It doesn't also makes him more better than a goalkeeper who keeps many clean sheet in the same season or makes some crucial saves that prevent his team from losing.
Or a midfielder who won the most tackles, complete the most successful passes, rendered the most assists,complete the most dribbles leading to creation of goal scoring chances for the strikers.

So,if you look at individual performance in that angle in that year, you will agree with me that Wesley Sneider,as a midfielder,was instrumental to his Inter club winning the treble with his sublime passes to Diego Milito and Samuel Eto for scoring,his dictation of the pace of the game was second to none.
