Yes, they are wrong to invade your house and seize it when they have no court order to do so.
But at the same time, they are right bcuz you supervised the same impunity on others while holding sway to power.
Court will be giving order, you will be disobeying them.
Court granted some people bail during your tenure but you refuse to obey to release them.
And today, you are talking about the Rule of Law as if you are Prof. A.V.Dicey.

babzo:
It was a fire fighting vehicle attending to an emergency at the Airport.

Very unfortunate.

From my experience working with at the Airport, this is likely an unfortunate situation, but "blame" on the fire fighters to an extent.

A plane that is given right to land and to taxi, does not stop for anyone; every one clears the runway. No other plane will be in the way if traffic control is doing its job.

But emergencies are not planned, so fire fighters responding to an emergency to save a life dont normally stop for anyone too....BUT they must be on the lookout for cars and passengers not obeying or unaware of them, not to talk of a whole plane.
You said you work in the Airport.
But you are not demonstrating professionalism enough in your analysis of the situation.
Why should you even put a blame on the Fire Fighters?
Another aircraft had an emergency in the Runway and Fire Tender was called to duty by the ATC.
Which they responded and was still at the scene of the incident.

That situation given, the ATC has no right clearing any aircraft to land or take off again in that aerodrome until the situation is certified cleared and safe for operations.

What the safety protocols demand in that situation is that they should have immediately issued a NOTAM to all Air Missions to notify them that the Aerodrome is closed till further notice.
In that way,all incoming flights to that airport would have been diverted to another airport.

But for a trained ATC to have cleared that Air Canada to land in the airport that it's runway was still very active with emergency incident, then the whole blame should be on him/her and not the Fire Fighters.

But if you leave the ATC who determines who enter the runway, who leave it,or who lands there or take off from there and blame Fire Officers who only enters there with the permission of ATC and you said you have experience working in the airport, then it only shows maybe you were/are working in the admin or business dept or as an IT or an adhoc service provider in the airport and not as a core trained professional Aviator.

I don't know what you are analyzing.
The Biggest Looser is Nigeria and the Nigerians.
We were supposed to be the Biggest Gainers in this M.E conflicts had it been that PBAT had used the subsidy money to build refineries as he promised us.
We would have been exporting refined petroleum products now to our African brothers and to Europe and wrecks in enough foreign exchange and negotiate on a position of strength for other services from them to boost our economy and improve life for the citizens.
But lack of visionary leadership and self-serving interests on his side and all other leaders today didn't allow such critical infrastructure to see the light of the day.
Hence, our suffering and occupation of No. 1 spot in the loosers table in this conflict.
What would have concerned us with what is happening in the Strait of Hormuz other than gaining if we had had people-oriented leadership in place.

Giigglee:
The fears of Europe is once they took Ukraine they will start taking up other territories of the old USSR and maybe start challenging other European countries Putin handled the whole thing too much in a rush. Fine NATO could have used Ukraine to get to him but other countries near him like Poland are in NATO so that is not still justified. It the same reason why NATO doesn't want to help out with America nobody is interested in expansion politics especially after they wanted to take Greenland.
Did I hear you say nobody is interested in expansion politics?
The way you guys analyze Int'l politics do amaze me atimes.
What do you called 'expansion politics'?
In 1991,USSR was balkanized into 15 countries due to external pressure from Europe and America.
The NATO that was formed for that purpose was made to sign an agreement at Warsaw with Russia that they will not expand to any of the new countries splinted from Russia.
Today, NATO you said are not interested in expansion politics has expanded to almost all the countries formally of Russia in defiance to the earlier agreement they signed with Russia.
Then among the 15 countries splitted from Russia, Ukraine is the only one that is a part of them as majority of the Ukrainians are Russians.
So, Russia pleaded with NATO that they should not attempt to expand further to Ukraine which is Russia itself. That they have already taken every other former Russian territories without Russia fighting with them.
That they should leave Ukraine which is Russia alone. But they refused.
In 2014,they sponsored internal insurrection in Ukraine that ousted an elected president,Victor Yanukovic for being Pro-Russia and installed a Pro-NATO Zelensky.
Zelensky then sponsor a bill in Parliament to obliterate Russian language in schools, and kickstart the process of joining NATO and EU.
Putin warned him.He didn't listen.
And Putin,in an attempt to prevent NATO/EU from surrounding his country and finally attacking them went to war with Ukraine/NATO.

