it did not reflect in your title. Moreover, no one ranks such by geopolitical zones when they are not hiding something.
I agree with you but the did has been done.

Visit Abeokuta, Calabar and Uyo. Lovely places
But the abeokuta I travel to the last time, I wasn't too impress with the level of development. Calabar is living in past glory. Uyo is ok.

North Central.
Lafia is terrible for a capital city.
Minna is not that good too.
Forget lokoja the aura and atmosphere alone oozes of nonsense.

North west
Gusau the name suggest its gutter.
Sokoto that one is just there.

North East
Except for maiduguri and gombe the rest are rubbish.

South South
Yenagoa is over rated.
Benin too many old buildings.

South East.
Umuahia is rubbish.
Abakaliki is picking up compared to the last time I was there.
Awka could still do better.
Owerri is not that bad.

I have been to all the states in Nigeria so I am talking from experience.
Owerri is not bad but the present governor is not doing enough in the state, Awka for me is still very small with one major road and additional duacarriage roads. Umuahia too many bad roads. Minna is big for nothing.

No state capital in Nigeria is developed, they are all pieces of shit including ikeja and Port harcourt by global standard but the worst I have visited are as follows:

1. Lokoja (this one na dead place)
2. Lafia (na only two dualized road dey for here)
3. Ado Ekiti (mtcheew)
4 Umuahia (the government here is sleeping)
5. Yenegoa (this place na total disgrace).
6. Awka ( it's an expressway capital with 3 flyovers and 2 dualized roads)

The best I have visited by Nigerian standard are:
1. Port harcourt
2. Enugu
3. Ibadan
4. Owerri
5. Ilorin
6. Ikeja

Ps: I have not visited Kaduna and Kano state before
Well said my Bro. The only dissagreement I can see here is Ibadan, she should be replace with Kano or Uyo city.

The worse is Ikeja Lagos.
Why Ikeja?
TravelMost Underdeveloped State Capitals In Nigeria by OVB123(op): 10:22pm On May 18, 2023
I have been reasoning, having traveled to most state capitals in Nigeria and seening how underdevelop most capital cities are, it is pertinent to state the list of the most underveloped capital cities in Nigeria by geo-political zone:

(1) south east - Umuahia (Abia state).

(2) South south - Yenogoa (Bayelsa state).

(3) South west - Ado ekiti (Ekiti state).

(4) North central - Lokoja (Kogi state).

(5) North east - Damaturu (Yobe state).

(6) North west - Gusau (Zamfara state).

What is your opinion on this rating? Please no insult guys.

It is laughable when people include enugu on the list. Outside cosmetic touches in enugu and nsukka the okpa spirit lives on. Akwa Ibom should be included but not before Lagos, Anambra, Rivers, Ogun, Edo, Delta and kano. Development is not about the flyovers and roads but the commercial transactions, road interconnectivity, literate population and standard of living as the measuring index. You may include provision of basic facilities in rural areas by govt and individuals as a yastic. Imo has a huge urban and semi urban population rested on the one city drive by the govt. Litracy level in Imo is mind bugging ( about 83%) highest in west and central africa according to UNESCO. With the insane development of cities in Imo state ( about 11 of them) its sure the are ready for the top. Cross River is just one big joke. Outside Calabar the state capital, lions and reptiles rule the the state.

Igboslayer:
Going to Warri back then was a big battle. You can’t enter the city with any vehicle bearing the logo of a popular company. Anywhere you park Agebros will bombard you like bees asking for Deve. Benin also borrowed some format from this and drove many potential investors away. The Benin by pass saved a lot of people and businesses from Agberos lurking in every part of the city. Robbery is very common along the bypass till this day.
No, it has reduced drastically.
PoliticsRe: Which Parts Of The North Are Christian - Dominated? by OVB123: 10:46pm On May 15, 2023
Nowenuse:
The problem with Nasarawa started in OLD PLATEAU STATE!

Plateau Christians wanted to carry the muslim minorities along in everything cos we never knew these people were evil.
Then in old Plateau state, every deputy appointment was meant for Lower Plateau (Nasarawa) people and it was always given to a muslim.
It's not as if Muslims were more in lower Plateau, but just for the sake of carrying everybody along.

So by the time Nasarawa state was created, all the big shots in the state were Muslims! They formed a muslim clique (led by Abdullahi Adamu) and since then vowed that by hook or crook, a Christian will never rule Nasarawa state.
This is an eye opener. Kudos.

Lagos is slowly sluding down that path ably supported by politicians and ethnic bigots.... It may take forever but if they don't retrace their steps that forever may just be around the corner.

They may not be the biggest port city for too long.

Port Harcourt did same with militancy and never recover... Though far better than warri but portharcourt is going down yearly
All the flyovers built by River state governor didn't give Portharcourt a facelift?

Ondo state governor asked Dangote to pay for land needed to build his largest refinery in West Africa or go somewhere else. Lagos state governor sent invitation letter to Dangote to come and take as much land as needed free of charge. Some leaders deserve nothing but stoning
Point of correction, the Governor of Ondo state at that time (Mimiko) did not demand for money but it was the community people (Iladge) that demanded for compensation on the said land from Dangote company before construction can commence.

Nostalgic.

I can't forget them days growing up in Warri while my dad managed one of Mosheshe's subsidiaries.

Airport Road/Ugborikoko was my school base while we lived at Okumagba Avenue.

There was the huge "Delta Palace Hotel" opposite my school (Ugborikoko sec. School) and flanked by the beautifully and well-planned Bendel estate...kaii

I remember how we'd visit my uncle who was the head of the Shell Police in their estate, I would always refuse to go back home with my dad. You'd think you were in heaven...gosh
Warrior was the bomb those days. The last time I visited Warri, I shook my head in tears and disbelief.

Where are all the huge warehouses and companies on Airport Road?

It's sad how they ruined my city and country..so sad.
It is the lazy youths that destroyed warri.

True! Though I wasn't there when it all happened. But this case of local tax is still in going on. I stayed in warri for four years and I saw what I've never seen in any major towns. What other people termed development and will be happy about is what warri people will demand money before it can ever take place. I pity people who will move their company to warri with this their community tax problem. That person should jist find enough extra cash before he does that.
You hit the nail on the head. Kudos.
