When the Europeans first discovered Africa they initiated trading of goods and services and gave some Africans kingdoms what they wanted, those ancient Africans must had also thought the Europeans were generous and meant well for them until they came with their Army and plundered and pillaged Africa.

We are making the same mistakes again with China because we are too dumb to figure out anything on our own, tomorrow when the Chinese take control of Africa economy and your generation can only serve under them you won't blame your stupidity and lack of vision.

China is currently fighting India because of Tibet, china is in dispute with Japan because of Taiwan and ofcourse South Korea knows its because of the USA that they still exist up till today. The reason people run to China to produce is basically because of two things, cheap manufacturing cost and cheap labour, nothing special, so you find many foreign companies going there to produce and everyone feels China is amazing. Its just like you setting up a company in Ghana but mainly servicing the Nigerian marker because its easy to produce in Ghana than here.
One advantage the USA has over its allies is having bases near their enemies while their enemies can't have anything close to their soil and the allies factor, aside China and North Korea every other Pacific power eg Japan,South Korea, Australia, Singapore, etc are American allies with great military capability.
Note I'm talking about convention warfare and not nuclear warfare because everybody will die regardless of which side yurr on.
