I have noticed that men in this part of the world do not respect ladies. A good example is a employer who want to give a lady a job but will first demand sex or the husband who feels the wife is a sex object and for child bearing or men who goes into a lady's dm and start initiating sexual talks, asking for naughty video calls and nudes. All these and many more are what women face from the male folks everyday. Women are special and demand respect from men from this part of the world.

The prestigious African Biggest street party - Calabar Carnival bikers day parade ended abruptly few hours after being flagged open by the CRS governor - Prof Ben Ayade in the state Capital on 27 December 2022. The biker's parade is one of the features during the one week long christmas celebration funfest where luxury Cars and power bikers displayed skills alongside the Cultural day carnival which was held successfully on the 26th , and the biggest street party carnival itself holding on the 28th.

Due to the COVID pandemic the 2020 and 2021 edition couldn't hold in other to checkmate the spread of the deadly virus. As the announcements earlier this year was made for about the funfare being resurrected it was met with joy and happiness from the masses as it was solely missed as the state was boring and uninteresting during the past two Christmas celebrations.

However, the 2022 Calabar biker's day brought tears and displayed the state's name in bad prints as a careless motorist evaded the barricade along the route and plunged itself into the midst of spectators along Mary slessor Avenue @ about 6pm, killing an unconfirmed number of people on the spot while other casualties were being rushed to the hospital.

The state government immediately released a press statement - that the biker's carnival has being called offed in other to mourn the innocent spectators that lost their lives and also assured the public that security personnel are on the lookout for the culprit motorist who managed to escape the scene of the incident and also to investigate how he/she had access to the route that was barricaded for the event. The Governor also sued for calm and peace as the incident was causing unrest and protest had already commenced along the popular Mary Slessor/ Bogobiri axis of the state.
