And what happened to the economy? Subsidy was a cancer on the economy.
An economy that was battered by the likes of those in power and those forming coalition.
It is at this technological age EFCC is finding out that these crooks are now hiding stolen funds by using Crypto
Listen to these politicians at your own peril. It's all baldadash. They have nothing to offer.
So is economy in anyway better now than his era?

The same buhari and tinubu marched against subsidy removal in 2012....

Also, keeping the subsidy left us with a debt that was eating 90% of our government revenue by August 2022.

Yes, it was a good decision...not.
If it's a good decision, then why did they march to the street against it in 2012 as you said?
This is what we called "hypocrisy".

We are dying from the excessive borrowing he had to make for us to "enjoy" the fuel subsidy.

The government was even borrowing money through ways and means from the government. This is basically asking the central bank to print you money to lend to it.

When Tinubu assumed office, 97% of government revenue was going towards servicing debt. With the fuel subsidy removal and the floating of the Naira, it's down to 68%.

Buhari's economic illiteracy was legendary. He wanted to be popular.
So the present government is not borrowing, right?
Then how does their own borrowing benefits the poor masses like Buhari's own?
You people will just open mouth waaah to talk trash!

Travel › Re: Fuel To Engines Of Air India Plane That Crashed Cut Off Moments After Take-off. by Pacesetter123(m): 6:53pm On Jul 13, 2025
Christlike01:
As much as I would like to agree with your line of reasoning, I find it almost impossible to believe that the Captain and First Officer of the ill-fated Indian flight simply forgot to switch on the fuel pump. This is because there is a mandatory pre-flight procedure that must be performed before takeoff—commonly referred to as the pre-flight checklist or before-start checklist.

Pilots rely on these standardized checklists to ensure that all necessary procedures are completed and that systems are properly configured before flight, as well as during all other critical phases such as takeoff, cruise, descent, and landing. While the specific checklist items may vary slightly depending on the aircraft type, the overall process is an essential and rigorously followed safety protocol.

Given this, I strongly believe that the flight captain would have reviewed and confirmed all necessary systems with the First Officer before departure. A typical exchange in the cockpit might go as follows:

Captain: Battery switches?
First Officer: ON

Captain: Fuel pumps?
First Officer: ON

Captain: APU?
First Officer: ON and available

Based on this standard operating procedure, it seems highly unlikely that they would have forgotten to switch on the fuel supply system.
Then in that case too,it wouldn't have been possible for one of the pilots to pull out the switch board and switch it off without the 2nd pilot seeing it or knowing about it.
They are in same cockpit and doing the same checks just as you have said.
So how come one of the pilots is asking the other one why he switched off the fuel supply?
Was he not in the same cockpit with him before and during the takeoff?

Good it's your opinion, but you're wrong here.

The switch is strong and requires some strong touch, that must come from pilots or first officer. This has nothing to do with maintenance
Not that I am agreeing with the person you quoted, but do you know that the maintenance crew do have access to the cockpit and they also start the engines too for maintenance purposes?
So why do you rule out the possibility of them accessing the fuel switch?
Anything is possible, but let's wait until the investigation is concluded.

Howhuh That man had too much political death to his name, with zero solution to the Nigerians problem. Criticise the government is okay, never bring in a such a character like Abacha.
Bad as you said he was in terms of human rights abuse,he was the best in securing the nation against any external aggression and internal insurrection.
Who born terrorists to walk majestically into a school and pack 300 students and matched out as if they students were doing match pass in the stadium for 27th May day celebration?
You matched them out unchallenged into a territory you carved out of Nigeria and ruled and still demand for ransom as we are witnessing under democratic rules?
And most importantly, there was no part of Nigeria territory that was allowed to be ceded to another country under his watch as compared to what the democratic rulers did in ceding the oil rich Bakasi Peninsula to France in the name of cameroun.
Remember, that was people ancestral land and today,as I speak to you, those people are now strangers in their father's land in another man's country undergoing the kind of torture and human rights abuse that even you wouldn't wished to be visited upon your worst enemies.
A territory that Abacha was fighting for so fiercely and has already succeeded in reclaiming and securing it for the citizens and businesses was booming to boost marine and blue economy to Nigeria state.
Ask OBJ and Atiku why it was given out to cameroun on a plater of gold.
So,in any forum that I am,be it online or real time,I won't fold my hands to see him being demonize in all ramifications without me defending him in at least one or two areas that he was good at.
If you say human rights abuse,I will agree with you but if you say he was totally bad in all aspects of governance,I will not agree with you.

Why are the ones all the people I mentioned above built in abroad working?
It is a grand evil design by those involved to continue to milk Nigeria economy dry and perpetually subject the country to abject poverty.

This is a very valid point. It is the same Rabbiu Kwankwaso, also former governor of Kano state.
These men have been in the corridors of power for so long. It's high time they are retired. They don't have any new ideas to offer. Most of them are going into office because aside from government they don't know how to run any franchise its always about looting or surviving on government funds. If the trend is not checked, then there's absolutely nothing for the younger generations.

Unfortunately, time doesn't wait for anyone. The younger generation has a decision to make. Either remain docile, do not partake in politics and let these same old men run the country as a private property or they wake up and join politics and insist that votes will actually count for something and make the true change that this country desperately needs. We need new faces, new ideas and not the same recycled people from donkey years back.
