Thank you. I don't actually have experience in any of them. I just wanted something that will give me a good chance and career wise, I'm ready to stick with whatever works and build something from it. I know it's not an immediate advancement but a journey and I'm ready to put in work.
Enculer2:

I do not know so much about Business Analysis Certification. The advise I can give is that do not let the Certification be the driver. You have to have a clear 5 year plan regarding your career and see of PMP or Business Analysis will be useful during that time.

I know for a certainty that PMP is well considered in Canada. It is expensive but it teaches you plenty of useful concepts. You would of course be expected to have had some background and be ready to apply it at work.

I was preparing for PMP myself and I have some materials I can share if you are interested.

All the best whatever you decide.

Salaam.

Hello everyone. Please I need advice. By God's grace, I will be landing in Canada by January with PR under the new Healthcare category but I also want to get some other certifications that will help me in job search. I want to be Agile/Scrum master certified but I'm confused between PMP (Project Management) certification or Business Analysis certification, which one will help me in securing employment in Canada's current job market

have a similar issue. please help!

So10:
Please I'm confused. I'm supposed to get a gift deed from my mum for one of her properties but she gave the buyer my account details and he has sent it to my account direct but he put her name in description.
Can I go ahead with the court affidavit for sell of property/gift deed that she signed or do I send to her and make her send back to me?

Will the V.O check the senders account?

I would advise you do an additional certificate like ACCA, CIIN, BCS. You will finish it before the year ends and if you get your certificate plus max out IELTS, your score will be 474 which is a good score.
Itzlinda:

Even if I liquidate everything, I won't be able to raise 10 million naira now.
I just clicked 28 this month, considering I have just 2 years now to reach 30, what's the best way you think I can increase my score to 470 within a year or so.
Thanks

pls I have a question concerning WES, I'm processing two transcripts, my bachelors and an additional certificate. Will I receive the reports individually or together. I sent one first and my profile has gone from "evaluating your documents" after they received that to "status on hold" while they are expecting the other
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by oty1993: 9:09am On Feb 01, 2021
Oga use the crs calculator and calculate for them using one or the other as primary applicant. It will answer your question on who is the better choice
DRiches:

I learnt that the hubby can claim Masters/professional with DVM degree, also the year of working experience is about 4years which is also more than the wife experience. Do you think the age advantage of the wife can give more point or enough to make her the primary applicant ?

Thanks

Not really, maxing out IELTS and French is your best option unless you want to try PNP. Age is not on your side
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by oty1993: 2:15pm On Jan 28, 2021
You wrote that you have 11 months plus 1 year 5 months which is 28 months, 3 years is 36 months. Calculate it well
Mightythoughts:

Thanks so much for the assistance.
8 more months or 13 more months?(was employed on February last year)
I thought of ACCA and BCS but I felt nacetem will be safer and I have about that time(10-11months for nacetem)to complete my work experience(13 months).

I am also working on ECA for my B.eng and if I want to write IELTS after Easter. If I max IELTS I will enter the pool while I wait to round up the diploma and upgrade.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by oty1993: 1:31pm On Jan 28, 2021
You basically just need eight months more work experience and since you're already thinking of NACETEM for additional certificate (although i would have advised ACCA or BCS since they are quicker) . Why not plan to get into the pool latest by October
Mightythoughts:

The 1.5 years experience was acquired during my nysc.was working with the company before nysc so I had to serve there.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by oty1993: 12:58pm On Jan 28, 2021
If you max out your ielts, you can be in the pool immediately. how about your nysc to add and make your work experience up to three years. If you add nysc and maxed out ielts, your crs will be 474
Mightythoughts:
Goodday everyone.
I made up my mind to move to Canada and my colleague who left last year recommended I visit this forum to get good information.i have been learning and I have also gone through IRCC website for express entry info but I need some clarification.
When I used the CRS tool to evaluate my score I got between 434 to 440 with the details
Age: 28 (February born)

Current ocupatiion: civil engineer.(NOC B), 11 months experience.

Previous occupation: site supervisor.(NOC B), 1 year 5 months experience).

Marital status: single.

