erad:Winning is winning. There is nothing like friendly. Some big teams take friendly very serious also especially against a "smaller" team in order to preserve their prestige, pride and bragging right. You think this match will not enter football history book? You can see the writeup by yourself............ "their first defeat to an African side in 22 meetings" That's the record big teams normally try to maintain for prestige sake not minding if it's friendly or not. Just admit that this current England squad are woke! |
JoeEeL:Ohh,ok. |
You maybe surprised that even that US doctor that attended to her might be a Kenyan. With all the trend of medical professionals to abroad, expecially US , there's a possibility that she will be delivered of the babies by a doctor from her state/country she ran away from. |
Omoawoke: @she will born a foolish daughter for you |
JoeEeL:Don't talk about her leg,she is a senior citizen and a mother. We don't talk about body part of an old person. As we grow old,a lot of things changes in our body. You can talk about this their so called challenge and not her body. |

Zionmdde:I said it in the thread that was talking about Amaechi denouncing his Igbo heritage that every Emeka,Uchenna,Infeayi,Ngozi,Adaeze in Delta state and Rivers state is an Igbo person. Also, any Adeyemi, Balogun,Oluwakemi,Fumilayo,Tunde, Adebayo from Delta,Kwara and or Kogi is a Yoruba person. If the person doesn't like it that way,she or he should first of all change and deny such name before denying his larger tribe. You cannot bear such typical traditional names of people as I mentioned above and be arguing about your ethnicity. To me,it does not always make any sense to me at all. Name and language is an important symbol of ethnic identity. |
Kemetian:Have you been to any American social media news forum and you don't see the same thing Nigerians have been doing here? |

Penguin2:So they are not aware that a lawyer (Fashola) was made minister of works in this country and heaven didn't fall? My friend who graduated as a microbiologist is now a banker in one of the new generation banks and she is doing well. Those guys are unserious people. So leave them. |

Very brave comrades demanding a better Nigeria today and for us and our children tomorrow. Bravo galant comrades! |
yemobrown:But one person up there is trying to convince everybody that students didn't always protest during military rule. That if they do,they will be in prison or got k...I..lll all. That it's only in this democracy that students can protest. Nawa..oo! |
irunoko:That means you don't know the role of students unionism in shaping the governance of a country. Don't you know student union is a pressure group? Do you know the role of pressure group in larger political settings? Meanwhile, who told you the lecture didn't concern the students? Was the lecture meant for the management alone or for the university community? In fact, looking at the lecture topic very critically, one will notice that it was even meant for the students more than the management. It talks about future leadership. Go back and read the topic again. |
aribisala0:You are saying trash! Name and language are the first symbols of ethnic/tribe identity. If 90% of Spanish and Portuguese language are the same as you said, what does that tells you? Doesn't that tells you that they are the same people from the same ancestry? You should have asked yourself, why is the English language you compared there not the same with other two despite being in the same Europe? That shows the English people are not from the same origin with them. Then coming back to Nigeria and to this thread proper. If you come down to the part of S/S that I'm from, and somebody or even a child ask you, what is your name? And you answer,my name is Nnadozie Emeka. The person wouldn't even bother to ask your ethnicity again,he/she will automatically call you an Igbo man. But if you say,I am Balogun Adewale, the person will automatically identify you as a Yoruba. And I strongly believe and I know so too that,if somebody go to a village in Ekiti for instance ,and mention his name as Emeka Chinedu, the first thing that will come to the Ekiti person's mind will be that the person is an Igbo man. The same thing will happen if you go to Hausa land and say you are Ngozi Infeayi Okowa, you will automatically be identified by the Hausa man as an Igbo lady. So in summary, your name and language is your identity. You cannot bear Tunde Bukola Adeyemi and come from Kogi or Kwara or even Delta states and you tell us or Hausa man that you are not a Yoruba man.You will explain tire ,u no go fit convince us cos de evidence is clear. In the same vein, you cannot bear Obi,Okowa, Amaechi,Emeka,Chukwuma,Amokachi as your surname and tell my people here or other people in Nigeria that you are not an Igbo man simply because you are from Delta or Rivers states. So,if you don't want us to call you a Yoruba man bcuz you are from Kwara or Kogi, then stop bearing Adewale,Oyedepo, Adeyemi, Bukola as your surname and nobody will identify you with the Yoruba ethnicity again. Also,if you are from Rivers or Delta and you want people to stop calling you an Igbo man, then stop bearing Emeka, Amaechi, Infeayi, Nyesom,Nnabueze,Okoro,Okowa ,Okocha as your surname and nobody will call you an Igbo man again. Why are the Igbos not saying we the Effiongs,Basseys,Okons,Affiongs,Ekaettes,Ekengs, Ekpeyongs,Udofias,Akpabios,Akpans are Igbos despite being in the same S/S zone with the Ikwerres and Aniomas? They can't cos our surnames are not the same.We can only see ourselves as brothers but from different ancestry with distinct surnames and language. So enough of all this back and forth identity crisis from the people of that sides. They are Igbos by names and language irrespective of their states or geopolitical zones.Else, they should stop speaking the same language of Igbo and bearing Igbo names. Everybody should answer their Papa name. |
Will he lost his seat as a governor for defecting to a new party? The answer is no But if it is House of Assembly members now,the governors will run their mouths kprak krak kprak declaring their seats vacant. But this their own that they are cross-carpeting as they like, who declare their seats vacant? Was it not in that same state that Akpabio as a governor declared the seats of about 4 HoA members vacant for defecting to this same APC? Udom Emmanuel did the same to about 6 HoA members till their tenure finished, they didn't collect a dyme as salary neither did their constituencies benefits anything in terms of representation through out the remaining period of their tenure. And today, that same Akpabio defected to APC as a serving senator, nobody declare his seat vacant. Umoh Eno has defected, nobody declare his seat vacant. Tomorrow,Udom might defect too and nobody will declare his seat vacant if he will hold any elected office by then. So,my question is,was that section of the law made for members of the state legislature only? |
