TabletMan: You are living up to your moniker.
Please I will like to know the program that will increase my chances of getting admitted into any Finland school. Is it Bsc or should I follow the Msc route? If it's a Bsc, which program has a high chance of admission and getting a job after school? Just advise me as if I'm your younger brother.
Thanks . It depends on your smartness. Any program can get you into a Finnish school. It's an equal opportunity system. For the Msc, your letter of motivation and research proposal are key. Work on it very well. Then there's the interview to face if your letter of motivation and research proposal get you across the first check. For BSC, you will write an entry exam and after a video chat. Just practice very well because that exam tries to embarrass people. The good thing is that you can apply for 6 courses in the application round and you can apply for both Msc and BSC courses. Generally IT has been the go to but with layoffs these days, you can never tell. They seem to be opening up nursing, social works and the likes to foreign students. Before, you had to study them in Finnish but now you have English taught programs. You alone can decide what you can cope with so I'll advise you to use these 7 months before the application portal opens, to browse through the available courses and prepare what you'll need to make yourself stand out. The competition is getting tighter |

Thank you Not at all. What made you think that? Pay your 1st session school fees, apply for residence permit. What you need in your account is your upkeep for 1 year and if you succeed, they'll give you residence permit that'll carry you for your 2 years masters or 4 years BSC as the case maybe. |

yusfatedeeprof: Imagine that the Supreme Court detailed the merits of the case while our ignorant media reported that the case was solely rejected based on locus standi. This needs to make front page.
Summary of the Supreme Court's remarks:
- That Shettima did, in fact, withdraw his nomination for the Senate on July 6 2022 and new primaries were held on July 10 2022. Since there was no longer a nomination as of July 6th, how is it possible that there was a double nomination on July 14th when Tinubu chose him to be vice president?
- Shettima wasn't nominated for vice president because there was no primary election; instead, he was picked for the position.
- Social media shouldn't be used to intimidate or bully the Supreme Court, and they should abhor it, labeling it repugnant and unethical.
- Shettima's case is completely different from Nwosu v. APC.
- That Atiku himself benefited from this position because, at the time Obasanjo chose him as vice president, he was also a candidate for gubernatorial election of Adamawa state. This Shettima's "double nomination" hoax is one of the biggest gaslighting ideas to come out post 2023 election. The whole nation was just thrown into a frenzy because of deliberate obfuscation by lawyers and social media jobmen/jobwomen and even those who should know joined in to cash in as noted by Justice Okoro. From the judgements of the supreme court justices up there, it's now very obvious that it was a non issue ab initio. I think mods have a duty to spread this education to douse the lies and ignorance still being spread in social media circles Nipfmod Myndd44 Lalasticlala |

“Multiple nominations with the electoral act does not occur simply because he accepted a second nomination, the fact that the acceptance was immediately relinquished so as to pave way for another person to replace him as senatorial candidate cannot be overlooked or disregarded.
“We have to be very careful the way we read provisions of facts particularly when they are public interest issues and for presidential requirements where it is broad knowledge where it is very clear that the purpose of the statutory provision is to avoid a situation where the person holds two nominations to have an election as a candidate either in two constituencies or political parties.
“The purpose of that provision is to avoid the situation but where a person has clearly said ‘no I don’t want’, and relinquishes one, I do not think it will be acting in good faith to jump on him and infer something else.
Case closed. I've been wondering why nobody thought along this lines since this argument started. The guy didn't go into the election standing in 2 constituencies. He relinquished one and INEC only published his name in the VP slot so why all the cacophony of conspiracies?
I'm not surprised the judges choose this common sense path.

onuman: In other words, next election, if there will ever be; a party can nominate any candidate who can win elections for it as presidential candidate, governorship candidate, senatorial candidate, HoR candidate, State Assembly election candidate. The candidate wins all the posts for the political party.
If anyone who is not from the party complains, the complainant is an interloper, busybody, and stranger to the party therefore has no right to complaint even though he has a lot to lose from the action of multiple candidacy for an aspirant. Nigeria's going to the drains. You yourself know deep down that what you wrote makes no sense. Did Shettima's name appear on the ballot anywhere other than as VP candidate? Did INEC publish his name in the final list of Senate candidates released in August 2022? |

homotayo11: Quick question: Will I be required to pay full tuition before I leave Nigeria? Or a certain percent, Also is it possible to study and be able to pay tuition of 10k yearly. I doubt that any school will confirm your study place without you paying the full tuition. Check for more info on studyinfo dot fi If you're single, you might be able to hustle €10k fees per year but you'll stress yourself. Generally though, if you're diligent with your studies and are able to complete up to 60 credit units every session, practically all their schools will give you between 40% and 70% discount on fees for the following session so there's that. |

