The mother also should be held responsible for her immorality role towards her daughter. She also caused the death of her daughter by allowing her immoral lifestyle.
Some of this things you people are saying are not always as simple as you people said.
What do you really think a woman who is advanced in age can do to a grown up lady who has finished university and probably come back from youth service in terms of discipline?

“The couple had been dating since her 100-level days, and their relationship had always been toxic. The victim, whose parents reside in Ketu, often spent weekdays at her boyfriend’s place, only going home on weekends"

“On Wednesday night, around 8:30 pm, she received a call from him and went to see him"

“Neighbours reported hearing her voice on Wednesday night but did not intervene, as fights between the couple were frequent"

100 level student having a live-in boyfriend with her parents/family's knowledge...Neighbors playing the mind-your-business game (You can actually mind your business and not intervene directly but you call at least inform the relevant authorities) Her family also failed her.
We now live in a twisted society.
So what do you want the neighbours to do?
Try any form of friendly or neighbourly advice to the so called year 1 girl and see the kind of insults she will park in basket and give to you.
You will be like, who sent me?
Even if their so called boyfriends are beating them to pulp and you secreatly tell the girl to leave so he won't kill her one day,you will hear a pathetic reply like....yes,I know he always beat me a lot ,but Brother,I love him so much that I can't stay a day without him.
You will be like, owohhhh,is the brain of some of this girls functioning well?
So is better as a neighbour, you learn to mind your business to avoid insult until they see the consequences by themselves one day.

Was it not yesterday in one of the threads about granting of new licences to build 3 new private refineries that some people were jubilating that it would bring down the price of fuel?
And I told them that there is no amount of refineries that would be built that can bring down the price of fuel.
My argument was partly based on things like this.
The cabals responsible for this huge amount of importation cannot allow the local producers to sell below their landing cost.
Besides, they cabal won't even sell crude oil to you in the price that will allow you to sell lower than the imported ones.
It's a well planned game to milk ordinary Nigerians dried through high cost of fuel while the cabals that owns refineries abroad and are into importation of this magnitude continue to feed fat on our Commonwealth.
Yet,a lot of people are still believing this government and are patiently waiting for Dangote and Co to bring down the price as if Dangote is the FG that increases the pump price and we were all here keeping quiet about it when they announced it
Make una continue to wait for price reduction, una go wait till Christ comes back again.

It has really blinded the eyes of so many people.
Even with this news,a lot of people will still argue with you that importation has stopped.
That all the petrol we are using now are refined in Warri and PH refineries and Dangote.
Tell them now that FG owned refineries will not be allowed to function bcuz they all owned refineries abroad, their supporters will blindly argue with you as if their lives depend on it.

humberjade:
The only way to beat this is for local refiners to crash the price of petroleum products, and the govt desist from subsidising same.
It's like some of you don't even understand anything about oil politics in Nigeria.
How will the local refineries crash the price?
How is FG selling of crude oil to the local refineries that will enable them crash down the price?
Didn't you read in the media that Dangote refinery bought part of his crude oil from the US when FG initially refused to sell crude to him?
Then you did not also read the news that Dangote said he cannot fix the price for his product that the FG through NNPCL is the one that will fix the price?
Also, importation of fuel will not stop in Nigeria bcuz those that would have stopped it are the ones owning the refineries in Saudi,Malta, Singapore,Trinidad, etc.
So if they stop importation, how do you want those their abroad based refineries to function?
The poor masses are in for a very long thing!

The most funniest thing is that even the ladies that have never cross the shores of Nigeria are the ones copying this oyibo ways of life the most.

But now according to so many definitions of sexual harassment springing up such as this one by Lauretta Oniche,if you try it now, you are in for a long thing.

Politics › Re: NMDPRA Issues Licences To Three Oil Companies To Construct Refineries by Pacesetter123(m): 8:17pm On Mar 08, 2025
Mamaafrik1:
These are the moves that will reduce the price and further make the product readily available.
No, there's no amount of refinery built that can reduce the price of fuel in Nigeria.
If this present administration had allowed market forces to determine the price of fuel after the removal of subsidy, this proliferation of local refineries would have brought about competitiveness and subsequently force down the price of fuel.
But as soon as PBAT resumed office as a president,he removed fuel subsidy.
He did not stop there,he increased the price of fuel thrice or so in his first year in office. He did not also stop there,he went further to fix the price for Dangote petrol and by extension,to every other upcoming producers so as to favour the importers who are majorly past and present politicians.
So fixing of price of fuel at 900 and something naira for the producers was a deliberate attempt by this present government to ensure that those who built refineries abroad can still continue to import fuel from those their refineries into the country and break even. And this is the primary cause of hardship in this country presently. So any new refinery that start producing fuel will follow the template already set by the FG.So no price would be reduced.

It's only Dangote refinery that is working.

That's the mischief the Supreme Court did

They clearly stated "They are not members of APC"

But did not state

"They left PDP"

Cus the whole world knows they left PDP.
No,they did not leave PDP.
Did their various ward chairmen or secretaries receive their resignation letters officially?
Until then, they are still official members of the PDP.
The governor they submitted their resignation letters to wasn't the right person they should have.
The Attorney General of the state fails woefully in his duty to advise the governor well on this matter.
Politics › Re: The 27 Members Of Rivers Assembly Are Not APC Members - Supreme Court by Pacesetter123(m): 8:21am On Mar 06, 2025
Eriokanmi:
Court dwells on evidence to adjudicate as you know. They all submitted a written letter with their signatures well appended to Fubara, ceasing to be members of the PDP. Even if they're not card carrying or registered members of the apc or any political party, the road is clear enough. That will be used against them.

It's just like you resigning from working with a company. Whichever company you joined or whatever you do with your life subsequently is none of your ex-empkoyer's business. You cannot resign and now want to come back to work. That letter you submitted is enough to nail you, should you wish to play smart.

When the supreme court said the law makers aren't members of the apc, the court was right. They're also not members of the pdp. The letters they submitted is a proof.
You are almost right with this your analogy and submissions but you are not totally right.

Firstly, let me start with your analogy of a company staff resigning.
Yes, it's true that when once you resign from a company it's not their business whether you have joined another company or not.
But the main issue is this, how do you chanel your resignation letter in a company?
You cannot just see a Cleaner or even your colleague in a company ,for instance, and say take my resignation letter,am no longer with this company.
That your action is null and void bcuz the Cleaner is not the appropriate person or office you should have tendered your resignation to.
Whatsoever happened to Head of Human Resources or MD/CEO of that company!

Secondly,in the case of Fubara and the 27 House members, you said they submitted their resignation letters to Fubara (Governor).
The question you should ask yourself is,was the governor the right person or office they should have tendered their resignation to?
The Constitution is very clear on this.
Take your resignation to your ward chairman or ward secretary.
When you register as a party member, you did it at ward level and was issued a membership card.
You cannot register as a member of a political party in governor's office, therefore you cannot resign there too.
So for them to have submitted their resignation letters to the governor in the first place was an illegality on its own.
The judgment is fairly based on the spirits and letters of the law.

I am not a supporter of either Wike or Fubara.
But I am commenting on the basis of this judgement.

Did the House elect the legislator?
This is like blues from the unknown. What happens to the recall clause in the constitution?

If the House cannot declare seat vacant,is it the governor that has the power to do so as he did with the 27 members?
