Djdimeji: Hello house, Please can someone advise me on the upfront medicals please. I'm a prospective student for Canada and going by the time already, applying for the NSE is my best bet, and for this I would need an upfront medical. So my question, 1. In order to do this upfront medicals must I have commenced any form of the visa process or I can just go ahead with first getting the medicals done in preparation for the visa application. 2. How much does it costs. Particularly for ikeja, Lagos. 3. How long does it take to get the results ready for the visa process.
NB: I'm for the winter intake 2023 and don't want it to pass or be deferred due to processing time, reason why I'm gathering info on what it's going to take to be eligible for the NSE which includes ielts, police clearance and biometrics.
So given all these can anyone just kindly advice on how to adequately time and arrange myself in order to be able to meet up. Thank you! 1. It’s not compulsory to have commenced your application before upfront medicals. 2. The cost in IOM should be #46,500 for one adult and the cost for kids differ. 3. The result should be ready at the shortest possible time, but on that same day of the medicals, an e-Medical sheet would be given to you to include in your application. Goodluck It will end in praise. |

Nerd95: Have you applied for GCMS notes? If yes, the notes help you to see the progress of your application and could trigger the revisiting of your file. The later point is not always true but it is debatable...it sometimes work. I noticed a pattern: there are about 30days between when my friend received his notes and when he received a final decision last year. Same apply to me too this year. I think you’re right, I ordered for my notes, 9 days later I got a decision. Not sure if that influenced the speed at which they reached a decision though. |

Isjaymoh: Good afternoon beautiful people.
I need your assistance on this issue. My wife is interested in applying for studies via in Canada but we need someone to assist us in to procedure. Like how much is their college tuition fee, when is the best time to apply because she plan to travel next year.
Thanks The tuition fee is dependent on program and program length. You can go on google to check universities/colleges/polytechnics that offer her choice of program. You’ll also consider their refund and deferral policy, and if the institution is a DLI and if eligible for PGWP. |

Cheebu: Good day everyone.. Been following this thread for a while. I'm just so happy that I got my PPR today after initial rejection.
Second application: 28th June Upfront medicals: 26th July Medicals passed: 23rd Sept Eligibility review: 28th Sept PPR: 21st Oct.
I must add that I had to write the MP yesterday & I got a decision today. I'm not saying he played a role but who knows? Lol
Reason for initial rejection was insufficient funds & reasons given not consistent with that of a temporary stay. I got a gift deed of N10m & tried to convince the VO in my SOP why I chose the particular course of study because it wasn't related to my current practice.
In all, I give God the glory. Those of us who are still waiting will receive good news very soon. Amen.
Don't forget to pray guys. Congratulations |

GCMS note - 5th March, 2022 (Taking the applicant's plan of studies into account, documents submitted show some funds seem available, but there are concerns that the modest funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized fortheir stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application).
3rd Application - Study visa 1. Reapplied - 23rd June, 2022 2. Medicals passed - 13th October, 2022 (didn’t even know), (later removed on the 17th/18th) 3. Eligibility - 16th October, 2022 4. June 14th: applied for GCMS Notes

Sent mails to IRCC requesting that my application be expedited, Nairobi office nor send my mail lol. Abuja sha replied and gave me a special link to raise a webform. I raised webforms tire, still no reply from IRCC. Raised webforms, got generic responses.
September 1st: I requested for my school to send me a letter stating that I need to resume before September 18th, and that I am a funded research student. Letter arrived that same day.
September 19th: Admission was deferred to January start.
The wait was affecting me mentally. Had to take my mind off it to focus on my live.
September 28th: GCMS notes arrived. Says "Recommend Interview".
October 6th: Sent my new admission letter to IRCC stating that my admission has been deferred.
October 17th: woke up with an holy anger and send mails to IRCC requesting that my application be expedited because I think I have been unfairly treated by having to wait for 7months for a visa whereas others are getting theirs in 3 months.

Ayobeezy: Congratulations to you I got rejected on the 13/10/2022 for the same reason. Can you please assist in how your reapplied and did your POF with letter of explanation. Thanks Thank you. First of all, I ordered for GCMS note. I initially only paid tuition deposit of 6k CAD out of 16k, so when the refusal letter came in, I paid the tuition balance making it 16k CAD total before re applying. When the GCMS note came, the VO’s concern was that a lump sum was deposited in my account but explained, but that the existence of my bro’s company who did deed gift to me was not verifiable. So I tackled that as well by showing evidence of his work and invoices. Personal assets: I also emphasized that I have a job to come back to with promotion which was in the first application. I submitted the same documents I used during the first application. I’m self sponsored Goodluck in your next application It will end in praise |

Silas12345: what I noticed is that all the note I ordered nothing changed it all same info until I stopped it as at July, reason for refusal for the first application is home ties and financial stuff and I’ve tackled it in the second application that taking forever now. Stress and blood is not easy I went to Lagos for the first upfront medical and after a year in my gckey I noticed that the medical passed is not there again and I was told that the medical has expired so I was advised to do another upfront that one I did it in Abuja and I stay in ogbomoso oyo state see how far I am and all this stuff is not even encouraging, it’s SAD. This is sickening, I feel your pain bro. Have you been sending emails and webforms too? Did you contact any MP? It will end in praise |

And since then I have not received any further progress on my application status and there is still no update being made. IRCC is playing with my mental health, A whole fucking 16 months is not fair at all. And the worst is that I’m a second time applicant. WTF... second time applicant? What was the reason for first refusal? Have you ordered for GCMS note? If you haven’t please do. It will end in praise. |
