Investment / Re: 20M Naira Business Ideas With Good Returns In Abuja Rivers Benue Or Niger State by oxiide22(m): 6:02pm On Aug 09
joebeckz:
Good day All.

I would like to gather ideas that 20 million naira can fund in the states mentioned above where the investor have a base already.
Ideas should be physical businesses that one can manage directly.

Ideas already in investors mind are :

1- Poultry farming (layers)
Pros: Good return in long term
Cons: high risk and excessively time consuming.
Therefore Undecided about it for now.

2- Event center (500- 1000 capacity)
Pros : Good passive income with little stress.
Cons: Capital intensive, the 20 million won't be able to set up to finish plus equipment purchase like air conditioners, chandeliers, Mikano generator (5M- 6.5M)BUT investor owns a two plots of lands each in Niger and Benue states already should he opt for this.
Do we have architects and building engineers that can estimate this project and execute with the amount made available?
If Yes, please quote me.

3- Table water /Bottle Water factory.
Pros: Market always available & good ROI.
Cons: unknown for now. Any idea if the budgeted amount can set this business up?

You can also share other ideas that you think is best for the budget or slightly above the budget.

Funding: Investor plans to sell a property to start up a business as the property is not bringing in any income.
He believes having a running business that could turn an empire in the future could afford him a better house in the future.
He plans to rent a place to live after selling property and would pay upfront for 3 years annual rent to focus on the business he decides to go into as living in his own house without having an income other than salary is a No No.
He doesn't mind quiting his job to focus fully on his investment. The job pay isn't fantastic to fear leaving and the amount of time he puts in the job when channeled to his own business will make the difference.

The property will actually birth way above the 20 million but he doesn't want to put all into one business. So he choose to use only around 20 million so as to remain liquid.

Please post other ideas or talk about the ideas in the investors head already.

Thank you.

A typical Nigerian has a problem of choice and what they generally want in life.

Ask a young a Nigerian how much he or she feels is enough for him...and u will see the poorest among them calling billions of naira, some would even say billions of dollars while in reality, they don't even have close to 50k in their accounts.

Some of them would even stupidly compare it to what some celebrities are earning in America. Some that haven't even eaten this afternoon would tell u how earning dollars is better than naira as if they have ever earned one dollar in their life time.

For me,I think a descent family needs close to 20million naira or above in spare cash or investable cash to be able to live fine and better in this country while still working and earning a descent salary.

U can add yours,if u think I am wrong.
help me with 80k sir to finish set up my business

Your grammar is really poor for someone assumed to be a university graduate undecided

1. Punctuation:

Double periods ".." should be replaced with a single period or ellipsis "..." for consistency.
The second sentence uses ".." twice, which is incorrect.

2. Grammar:

"rid himself off the mess" should be "rid himself of the mess."
"brought upon him by Trump administration" should include "the" before "Trump administration."
The phrase "If not, why this act.." is unclear and informal. It needs clarification and correct punctuation.
The tag "[/b]" seems to be an unintended formatting code.

3. Informal Language:

"Imagine say Buhari wanted to extend his stay then..." is informal. It should be rephrased for clarity and formality.

4. Clarity and Conciseness:

The overall message is somewhat fragmented and can be more concise.
undecided

Corrected Version
Thank God he wasn't a Democrat.

The poor guy couldn't rid himself of the mess brought upon him by the Trump administration. Otherwise, why would he act this way?

Imagine if Buhari had wanted to extend his stay back then...

Stop being ignorant, I work in a multinational bank (Head Office) and earn well above 1m monthly, then you can just imagine what the big guys in higher level earn (DM and above). Except you only associate with contract staff who earn really low. My husband works in tech and earn 7000 USD monthly, you need to associate with young people doing well in their career. I even have a friend who works in oil and gas and earns 70 000 USD yearly as bonus, excluding his salary. The day i saw his bank statement when I was helping him in his visa application, I was surprised. We are all in our early 30's.

You will only do menial jobs for long if you japa illegally or didn’t have the right skills from Nigeria. Most people i know that came to Canada with permanent residency are doing job they were doing in Nigeria. Some of them had to start with menial jobs sha (2-4 months) before getting their dream jobs.

But there are people who still japa with visit visa or claim asylum. They don’t regret the menial jobs cos they are still able to save than what they saved in Nigeria.
how long have you been in canada n how much do you earn?