Educational qualification: 2 or more(I have BSC and I just registered with nacetem for the diploma)

IELTS:8,7,7,7 (S,L,R,W).(assumed,as I have been practicing and will write soon)

I used 2 years experience(11 months + 1.5 years) but when I selected 3 years the CRS score got to 460+. I Intended entering the pool this year but since my CRS score is low I decided to wait till February next year so that my current experience will be 3 years+(2 + 1.5).

When checked my eligibility on IRCC site, I selected 2 years for the first experience and where they asked if I have experience in NOCs starting with 72-(construction workers with at least 2 years experience)I selected less than 2 years(i.e 1.5 years for the site supervisor experience).
It also said I am still eligible when I selected only the first experience (2 years, which is my current job)

My question is, since I will be using Nocs for civil engineers and Nocs for construction site supervisors,Will my 3 years experience be affected because the NOC 72...(construction site supervisor) I will be using is not up to 2 years? (I.e will they take only my current experience which will be 2 years by February next year and reject my previous experience which is 1.5years as it doesn't meet up with the required year by IRCC).

I appreciate you all for the efforts.

French is money ohh, I'm on 471 but I'm thinking about it
Renialistic:
I have a masters.

I got LRWS 8.5,9,9,7. The best a rewrite can give me is additional 3 points to make 470. That’s a 7.5 in writing. I requested an EOR in writing but my score remained unchanged.

However, I’ve thought of it this way - if I rewrite and get 470, and no FSW draw is done until after my birthday in May, the rewrite then becomes of no use as I’ll fall to about 465 in which case, I’ll then have to learn French. That’ll move my hope to get ITA from say June/July to perhaps December. So, why don’t I just take that step now?

Omo!! with the way they has only been pnp and cec draw this year, will express entry cutoff increase or is 468 still safe What do you guys estimate
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by oty1993: 4:03pm On Jan 22, 2021
Thanks, I just found out that a masters is required to be a certified psychologist or mental health counselor. I am worried about the cost.
NaijaCanadian28:

Yes. Usually, you get a mixture of loan and grants. There’s an OSAP estimator online that can give you an estimate of the money you will get when you enter your information, it may not be accurate though. The purpose is to to give you an idea. This is for Ontario, I don’t about other provinces- but I know some provinces (like SK) require you to be a resident for at least a year before you get this benefit.

Tocde:
Please for those processing CIIN certificates, please come with the applicable documents to you. Make sure you pay current membership 2021 N3,0000.

So in all you pay N43,000 (20k certificate 20k transcript 3k for 2021 subscription) hope this helps.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by oty1993: 11:24pm On Jan 14, 2021
Wow. That is quite helpful especially for those of us not based in Lagos, I'm paying for the certificate and transcript next week. So hopefully, I can process everything quickly
ankaravillageng:

Process for CIIN? If yes certificate is ready. We are to pay 20k to the institution first bank account send a mail to them with receipt of payment or you can pay at their office and get the certificate immediately.
With a copy of the certificate and some other documents you then request for transcript for another 20k, transcript would be given to you by hand in a sealed envelope which you would send to WES yourself. This is where the group comes in, we plan on sending in groups of 5 to cut down the cost of courier.

We have confirmed that this can be done so that's about all the information I have.
I forgot to include that in your mail to request for your transcript you'll have to include the notification of result on your student portal.

Hello good day, please how can I send a CIIN (Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria) transcript and certificate to WES for evaluation. Thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by oty1993: 12:09pm On Jan 05, 2021
Thanks a lot, I'll wait
DFreeze:

Inasmuch as one can't tell what the cut-off mark will be in say 2 months (if it's going to take that period of time for you to evaluate your certificates), 471 is a pretty decent score. You don't need to max your IELTS to get ITA. What matters is if the ranking score is below your score.

By the way, as it stands now, cut-off mark is decreasing gradually. I'd rather advise you not to apply for remark but wait, unless you don't have any need for that money.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by oty1993: 12:06pm On Jan 05, 2021
I'm 27, so there's still age on my side. Thanks a lot
ladykilllar:

The scores are actually unpredictable but based on the stratification of scores in the pool, 471 is a pretty decent score. If age is still on your side and 27k might be tough to lose you can decide not to remark.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by oty1993: 10:51pm On Jan 04, 2021
i need advice, currently on 471 but still evaluating my certificates and may hopefully get into the pool next month. Any prediction on crs cutoff by then?
Should i still remark, score may increase to 474 or I may lose 27k for nothing in this hard period. thanks