Focus99: Do they accept 3rd class for a master program?
I have no idea but someone I know with a 3rd started with BSC all over again
How much is application fee?
no application fee
Kindly give me a range of their tuition like from the minimum to maximum
You'll get better information on this by visiting their site studyinfo dot fi
Do one need to pay tuition deposit or one must pay first year tuition in full?
Must be paid in full
How much is living expenses? And I guess this has to be in an application account plus the balance of the tuition fee yea?
Are you going alone or with family? That'll be the main determining factor. As a single guy/babe, you shouldn't need more than 500euro/month except you're the flamboyant type. For a family of 5, 1500euro/month should be more than okay. However, you'll need to show equivalent of 2,760*12 = €33,120 for a full year's upkeep funds.
Yes this equivalent for 12 months has to be in your account.
Tuition is paid in full before you can get resident permit
How many months bank statement do one need to show for RP application?
They stipulate 6 months but from experience, there's no hard and fast rule. Even a month might be okay if you can prove the source of the funds is strong and comfortable enough to continue sponsoring you well into the future.
Do I need to show employment letter/reference letter as proof of employment for RP application?
If your sponsor is your job, you need to show employment letter, 6 months pay slip, tax clearance certificate, statement of account showing salary payment. Adding your pension account statement and letter from PFA goes a long way to solidify your application
Thanks for your reply
You're welcome |

Do I still need IELTS since I have my English proficiency letter ? How much will be enough for all the expenses? Like they informed you above, you don't need IELTS or any letter since you're applying for BSC. For age, I know a 50year old man doing BSC in Finland. He's in his final year now. If you're single, you don't need legalization so your expenses will be limited to permit application which is around 350 Euro (about N175k) plus service charge of N37,500 and postage fee of 10.5 Euro I think Your school fees will depend on the school you're going to and airfare of course depends on the airline that'll fly you there when you succeed |

Wike made a mockery of this election but like I told a friend on Saturday, this is exactly how elections have been operated in Rivers state since 2003 at least!
It's even BVAS that curtailed him a bit now otherwise, you would have seen like 1.8m for his candidate. PDP has always always won Rivers elections this way. It's unfortunate that Wike didn't allow the voices of Rivers people to be heard in 2015 and 2023. 2019 was a self inflicted injury by Amaechi and Abe. |

The lesson is always pray very very hard never never to have someone like Buhari as an ally or as a boss. The guy can never defend anybody. He will deny you faster than Peter denied Jesus Christ.
I used to think the sharpest brains in banking were at Zenith bank. Emefiele is challenging that view. How could he hitch his whole career, reputation and life after banking to a buhari that hasn't pretended he cares for nothing and no one but himself? A former Zenith bank MD to be so used and dumped? The funny part is that the buhari sef might not really want the policy but there's always a cabal that hijacks his powers and he just sits in silence while they destroy everything.
Now Emefiele has joined the list that includes Amaechi, Onu, Osinbajo etc of people who believed buhari had their backs but found out tragically that he didn't. |

mastermaestro: Oga shut up! It was only Tinubu that spoke against this disastrous policy from its birth. You selfish lots thought it would favour your political choice. In fact, I stopped supporting Obi from the very point he supported this stupid, ill-thought policy.
Thankfully Obi lost, which was something I later wished for. I detest selfish people. He thought the policy would favour him. How e come be now? Who supports such a haphazard monetary policy on the eve of general elections? What concerns CBN with vote buying? Are we going to have to redesign the Naira before every general election just because we want to curb vote buying?
Most of you do not think deeply. Look at the economic chaos and suffering this stupid policy has plunged this nation into. Some businesses were beginning to recover from Covid triggered economic crisis, then this happens. Bunch of selfish people who see everything as politics not knowing that many people have mouths to feed and businesses to run.
Most of you who come here to comment have proven to be poor mentally. All of you who supported this nonsense from the start are dumb now. You all thought it would favour you. I hope you lots are enjoying, while Tinubu is suffering. Honestly the bold is what should have made any sensible person to think twice before supporting such a policy. No country on earth, even the industrialized ones declare their own legal tender illegal within 3 months of printing new ones yet Nigeria where over 60% are still unbanked wants to do the magic? |