And out of sentiment, you are here saying he acted in a rush.
What rush?
So,to you,he should have waited until his enemy surrounds him before he act, right?

Secondly,NATO taking over former Russian territories against Warsaw Pact and Budapest treaty is not expansion politics to you, right?

NATO, building their military Bases all over the middle east that is not their territory is not an expansion politics to you also?

America attempting to annex Greenland, Mexico and Canada is not an expansion politics , according to you.
Since nobody is interested in expansion politics again.
You try well ..oo!!!

This is so irritating.
This is not tradition but barbarism.
The State House of Assembly should suspend that Isoko North L.G Council Chairman.
Member representing that constituency in the SHoA should be equally suspended with immediate effect.
The king of that kingdom should be dethroned.
The CP there too should be sanctioned except he is not up to 2 years there.

Since they said it's their tradition and customs,so I want to believe the festival is a yearly event
And if it's a yearly event, that means all the people I mentioned should be made to face the law for aiding and abbeting such a heinous crime against humanity for so long in this 21st century.
How can a community with both political, religious, traditional and security leaders sit and watch or organized and supervised animalistic festivals called "RAPING FESTIVAL"?
That means they might have celebrated it year before last, those I mentioned didn't do anything about it,last year they celebrated it too, and those so called leaders and security chiefs didn't see anything bad in rap..ing innocent ladies, then this year they do it again and was posted in social media before the so called Council Chairman come out to condemn it only in the mouth.
So,if it was not posted in the social media this year,it would have just continued like that till thy kingdom come?

Sports › Re: Senegal Coach Takes AFCON Trophy To Military Base by Pacesetter123(m): 10:58am On Mar 20
Princedapace:
There is no room for staging a walkout in football. So, make all teams dey stage a walk out na when referee mess up? Imagine what will happen.
Article 82 defines the violation
Article 82 is the starting point. It explains the situations in which a team can be considered to have committed a serious breach of CAF competition rules.

These include withdrawing from the competition, failing to show up for a match, refusing to play, or leaving the pitch before the end of the game without the referee’s permission.

In simple terms, the article protects one basic principle: a team must take part in the match fully and under official authority until the referee blows the final whistle. Once that principle is broken, CAF can treat the team’s conduct as a major violation of its rules.

That is where and how Senegal’s conduct in Rabat on January 18 could only be interpreted as constituting a grave violation of CAF’s rules of engagement.

Indeed, according to CAF’s latest ruling, the Appeal Board determined that Senegal’s behavior during the final fell within one of the situations listed under Article 82. That gave CAF the legal ground to move to the next step.

Article 84 sets the appropriate punishment
If Article 82 defines the breach, Article 84 explains the consequence. It says that any team found in violation of Articles 82 or 83 is considered to have lost the game by forfeit.
The rule also allows the team to be excluded from the competition and leaves room for additional sanctions if the organizing body deems such actions necessary.

The standard forfeit score is 3-0. But if the opposing team had already been leading by more than 3-0 before the match was stopped, that bigger score would remain. In this case, CAF applied the standard forfeit score.

This is why the legal logic of the decision is straightforward. Once the board decided Senegal’s actions matched the type of violation described in Article 82, the punishment under Article 84 followed directly.

There is no emotion in law. This is the problem with most Nigerians, always sentimental, no wonder they just cant elect a good leader. Always electing rubbish. Imagine electing Buhari.
Your argument here doesn't hold water.
At what point should that article be applied?
For instance, the same article you quoted also talked about 'walk over'.
If a team fails to show up in a match on time while the opponent is already there in the field with the officials waiting.
When it's time, even if the team later arrives at the venue a minute late, the referee will implement the law there and then by blowing his whistle to end the match.
And the other team would be awarded 3 goals and 3 points or a cup as the case maybe without kicking a ball.

