question. BTW hw do u accord respect to a persn on an online forum like NL??prof ajienka our vc is held in high esteem here so in constructing your rhetorical question you may wish to take note. |
nbright: Why would ASUU want to eat what they didn't sow?... They didn't work for four months yet they expect FG to pay them their salary.... After they will still be selling handouts, collect sorting, abuse our young and innocent female students sexually, fail some student's who try to stand up to their evil ways... Most lecturer are just wicked... They want FG to accept their demands yet they will still keep doing and teaching in the old ways...well that is a question for ASUU members to answer, the approach FG is taking appears to be faulty. Lets assume for a minute that the lecturers are forced to teach you the student, what possible thing will you be able to learn in such environment? |
complete1: It has just come to our notice dat there will b a meeting between both FG and ASUU either 2moro or monday.keep us posted |
oluafolabi: EBSU ASUU Chairman said the same thing, EBSU has resumed academic activities. IBBU ASUU chairman said the same thing, IBBU has resumed academic activities. AAUA ASUU chairman is still saying the same thing , now the school has started recruiting new lecturers.Guy, stop telling lies, no lecture has held in the above mentioned state universities. |
screenagerjoe: All dis freshers sef, u guys shld be looking at june 2014 b4 u cn start boarding bus to abuja campus. I agree with otox, ds fashion cannot solve d strike. Abi who wan teach una, na ajineka??Please call that name with respect; the vice chancellors thus far have conducted themselves in a neutral and professional manner. It is the political class that is messing up the situation. |
Well written. |
david290: If ASUU are really innocent as claimed by some nairalanders, why can't dey just pursue d implementation of d newly agreed deal, why new demands,is strike d only way 2 get your voices across, why do we have courts? D strike is just like someone owe me and because he delays or refuse 2 pay me i now decide 2 go on strike.does it really make any sense, why do we've magistrate, appeal, high and supreme court?thanks for the joke but it was not funny. |
oyb: Jona must think all lecturers are like him; clueless, useless and easily replaced. He was never a University lecturer. |
Mamuzo ADUMS: This ASUU VS FG movie is the greatestits a grammy award winner |
I Love ASUUs response; FG should have made it 24 hours ultimatum or better still proscribe ASUU. Petrol has just been added to smouldering firewood but GEJ can calm the situation. |
You guys are in for a shocker; FG cannot solve this matter in this fashion. |
Hopez456: Cant wait to see newspapers headlines tomorrow. Wana hear ASUU position.ASUU position will be known from next week; when their branches meet. WIKE and OKOKO are unduly heating up the polity. Things are not looking too good; it is like the fighting of 2 mad men. |
Tough talk, lets see how it goes. |
Ayima: Fg order will work because ASUU members are divided.I just called some of my close lecturers in my department to form greetings but later i asked them what is happening with the fg,out of 5 i called 4 said they are ready to resume because they are tired of the thing but one said he don't know what to do yet.story story, are the 4 ready to work and forego the 5 months salary? |
Tintinix: So sorry for ur misfortune in Kano. I joined in the celebration of that thread on 24/7 power in PH, only for us to be hit with almost a week of no power, I searched for possible explanations and was relieved when I read that it was due to vandalism of a major pipeline delievering gas and repairs were expected to be concluded by the 26th of Nov, we however had about 3days of rationing after the major blackout and now ME_ABOKI honestly we are back to normal (over 20 hours of power per day) this is 3days counting.there has been no light at uniport for the past 3 weeks and still counting, uniport, alakahia, choba, aluu, etc we are waiting for them to bring bill then they will tell us what we are paying for. |
Those refineries should be sold, we are tired of endless turn around maintenance scams. They produce nothing, the crude allocated to them end up being diverted and stolen by their top managenent. What work are the workers talking of? |
They wang to reduce tarrif on a good that we produce and flood the market with foreign rice yet they want to increase tarrif on cars that we do not produce. Goodluck is surrounded by very bad economic advisers. |
Telecoms & power are 2 different industries so let us not compare them. If in 6 months time things do not stabilize then we can begin to think of a post privatization exercise. |
I drove past them in GRA, as usual, they were a rented crowd wearing GDI shirts and some Jonathan shirts. |
Every evil tongue that rises in judgment, we condemn in the mighty name of Jesus. Democracy has come to stay, power to the people. |
Amaechi has taken the bull by the horns, Imo state now has a cool ally and neighbor. Broom will now sell more than umbrella, at least broom is made 100% wholly in Nigeria. |
bennygreat1: Hmmm...... I see more unis pulling out of this current ASUU strike.... And this lead to more crack in ASUU union... Let's see what's next#You guys should stop this delusions of grandeur, the only way unis will pull out is when FG does the needful and pay the backlog of salaries owed. Unis are only pulling away on the pages of newspapers. |
Looks like this week is rolling by; chai. |
