At any given time,to me, subsidy removal by government without functional refineries is a bad policy and should vehemently be resisted by the people. Goodluck Jonathan was wrong to have removed subsidy without having a single refinery that refines fuel locally. Coming back to Tinubu's regime, Tinubu's subsidy removal is even worse than that of Jonathan's. This is because Tinubu was the one that itemized all the things Jonathan should have done before removing subsidy.Number one of those things he said was building refineries and starting local refining before removal. But that same person now came into power, have the mind to remove subsidy without doing none of those things he told Goodluck to do before removing subsidy. That makes his own removal worse than Goodluck because he knew long long time ago the sufferings, hardship, widespread hunger and total economy collapse that will visit Nigeria and Nigerians for removing subsidy without refinery and he still went ahead and removed it. That means it's a deliberate policy by this present administration to intentionally punish the masses with hunger and unnecessary economic hardship. He and his supporters are now telling us the Nigeria youths to endure and give him more time.Did we give Jonathan anytime at all ,let alone more time? Goodluck was elected in May 29th,2011.In January,2012 the whole Nigeria with the backing of those in power today (Which I supported then no doubt) went on "Occupy Nigeria protest". How long was that government when we protested? Just 6 months only. And today, one full year plus has gone already and some tribal bigots and beneficiaries of corrupt system are saying there should be no protest. That protest is not the solution. That this government is still at baby stage. What a sentimental and hypocritical people they are!!! |
janedonez:Ahh,nah men dem from Intelligent/secret services from both countries wey you see so...oo. Dem hold national secret. |
So na only Putin hold the citizens of about 7 powerful western nations for him gulag n dem no fit do am anything? Na to go negotiate with am for exchange? If so,dat man nah steel and iron God take create am. Russia dey too powerful abeg |
Ola9ja23:See as you dey dey happy as government agency dey kill innocent protesters. God is watching you! |
Where is Wike that was bosting that there can never be protest in Abuja? Where is he hiding now? |
Salewa97:Which other solutions do you want them to find other than the protest they are doing? The government that created the problems did not find solution to them, it's the oppressed, hungry, traumatized and demoralized youths that you are advising to find a solution to problems they didn't create. Nawa for you..oo |
Asquare84:Shut up!!! |
God bless that patriotic woman and that elderly man am seeing in the picture. They are seeking the betterment of this country bastardized by our evil leaders. |

premierlead:Hmmmmm, this country sharrr. E get as e be..ooo |
ItsTutsi:Yes,I know it's from the world bank but meant to mitigate the impact of COVID 19 pandemic on the citizens. And it passes through the FG through the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster management previously but now through ministry of planning and economy. Check the caption and the write up in that memo.So I didn't follow the caption from the onset. Those who followed the caption think it's the normal statutory allocation from FAAC. So I won't totally agree with you that FG has nothing to do with i as you said..The money like every other grants passes through them. The world bank didn't disburse the money directly to states. It is the FG that did the allocation and the disbursement to states based on the social register they have. |
So these enemies of Nigeria has been building refineries/blending plants in far away foreign land and import sub-standard refined petroleum products into the country and still get awuff money from the FG in the name of subsidy? This same people connived with the foreign powers to frustrate every effort to revamp our ailing refineries so as to continue to benefit from the corrupt system. And when the patriotic youths from my N/Delta region build their own modular refineries and refined fuel to crash down the arbitrary increase in pump price, the same cabal will tagged it "illegal refinery" and send military to go and burnt and destroy them instead of giving them licenses to operate and get taxes from them God will p u ni s h you people one by one |
premierlead:It's like you are very far from the current happenings in the oil sector. I don't know what you are even saying your own. Are you sure you are commenting on the topic under discourse here? |
And his children who schooled in abroad and flexing life with Nigeria money don't also deserve to suffer hardship and see it as the WILL of God? Him and others saying protest is not the solution bla bla bla,I read through that their useless statements without seeing any place they said this is the solution since protest is not. The people wey dia mumu never do till now |
PortHarcourtcit:Why him no go put? |
Anambra and Kaduna no get COVID 19 cases ni? |