But it will be an act of stupidity for the referee to allow the team who arrived far beyond the time to still play the ball and the ball ended successfully with the late arriving team winning the ball.
After like 2 months the organizers of the competition then come out to say that the rules says if a team arrives late for a match,it should be walked over.
That the team that played the match and won has forfeited their winning to their opponent.
Walked over?
And you allowed them play?
That is like putting the cart before the horse.

The right way to have implemented the rules you quoted should have been for the referee to blow the final whistle at the point the Senegalese staged the walk out and declared Morocco winner.
In that way,all these furore wouldn't have been there.
But for Mu.mu Mosepe and Referee to have allowed them to come back to the field and the match proceeded to 120 mins stipulated time and the Referee blow his final whistle and the cup given to the Senegalese team as the winner means that you can no longer classified the match as an abandoned match. Therefore, the rule you quoted doesn't applied in that instance.
It can only apply when the 'walk out' lead to an abandonment of the match.
Is that what is too difficult for you and Mosepe to understand?
Sports › Re: Senegal Coach Takes AFCON Trophy To Military Base by Pacesetter123(m): 12:33am On Mar 20
Princedapace:
Have u taken out time to read the rules of the game? Staging a walk out is prohibited and u will lose the match.
if that is not done that way, everyone will stage a walk out once officiating is sensed to be bad towards them. And bad is relative in football.
You must be a South African.
Bcuz that is the exact way that your elder brother, Mosepe is reasoning.
Which rule are you talking about?
Did the Senegalese abandon the match?
The staged a walk out protesting the open injustice meted out to them.
The referee was still in the field, some Senegalese players such as Sadio Mane was still equally in the field.
The other players were later called back to the field and the referee continued with the remaining part of the match to the end.
Morocco played the controversial penalty and missed it.The match went on to extra time where Senegal scored a goal.
The referee brought the match to a close officially after the stipulated 120 minutes.
And the same CAF president that reason like you didn't remember any rule as at that time.He went on in the presence of FIFA president to present the trophy to the Senegalese national team.

Thereafter,he invoked the appropriate rules to fine the Senegalese team for staging a walk out and suspended the coach for his role in it and everybody was okay with it.
So which rules you and him are now talking about after 3 months to return the trophy that they won from a match the referee officiated to the end?

The mods who push such posts to front page are equally displaying their lack of understanding of one problem currently bedeviling our healthcare system i.e irrational use of medications and self medication!
What you are posting here constitute a greater problem to Nigeria society than what the Op posted.
This mindset you are carrying is what breed half-baked graduates in Nigeria schools that are now a problem to the society.
This your opinion and few others I have seen in this thread is akin to the warp opinion one Biology teacher during my secondary school days hold because he was a pastor of a certain church.
He refused to teach students expecially those in SS 1 & 11 reproduction in biology.
He claimed that those students are under age (i.e, below 18yrs) and that it's a taboo in African society to mention some sensitive parts like v.a..gi..na and pen..is where such children are. That it will make them start to experiment se.xual intercourse in real time thereby encouraging morale decadence.
It was when a certain set gets to SS 3 that another Biology teacher was asking the students very simple things that was in SS 1 syllabus and the students said those things were so strange to them that they have never heard of them through out their time in school until that moment.
That their SS 1 teacher said they are not yet mature for such teachings until when they get to the universities.
Forgetting that that is even the foundational class for producing sound future Doctors, Pharmacists, etc.
The matter was reported to the authority and he was disciplined.
But before then,he had already turned out 4-5 sets of 'biology empty brains ' students to the universities of which many of them ended up in Faculty of Clinical Science or other Allied m
Medical Faculties.
And you expect our healthcare system to be comparable with the ones in other climes.

The Op is giving some sort of education on uses of drugs, and at the end of the lecture,he stated clearly that no one should take any of the drugs without consulting a medical professional.

Yet,upon all that, the only thing you could deduce from there, just as the Biology teacher I talked about deduced se.xual intercourse from reproduction topic is 'encouraging drug abuse and self medication'.
We cannot go far in this country with this type of mindset.
