Predator188: You may have submitted employment documents and bank statements this may have added more weight to the application. Not necessarily the fiance and coming back to marry her because marriage ceremony will also require income or funding. Yes I submitted employment documents and salary statement of account and that was why I said I used it but do not know if it counted though. |

SoftdudeKay: Guy please, I sent out a web form yesterday morning being 17th of November after when my application processing time has exceeded 13 weeks. I just received this email now and I don’t understand why they ask me to request for a change of address. When I clicked on the change of address link in the email, this second attachment is what I saw on the IRCC website.
Could this be because I applied in March 2020 with my former house address just before the whole Covid stuff?
NOTE: My application type then was Visitor Visa.
@bepostive11 @olokings @Justmellow
Please, kindly advise. Thanks. I responded to you saying it was a generic message that you don’t need to change anything. Maybe my response wasn’t good enough. |

Please o, I got my PPR and I have sent it. But I deferred since September 20th, 2022 to September 2023 and collage hasn’t sent me and updated LOA. My question is, what effect will it have on the visa? As I’m thinking they will issue visa from 2022-2023 instead of using the new LOA that’ll mean they will issue 2023-2024. Abeg make una help me with my concern.
Una thank you |

Kikivanxx: Long post alert!!!
My timeline and docs.
First application October 13 2021 Refusal February 17 2022
Second application July 13 Eligibility August 27 Medical passed September 2 BVL October 14 PPR October 14 School - Confederation college
This time I decided to take my time and address all the previous denial concerns which was personal assets and finances.
For my SOP and LOE, i did a draft of how i wanted my SOP to look like and thanks to gcmswriters for helping with writing, reviewing my sop.
What i did differently from my previous application was that i became self sponsored, i had my mom instruct her debtor to pay the 22M he owed to my account which was what I explained in the LOE as it was a debt repayment. This of course i backed with the loan agreement docs, transfer slips.
Also paid my full tuition out of the money and also set up a GIC account to further clear any doubt that the money was just for show. After all of this i also showed an MBS of 13M in liquid cash and stated so in my LOE that i have been handed over all the money for my school and i have full control (clarifying doubts that maybe the money might not be available to me)
For the properties i used this as further proof of funds and also ties. Very important! I did a gift deed of a duplex from my father to me to show ties and personal asset.
School Documents (Neco result, B.eng Certificate, Transcripts) Admission Letter International Passport Data Page Passport Picture CV Tuition receipt (full tuition paid $16k) Filled IMM Application Forms (study permit & family form) Nysc discharge certificate Project management Certification. Statement of Purpose (3 page) LOE (addressing my previous denial in February and the changes i have made and also explaining lump sum of 22M) Police clearance Work Documents (Company Registration documents, Employment documents, work ID card, leave letter, reference letter) Birth Certificate NIN Parent's international passport, all my siblings international passports and birth certificates. Pics with family. Property valuation documents (sent this week via webform before my approval came because i was so worried and I decided to send more docs) 6months Personal Bank statement (MBS 13.8M) GIC $10k Letter of sponsorship from my parents. Land documents of four properties of my parents and one property given to me as gift deed by my parents) Business investment documents. Letter of moral support from parents. Affidavit of return by parents. Previous travel stamps (dubai, kenya) Car docs (2cars) Covid 19 vaccine certificate.
My special thanks to the team at travelout9ja. I learnt so much from here too. Thanks to y’all.
I wish all expecting PPR success. Congratulations |

Demmy10: It's PPR guys!!!
First of all, I would like to thank God for my approval. I finally got my PPR after 3 attempts.
First Application: Applied April 19, 2021. Refused August 12, 2021.
In the first application, I used an agent because I didn't know much about the whole process of Canada study visa. I joined nairaland when the application was ongoing and I learnt so much just reading through the threads. I wouldn't even consider it as an application cos the agent literally did nonsense, omooo, I was like does this man knows what he did? After the refusal came, I decided I was going to apply myself the next time.
Second Application: Upfront Medicals: 22nd February, 2022 Applied: February 26, 2022. Refused: May 6, 2022.
This time I applied myself using the information I got from nairaland, but unfortunately I got refused again. That was my fault, I thought the Proof of Funds was going to be enough, but it wasn't. I thought this would be my last application cos the refusal hit me so harddd, I ordered for GCMS notes to find out the main reason, nothing concrete was really written there.
"They said the documentation provided in support of the applicant's financial situation does not demonstrate that the funds would be sufficient or available. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense". Then I knew nothing much had to be done, just to make sure my funds is higher and also to make sure it would be readily available. I decided to give it a try one last time.
Third Application: Applied July 2, 2022 Upfront Medicals updated to pass on the 17th of August. PPR came October 12, 2022. Eligibility didn't start until today when I got my PPR. Just yesterday, I messaged MP's to help me enquire about my application and they were willing to help and today boom!!! I'm just so happy right now, the feeling is so surreal.
I really cannot believe that I am sharing my PPR testimony, I just want to thank you guys for assisting me through this whole process. Trust me it hasn't been an easy ride but God came through for me. Then to my fellow July applicants @Thomsyne, @Isyma and other PPR expectant, I pray your applications get approved soonest. For those that were denied keep firing, if I can get it then trust me you can.

glotalk: from my experience right now i would advice that JR is the last solution. re-applying is still the best, provided you can attend to the matters the VO raise in your refusal not until all this are exhausted their is no need for JR. i am in one currently so i can advice how time taken and draining the processes takes. not discouraging JR guys just so you get your apps ready cause it's a good fight. You’re right. |

CharitoJames: It has gotten to that… it’s just 1 refusal which we don’t even know the reason yet… so I don’t have a case. My friend did it for his mom, they said she was a security threat or so and made inadmissible… this was in 2020… They have done the JR and won, she’s currently in Canada now as a PR. She is a retired officer and was asked if she has ever shot a gun.. Mama said No (Lmao, this still cracks me and the son up. We always laugh about it). How can you be a police officer for years and you no shoot even during training. Lmao! But finally they won the case.
Wo! My own never reach like that, i no get case Lol, wo, me I was just feeling concerned ni jare. All these people will make you feel like you don’t know what you doing or saying. Las las, everyone will be alright. It will end in praise |

olokings: i may be incorrect, but i don't think using a sponsor who has to commit over 70% of his available and accessible funds for your study is not strategic nor logical.
The sponsor should be able to boast a liquid bank balance requiring no more than 25-30% to fund your full study cost requirements.
This may not be a stated rule, but i think it makes logical sense. No normal person will want to "sponsor" or grant you scholarship which will consume over 70% of his available funds.
Keep that in mind when quoting sponsors. Then having multiple 3rd party sponsors is already a flag, when they don't totally encourage 3rd party sponsors to begin with. It is not just about finding sponsors, but finding one that you can demonstrate commitment and reasonable expense for the sponsorship.
ciao Please bro what’s the correct option to select from? For fast and more details reasons for study permit refusal
