Please, he should stop the hide and seek style already. Some of us were genuinely worried. The corona is creating enough tension already, we cannot afford a political tension in addition.

His present "style" according to Femi Adesina, will do us no good at this time, he should change his "style" and talk more to Nigerians even if it would be just for this period, he can go back to his normal self when the trouble waters of corona are calm or dried up.

Although I have never lived there, my heart truly breaks for the country.
I really mean it.
When I said that you guys are deeply in my prayers, I meant it.
I was even wondering about Boko Haram...whether they knew what was going on and had ceased their activities?
They need prayer as well...as much as I sometimes do not want to do so for them.
Perhaps one, two or three may surrender their lives to Christ...regardless of the circumstances.
I am even praying very deeply for (6) specific people here on Nairaland...four of them know because I have told them in one way or another. However, the other two people here on N.L. do not know, but I have been impressed to bring them before the Lord daily which I am committed to doing.
Anyway, we, Christians should be sharing the Saviour with the world AND looking introspectively into our lives to see if we truly are in the faith.
Makes me think about the large number of "disciples" (minus the appointed 12) that Christ had in the early days of His ministry (John 6:65-68 KJV).
Yet when the going got "tough", (meaning the truth about His personage and what His ministry entailed), the crowd dwindled down to only a few.
See people wanted the benefits of being around a supernatural, blessed person, yet weren't willing to sacrifice what was required.
It's very easy to preach a prosperity gospel and enjoy the "alleged" benefits from it, but is that the gospel that Christ preached and lived?
Gargantuan buildings, nice clothing, expensive cars, wealth and fame won't do a person a bit of good once Jesus returns.
Pastors, family members, ministries, co-workers etc., cannot save you.
Only Jesus Christ can.
Christians, (me included), start truly developing a real, sincere, unbreakable bond with your Lord and Saviour.
Stop playing church, dig into that Word through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, confess and forsake your sins, and then go into the world with the commission of (Matthew 28:18-20 KJV).
Who's really ready to get down into the trenches, minister to lost souls, and introduce them to the Only One who can set them free from sin and bondage?
This pestilence is only the beginning of birth pains for the end times. We are told in the scriptures.
This is more prophecy being fulfilled and should really increase our faith in Christ Jesus.
Worrying and running around hysterically about a cure for a pestilence in this world which will one day soon be destroyed, while one's soul is unclean and lost (be it in the church or out) yet not thinking about eternity truly shows where one's heart is centered.
Christians, we must do better.

Its really a trying time for the world right now and all I can say is that may GOD have mercy on us all.

Many Christian have said that the pandemic is a judgement of GOD on the sinners, but I believe (like I said in my previous post on this topic) that is more of a wake up call to the saints. Its really amaze me to see how children of GOD are seemingly rushing to take refuge in the blood of JESUS and in the secret place of THE MOST HIGH, I thought that's where we have been dwelling all this while.

Really, if you have truly lived privately and publicly like the child of GOD you claim you are, there would be no need for the emergency proclamation of security as if you were in any way insecure the whole time. It is the wicked that flee when no one is pursuing him, the righteous at the other hand is as bold as a lion.

That said, I want to say that this is not the time to tell the world how judgemental GOD can be, but a time to proclaim, the love of GOD personified in JESUS CHRIST, a time to tell them of the rest and peace that can only be found in CHRIST and how willingly GOD is ready to save all who come to HIM at such a time like this.

Its somewhat amazing, that we preach JESUS the righteous, who for the sinners gave HIS life and then go ahead and condemn the sinners to judgement and death in HIS name. We sit in our church, sing good songs, proclaim GOD'S blessings for ourselves and declare judgment on the world, and when the judgement came, it did not spare the assembling together of saints, as many of our worship center that we take pride in were empty on Sunday.

GOD is not in the building, HE is after the lost, and we must go with HIM fishing for men souls. Is not a paradox that there is a joy in heaven over the soul that is saved and yet there is joy on earth among the saints over the death of the wicked who died in their sin, sometimes we are even the ones that pronounce their death sentence.

Let us take advantage of the season and tell the world that JESUS saves and in HIM alone is help and salvation.

No one anticipated what now is a reality as we celebrated the arrival of this year and decade, but oblivion did not save us from what now stare us in the face. Well, there is no need to fear as this too shall pass.

In the early hours of Monday this week, as I started to pray, with the coronavirus as the central focus. I started with worship as usual and about five minutes into worship, THE HOLY SPIRIT ask me what I was going to pray for, and I replied, HE said why am I praying now, since I had secured myself in the blood of JESUS from the virus. I answered that, it is not the virus now but the externalities it is creating, one does not have to contract it to feel its effects.

