Saving money is a poor man's idea. Please, learn to INVEST. When the money gets to a certain level buy a piece of land or buy jewelry (like GOLD earrings, necklaces, bangles, rings etc) they don't depreciate like keeping the money in the account. Although, having cash most times would be of advantage; like buying goods or property from a desperate person cheaper than usual. Good luck.

City driving burns more fuel than highway driving because of the stop-and-go nvolved in city driving and the fact that the engine hardly had time to warm up and enter closed loop. Try doing highway driving and watch your mpg substantially improve...


Also try not to drive aggressively, as excessive acceleration and braking can sometimes halve your fuel economy.

Also check your vehicle for binding brakes. As in check weda any of the brakes no dey release the tyre fully after release.

Lastly, the best fuel economy trick is to not drive the vehicle... Park am, cover am with tarpaulin, and watch your fuel consumption go down to zero.

Oga nothing is wrong with your fuel consumption, the car consumes what it designs to take. I drive Camry am doing 9-10km so no complain. Stop wasting your money and time on what is not there

My car Toyota Avensis 2010 is making 9.3 km/l or 10.9 l/100km city.
I did the following but no improvement:
1) Oxygen sensor replaced
2) MAF and throttle body cleaned
3) Spark plugs changed
4) Air filter cleaned
5) Fuel filter cleaned
6) Brake pads changed
7) Fuel injectors cleaned
Ignition coil (1) replaced
9) Catalytic converter burnt/removed

Please advise what I should do next.
