Been ages. My stay so far has been nothing short of amazing. From backflipping on the escalator in Frankfurt to making egusi with sunflower oil, the nice folks, a taste of world class education(Being taught by likes of Professors who wrote software codes for Boeing airplanes has to count for something right?), und so weiter. Just come with a clear head, positive energy, and grab you some deutsch! (Ever heard of the invisible padlock? The one that Locks your mouth even when you have so much to say? ) No come turn deaf & dumb for here Please learn you some. I have a feeling that could be one of the factors that frustrate some here. Wishing the incomings the best. I'd love to help few peeps applying for summer or winter -specifically those that couldn't make it again this winter even after being admitted, for visa issues. If re-applying to multiple Uni's I wouldn't mind forwarding your docs (the normal cheatcode of packing all sets in one big envelope and sending to me while I disperse to the various uni's) and maybe paying one or two uniassist fees -all free of charge. Just for a few peeps. So please hit the pm button whenever, I'll be an email away. Viel Glück. #Ws16. 15 Likes |

thatafricanchic: Accommodation at Siegen shouldn't be stressful. Just visit the studentenwerk Siegen site. You'd download a form which you'll fill out and submit either via email or with the help of someone already in Siegen. Costs about €20 or so i can't recall. An early application could guarantee an apartment and they are quite cheap. You could pm @kelvinpam - Oga Siegen. 1 Like |

dilahel: They just want a fresh copy of your passport data page. Just make two clear copies and also go with your passport and have them certified at the consulate (you might need an appointment for this) then send it to DB via post. The additional potential pages are for those whose passports , maybe, carry the signature and issuing authority part on a separate page. Our dear Naija passport has all on one page. I guess they also attached a form to fill in ur details for easy matching to your previous form All the best. 1 Like |

Katechuks:Hallo, Tell her to write her school explaining that visa processing takes quite a while in her home country and it would be quite a shame if that hinders her starting her studies this winter. Then let her focus on her interview. They would surely extend the enrollment deadline for her. I know someone who just did this recently and her deadline was shifted from 8th September (Ikr?)to about middle of October and she is done with interview already. I believe she has applied for her DB account. Once it drops she should come and take a skinny-dip with us in this forex pool, the water is warm...,and try funding if possible before her interview on the 1st of September (This could even do the trick without enrollment extension ) Winter16' I hail oo. It's not beans . but dem no get choice but to let us go....cos we no get choice too. P.S. My heart goes out to München, the mall shooting .Eke et al ya'll should stay tight. 7 Likes 1 Share |

iamzizou:Why did you let the "lil issue" linger till now? That's like one of the most important docs to them for some reason (the scratch card inclusive). If a court affidavit can fix the issue you should do so asap. "Incomplete applications would be rejected free of charge". |

Nnamdyjoe:Could be a little blend of both. Why you want to study your course in Germany. domex007:You could say you are learning via self-study or if your school offers German tutorials you could mention that too n say you'll learn when you go over. It doesn't affect your visa processing once your programme is English taught(Just shows preps you've made for your stay in Deutschland I guess) okezie007:Any "a.m mail" you receive from the embassy within 5days after your interview could spell disaster. Anything asides an email to fund your account=99.8% rejection. 1 Like |

Interview was earlier in the week. My transcript. Went in 6:30am. Did my biometrics, paid visa fee, submited my docs and my file was created and visa receipt given to me. I wrote my SOP in 10mins, submitted and waited for my interview. After attending to those for DB opening et al my interview started around 11/12pm. -Do you speak deutsch? -Where did you learn? -To what level? -Why Germany? -Why do you wana study this course? -Why not in the UK or US? -How did you get to know about the school n course? -How did you apply? -How much did you pay to uniassist? -What docs did you submit during application? -What response did you get after application? -Plans after studies? -Timeline from primary school till date. -Your course structure. -All modules from 1st-4th semester. -Means of sponsorship? -Parents occupation? -Name of company? -Bsc project topic? (And she googled it n blew me questions related to it) -List textbooks you used during your Bachelors (Ikr? She typed all) -Tell me more about your intended course of study (and she was googling n asking me questions related) -Got family in Germany? -Friends? -Name of course coordinator? -Ever applied for a German or schengen visa? -Tell me bout your city? -Name of your mayor? -Spell it? -Population of your city, state, n germany? -Kinda system of government practised in Germany? -Name of president & chancellor & their parties? -Name all German states? -Neighbouring countries? -How have you been preparing for your stay in Germany? -Made accommodation arrangements? Ayt, you'll be contacted via e-mail. Byee.(gave me back my passport) My tips: -Practice writing your SOP in 10mins before your interview. -Chow before going cos the worms in your tummy will gain free entry visa to all parts of your Gastrointestinal tract before you even get to talk to the VO. You can also say you don't have your prepaid courier envelope and you'll be asked to go get it after writing your SOP. Then you can use that opportunity to go eat/drink something. Won't be fun watching those security guys pulling out plates from the microwave and 1-litre sprite bottles by 11am while you wait for your interview with growling stomach. -You might also be given a written test as the dude before me got softened with some math questions. Ciao. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

louisilva: Two weeks after sending the account opening form I filled the contact form on DB's site and got the email below the same day: Thank you for your message. After having received your complete documents at the student department (Deutsche Bank Privat- und Geschaeftskunden AG, Auslaendische Studenten, Alter Wall 53, 20457 Hamburg), the handling time for opening a blocked account is approximately 2 weeks at the moment. After that you will get a confirmation eMail. You will also receive a message, if any information is missing. Please note, that Deutsche Bank doesn’t send receipt notifications. Please check your spam folder regulary because the eMails get sorted out sometimes. If you haven’t received any notice from Deutsche Bank after the time mentioned, please use the contact form on our website https://www.deutsche-bank.de/pfb/content/pk-konto-und-karte-international-students.html?pfb_tab=34880-34883 Please select “Non customer” and fill in all the details. After that you will get a reply within 1 to 2 weeks. We thank you for your assistance and wish you a pleasant day. Kind regards, Your Deutsche Bank Alexander Both. Then I checked out the new contact form and filled it out. Got the email below today: Thank you for your reply. Please note that the handling time for these requests is a little longer than usual at the moment due to the large amount of applications. We are confident that you will receive an eMail within the next week.Thank you for your patience and have a pleasant day. Kind regards, Your Deutsche Bank Alexander Both Then I got my DB details a few minutes after that. P.S. I sent my account opening form on the 25th of May and got it today. Hope you find this useful while also laughing at the guy's name that sent me the mails |

- @the_incomplete_application_guy; there might be a chance you applied for more than 3courses without Numerus Clausus at the school hence they bounced the others, uni-assists's Englisch for that is also "incomplete application". So check again. |
