This is very undemocratic.
It happened in Edo, and now it's happening in Rivers.
Politics › Re: All Police DIGs, Senior AIGs To Retire After Disu's Confirmation As IGP by Pacesetter123(m): 12:36am On Mar 07
stuffs2002:
Mba got double promotion based on quarter system and became DIG while some of his mates were still commissioners. Why did you not cry and wail over his accelerated promotions then?

Mba entered police as an inspector but because of qouter system was promoted and became senior to his former seniors but you did not wail over that.
You guys are te.rri.ble.
Was the comments about Mba?
Is Mba the most senior among the DIGs?
The comment was about appointing IGP from among the DIG and not AIG as the case mostly is.
Pass through normal ranks...CP--AIG-DIG--IGP.
I even mentioned that the same thing is happening in the military and other security agencies.
So,is Mba also in the military and other security agencies?

Is Mba the only senior to Disu in the police force?
Why are you so particular about Mba when none of the comments quoted didn't mention him?
Abeg I no dey follow una do Igbo and Yoruba ethnic para for Nairaland.
I am talking about national security issues here and not your usual Igbo and Yoruba online fight.
Politics › Re: I Had A Fever And Mistakenly Agreed To The Aburi Accord - Yakubu Gowon by Pacesetter123(m): 7:35pm On Mar 06
Look at the set of people we have as leaders in Nigeria!
So,a president of a country do not know the content of agreement, yet he signed it.
And you people say this country can move forward.
So, Gowon is telling me that if a foreign interest bring a paper for him to hand over Nigeria to them ,he will feverishly sign it and hand over the resources and the entire citizens to foreign country without knowing?
This are the type of men that were to be laying the foundation for Nigeria future .....men who do not know their left from right. No wonder this country is like this!

It is now that I know that it was Pa Gowon that caused Nigeria civil war and not Ojukwu.
Wike should go and sing to that man.. agreement is agreement..ooo!

chukwutee:
Why do you say that? So what make sense to you?
Maybe, appointment of IGP based on seniority.
He is frowning at a system where a politician will just pick a very junior officer to become an IGP over his numerous seniors in service probably bcuz of political or ethnic consideration.
The same thing is happening in the military and other security agencies.
I agree with the guy that it's wrong to do so.
The system can breed a lot of disgruntle elements in the Force which can have negative impact on national security.
From CP to AIG, from AIG to DIG, from DIG to IGP... that's how it should be.

Defeating Boko Haram shouldn't be in the "matter of time".
It should be here and now.

donmik:
Dude was mad, indeed.

No keeper dares such risk nowadays again going by the modernised and classical rules of football
But no modernized and classical rules of football stops any goalkeeper from doing what he was doing then.
Dribbling to the opponent box, taking shots at opponent goal, taking and scoring free kicks and penalties.
The football rules today doesn't prevent any goalkeeper from doing any or all of the above tasks in the pitch of play.

Another one is that short keeper from Mexico (I have forgotten his name).

Politics › Re: Kano Assembly Commences Impeachment Proceedings Against Dep-Gov Gwarzo by Pacesetter123(m): 12:13pm On Mar 06
Reference:
No sir.
The allegations is that he abused his office by extorting sums of money from the local government authorities.

Whether it is politically motivated or not, a crime is alleged to have been committed warranting impeachment. Nothing absolutely wrong with that.

If we are upset by this then let us use OUR OWN political powers to promote accountability by equally removing corrupt officials and replacing them with prudent, progressive governments.
Then if so, what has the Assembly done to the 44 Council Chairmen that gave the bribe?
If nothing happen to them, then know that the guy was right by terming it "politics of intimidation".

A Principled Leader that couldn't protect the territorial integrity of the Nigeria Sovereign State as enshrined in the Constitution.

Do people expect them to win every match? Fatigue and other factors will eventually set in. I saw it in that crystal palace match and it happened today.
Fatigue?
Man U and fatigue shouldn't be in one sentence this season.
They are playing in only one competition for goodness sake!
If Man U should complain of fatigue, then Arsenal,my beloved Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City that are playing in 3--4 competitions should be crying all day for waist breakage.

Why must they remove their own 10% equity shares from the company?
Is it because they are female children?
Have they also removed the shares of that their first son that married President Buhari's daughter from the company?
I guess no, bcuz he is a male child.
Give them their rights joor!
All children are children; whether male or female.

That being said,so this Oriental Energy that is situated in my very backyard has this type of money and I don't see shi shi from them as an indigene of the area?
No Corporate social responsibility to the community,no scholarship to us the youths of the community,no developmental program,no nothing!
But see money that they are making in my own backyard.
From Borno State where this Indimi family comes from to my area that they owned oil field where their company is exploring and exploiting is about 4 days journey covering about 2,000 kilometers.
The long distance didn't deter them from exploiting our oil resources. Can the reverse be the case?
Even if I have the financial capacity today, can the Northeners allow me to own a Gold Field in Borno or Zamfara as they are owning Oil Field in our backyard?
Your guess is as good as mine.

Apart from Iran Islamic religious extremism,I admired them for technological advancement.
I have been wondering since this war started, can my country, the giant of Africa fight this kind of war?
Stay in your country and send guided missiles to hit a target thousands of miles away in another country.
Do Nigeria military has the capability to stay in Maidugri and send missiles to even as near as Damaturu for instance?
Iran is just a developing country like us,but look at where they are now technologically and otherwise.
At times,I will sit down and pity the entire Black African States expecially its giant that supposed to be a leading example to others.
So backward in everything.

God bless you Sir....De Senator!
The number 1 thing in the recommendation is that abolition of obnoxious sharia and blesphemy law.
How can your god asked you to stone somebody and burnt him/her to death for a mere argument about religion?
That is insanity of the highest order.
Innocent Sister Deborah still fresh in my memory.

The next important recommendation there is visa and economy ban to all the accomplices of terrorists/terrorism.
