If you’re a lady and you want to know if your relationship will lead to marriage, look at the mother of your boyfriend. Most men will tell you that you fit into what they like: beautiful, intelligent, etc. but at the end of the day they end up with women that are like their mothers. So: If you are an extrovert and exposed, your relationship will have issues if his mother is an SU. If you are a career lady and his mother has never worked in her life, you will have issues. By the way, you should restrict some of your posts from some people. Even with my mother there are some of my posts that I don’t allow her see. Either because it may make her scared, confused, etc. As a man you should also be proactive. You know the personality of your mother, you should have changed your girlfriend’s WhatsApp settings to exclude your mother. I wonder how that never occurred to you. 2 Likes 1 Share |

DonPADRO: Did you say university sir? I am around a lot of professors and students and I can say that family background and exposure have better influence on IQ. Also, I know people who learnt how to cook from YouTube that can cook better than some that paid money to learn it. In this life, you almost cannot have it all. But it is better to be realistic with expectations. If you see the big phone this lovely girl is using. Just today I found out the phone was hanging and I had to help her delete all the extra unnecessary apps on it. We spent hours. It’s not everything money can do. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Be careful in this your bid to find a semi literate humble wife. That was what my cousin did. The girl mixed bleaching cream for their baby, gave him agbo to drink and he was admitted in the hospital. One day she force fed the boy in that local grandma style and he stopped breathing. The boy is in school now and I have never heard him speak one complete sentence in English language. She will give him akpu and soup without meat. No protein in food when I see her feeding him. But the girl is really humble and friendly. Good personality though I like to mind my business when coz is fighting with her because of all those things she does. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

When you guys were dating, what things did you have in common? This is mostly common with men that married from the village or for beauty alone. Your children are going to have a similar world view as her and there’s nothing you can do about it. This post has made it easy for the male commenters to insult the women and generalize. Of all the women in my house, not one watches all these films. It’s not all women who do. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Lannister360: Leave them with their scarcity mentality driven interview tips. If you try these abroad you may be rejected due to being antisocial. This is why many of us struggle to get jobs and stay back abroad. There’s something called “bad fit”. If you are seeking to work at retail banking or sales, you will be observed in an environment on how you interact with other candidates. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Low self esteem due to bad labor market policies. If you are traveling outside Nigeria, you will need to change your mindset against some of these attitudes to interviews. A job candidate who keeps to themselves and refuses to mix freely with the other candidates is seen as a red flag in developed labor markets. If they offer you tea over there, you’re supposed to say, yes please thank you. You are allowed to have a quiet chat with the other candidates. This is old school interview tactics driven by scarcity mentality. Gen Z are changing the way things are done. So you mean you would go to an interview with an eccentric tech cofounder and he will offer you tea and you will refuse it? It’s like you think that this one is a civil service or old Bank of the North interview. Abi you are confusing this with meeting your in laws. 6 Likes 1 Share |

One of my bro who is an Alfa was saying the opposite of this one day. I told him that is not how Allah works especially if the child doesn’t take the behavior of the parents. My brother also said that it is the behavior of the mother that the children carry and that any dysfunction in an adult can be traced back to his mother’s lineage. Anyway Allah knows best. 2 Likes |
Car Talk / Re: Emeka Akaezuwa Gets Presidential Applause For Inventing Electric Bikes In Uganda by OvaSabi1(f): 8:58am On Aug 15, 2022 |
We Nigerians like to use the word invention a little too loosely. I see it on the internet, newspapers and local tv stations often. Except he created a new mechanism for electric bikes to work better, it is most likely not an invention. Nigeria is so backwards when it comes to technology, it is sad. I wonder where we got it wrong. This has nothing to do with politicians or colonialism. Indians and the Chinese who had no connections to the outside world were making advances in STEM in the early 20th century. 1 Like |

rajiedreez: Let me tell you why this is happening. It’s common sense. Not everyone really wants to go to school. Some people are going to university just because their parents want them to do so or because they’re seeing people going to school. A student is only as bright as the foundation he received and orientation from home. It’s like expecting your nursery school teacher to teach your child how to stop bed wetting. It is clear to those of us in academia those students who are really interested in this boring book stuff. They go at great lengths to understand what we teach even outside of materials we give them. 1 Like |

You don’t know anything. As in, shi shi. I am talking as a lecturer in a Nigerian university. You can find another reason but this would not fly. I studied in the UK too. So that Harvard nonsense is funny. Let me tell you something. Since I started teaching, I have never failed a carryover student. 35% of my colleagues do this. For all 100 level and 200 level exams, I have never added anything less than 7 marks as bonus to their exam score. 85% of my colleagues do this. Sometimes I add 15 marks across. Even we sef, we hate those among us who derive pleasure from failing students. We dey call them principality and powers. What is more, when failure rate is too high in your course, we would have a meeting on ;Dit at the departmental level. Then we will take it to the faculty level. In some occasions exam officers will reject results until you go and add 10 marks bonus for everyone. Again if you prove stubborn you will be invited to the senate committee to explain yourself and they can even request to see the raw scores and scripts. When we notice that a colleague likes failing students we will find a way to ostracize him/her. We will not be involving them in projects and events because these people are also mean to us their colleagues. We will act friendly in front of the students but in closed doors especially during meetings we’re giving them the side eye. However what I will admit that lecturers do is that they don’t like it when students pass too much. For example, when the number of first class students are too many. Why? Remember I said that from 100 level we are used to adding bonus marks across? That means there are very many straight A students that are actually supposed to be straight B students. We compute with excel spreadsheet. Put +10 on a cell and copy down for everybody. Someone with 65 will jump into 75. From 300 level we deliberately start setting difficult questions so that those ones who jumped into many A’s can move into a more realistic grade. I am not saying it is wrong or right but I want you to know how things are done? With regards to that Harvard university thing, listen to me you this 70 years old man, that is just a figment of your imagination after pumping it with Oshogbo weed. 1 Like 1 Share |

He has seen that the business is lucrative and he believes that it will grow better if he is the person who makes the rules. This can go either of 2 ways. Well or terrible. Tell him that if he wants that to happen, you will want to be paid a certain amount of salary or share of profit every month. Then, he will have his account. You will have your own account too. Then, you guys can now have a joint account. Remember that you may need the services of a lawyer to decide things like if you need to file new agreements to change the form of the business. It will be changed from a sole proprietorship to a partnership business. Ensure that your name appears on anything that is formed and filed. |
