I believe the redline speed is to be reached slowly. Maybe on a very long smooth road, you take it up gently so the car can adjust by itself all that needs to keep the car ok .
Butbif you force it to suddenly redline, it will not work for safety reasons.

Just like your seatbelt. If you lean forward slowly, you can pull it and even touch your toes. If you jerk forward suddenly, it does not extend at all.

I think so. But even on 240km/h which is my car's max speedometer; it never gets there. It stops at 8,000 rpm.

If it's an old car, they will tell you that they are flushing the carbon from the exhaust pipe or better still tell you that they are making sure the spark plugs are firing fine.

There are some cars that no matter how hard you press the throttle it will never redline..A car like Chrysler Sebring...Some european cars like that..

I believe most modern cars are like that. I think you can only rev the engine to that level when the car is on neutral.

It's the same thing with the speedometer, it is expected you drive 100km/h max. Then you might want to ask, why then do the manufacturers choose to allow the cars make 180km/h or 220km/h or even 360km/h for some cars?

They are smart, well cultured and highly trained in defensive driving. They know how to manoeuvre the vehicle to a safe place, especially when the boss is attacked.