THE HOLYSPIRIT said. this is the major cause of damage to the world today. That Christians are suppose to be intercessor, but we have become so self centered like the world around us (2Timothy 3:2). We accommodate the spread of evil as long as we are untouched and that's not what the saviour did and really, GOD has carefully plan the world so that no individual suffers without some external cost to the immediate and extended environment. This is why The LORD clearly revealed that the second greatest commandment is to "love your neighbour as yourself" (Mark 12:30-31)

I prayed even more passionately after the conversation and left it at that. Today, as I prayed again, with even greater concern as the gathering together of saints is now being suspended all over the world. I got the following message and I feel the obligation to share.

Just like it has been confirm by many, the virus will disappear just like it came, very soon. But this is a warning to the world. So that those who think everything is addressed logically may know that there are forces supernatural that oversees the affairs of the world. More so, that men may begin to seek after GOD as the end is nearer than we think.

After the mysterious respite from coronavirus, then will come final move of GOD to the massive salvation of man. Many will be saved and many will refuse salvation to their own eternal detriment as this move will lead to the rapture of the saints (An approximate time frame was given but I won't be stating it so that some won't become emboldened to continue in their sin, arguing that there is still time.)

As for the believers, the end of this plague is not an offer to return to feasting and selfish demand for personal blessing, but to go out and preach the gospel of truth, to the saving of men souls. You will generally find ease in winning of soul during this period as the grace for salvation will be greatly released all over the world, but we must preach the word, which will communicate that grace to all that hear.

If the government has anything substantial against Sanusi, let them take him to court already. He should be the one seeking asylum form political persecution instead......their problem!

My major concern is that another avenue for looting has been created, now that they have exiled him for live, and he is to be housed somewhere under government watch.....ehn! How much did Lai Mohammed say we are spending to feed El zakzaky every day again?

Given the situation of things, I can see that the south east will be negotiating ground for the North to retain power beyond 2023.

It should be no problem at all, and really its not, because I foresee a move that will undo the north should they go in this direction. Whereas the southwest is known for compromise, diplomacy and dialogue (which maybe considered as cowardice), the common denominator for the North and southeast is ruggedity, Many will argue with this but its the obvious.

The Southwest still remain the boundary of neutrality, that keep the corrosives passions of the North and Southeast in check through the history of our Nationhood.

The Southeast is obviously in its weakest position politically and so am not surprised at all this forced decamping in deaspirate attempt to retain their hold of whatever is left of the political crumbs available to them, my caution would be to the North, they should tread softly, the Southeast are not known for loyalty, especially when they don't have to be loyal.

The good thing is, I am sure the Southeast would achieve the needed restructuring in months, (which the Southwest have tried hard to achieve in decades without success), given the same political privileges.

We are more civilized in this age, we have all the scandals, divorce, relationship fights and killings to show for it.

I maintain that, there are no moral justification for a opposite sex being close friends. My pastor us told how in those days, A father is not allow to sleep alone in the home with his daughter, the mother being away. This is a very helpful contribution, and I sympathise with you on your experience on July 30. Hope you've recovered from the injuries now.

It's a pity what Abuja has become. I always (naively) thought it was the safest and sweetest city in Nigeria. Perhaps because Im not fully resident there. I guess the Fulani criminal invasion changed everything.

Which Airport Road are you referring to, by the way? The long stretch from Jabi airport junction all the way through Lokogoma to Kabusa, or is it the Lugbe axis? I need to know where the black spots in the city are so that I can thread with extra caution, just in case.

Bros, I use to share your thought on the safety of abuja too, I obviously don't any more.

And the incident happen around lugbe axis.

It is suicidal to be at lonely areas in abuja after dusk. I am a living witness to this fact. Sadly the guy did not live to narrate his ordeal.

On July 30th, I decided to go on an evening walk, at about 7pm. I was accosted by hoodlum meters away from my estate along airport road. Was stabbed severally, I took a stab wound to my chest, it missed my heart by a few inch.

My walk ended in national hospital Abuja. Interestingly, about 10 other persons, with similar incident were brought into trauma resource on same night.

This guys carrying out the attack can't speak English, so their council is to immobilize their victims and ransack them for whatever they can find. They are usually armed with cutlasses, knives and they carry out their operation on motorcycle (okada)

My advice to everyone in and around abuja is to avoid lonely spot after dusk, if whatever reason you are stranded in such area, start running till you find a place that is relatively safe.
