This porc will rot in hell. He ordered French troops to kill ivorian civilians in November 2004 in support of the rebellion led by Allassane Ouattara the criminal illegal immigrant from Burkina Faso. French troops used helicopters gunships and other heavy weapons killing hundreds of children , women and men and wounding thousands of people. |

Even if the House impeached him, the senate will defeat the outcome . Why ? There are 100 senators . Here are the figures Out of the 100 Republican 53 Democrat 45 Independent 2 The constitution requires 2/3 of the senate ( 67 senators) approval for the impeachment . Suppose all Democrat and Independent senators vote Yes for impeachment, they will still need at least 20 more republican senators to join them. It is quite impossible in this trench warfare. |

Been there a month ago
Outside, when you pass this open steel ball representing planet Earth , you see to your right some plastic bottles and some cans on the floor stuck in a net. You will first think that the lazy janitors out there didn' t do their job ( cleaning the yard ). No , it is the work of an artist educating people about the danger of those millions of plastic waste people dump in the ocean on daily basis around the world.
Once you go through the doors in front of you to your left there are all those drawings and pictures talking about the need to educate children (girls in particular). To the right there is a bronze statue of a man . Hard to know who it is first , but when you get closer you can read GIFT OF SOUTH AFRICA TO THE UNITED NATIONS.
it is Mandela. The artist was not skillful at all. It proves how cheap the South African government is. The small statue is about 5 feet high, not even close to Mandela' s real height and it does not look like him. Inside the UNGA . You expect to see those expensive shining desks and chairs, and those colorful carpets that strike the eyes in African presidential palaces . NO ! The desks are just the ones you would see in a teacher lunchroom at a high school. Kind of surprising ! The UN is perhaps engaging in some public relation campaign to make the world believe they are not wasting those billions they get every years from world governments. Big lie ! |

Jkay187: STFU african leaders should stop making their people economic migrants and refugees, that is the problem. When will africans start to hold their leaders accountable for the lack of opportunities in their countries. It is high time that you stop running away from your countries and become a burden on your neighbors who are poor themselves, which leads to social unrest.
Start by treating the causes not symptoms, people should feel free to migrate but not forced into it by useless african leaders. The ANC had many refugees in many African countries when the white man was kicking you behind out there. Short-brained. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: America: Do Sanctions Work? by panafrican(m): 9:10am On Sep 24, 2019 |
dermmy: Governments and multinational bodies impose economic sanctions to try to alter the strategic decisions of state and nonstate actors that threaten their interests or violate international norms of behavior but the question is do these sanctions produce their desired results?
Iran has been under US sanctions since 1979 revolution and this country was still able to build one of the most powerful militaries in middle east and it is ranked as the 14th most powerful military in the world. As the country's economy continue to receive death blows from the United States the Iranian government isn't showing any sign of capitulation even this economic warfare has emboldened the regime in Iran. As a response to this the country has been scaling back its commitment to the JCPOA deal.
I can say the sanction is pushing the regime towards getting a nuclear weapon.
RUSSIA
After the annexation of Crimea by the Russian federation US and EU countries rolled out series of sanctions on Russia but as usual it emboldened Vladimir Putin by going into Syria to prop up Assad's regime which was met with sanctions too but the government in Russia didn't succumb to all these western sanctions. The world has seen a more assertive Russia.
Venezuela, Cuba, Noth Korea are countries that have shown defiance to US/western sanctions. When you sanction a country ordinary civilian suffer the effect unlike the political elites who have amassed wealth for themselves
Do sanctions produce their desired result or the opposite? Is this a disguised call for a military action against Iran ? Hope not. |

illitrate: Wrong, how then did the mossad get the Houthis to claim responsibility? Today they threatened to hit Abu Dhabi and dubai with thesame drones, thesame Yemeni general saree said it. 1.The Houthis could just claim responsibility out of anger due to what they are going through . We all know when two enemies fight , one side would celebrate and claim responsibility if something bad happened to the other side. 2. Mossad and the Saudis might well be the ones pretending to be Houthis. They used the same misleading techniques in Libya and Syria where many of their agents in pro Assad or pro Gaddafi fighters uniform were committing horrendous crimes . |

Fabricated nonsense. The Saudis staged that attack with the help from Mossad , an Israeli intelligence agency. The goal is simple 1. Raise the cost of crude and earn more money that can help fund their war in Yemen 2. Make people forget about the upcoming (first) anniversary of the killing of Jamal Khashoggi 3. Push the US to destabilize Iran |

Saudi Arabia' s chickens are coming home to roost Drone strikes knock out half of Saudi oil capacity, 5 million barrels a day By John Defterios and Victoria Cavaliere, CNN Business Updated 6:04 PM EDT, Sat September 14, 2019
Abu Dhabi (CNN Business)Drone strikes on crucial Saudi Arabian oil facilities have disrupted about half of the kingdom's oil capacity, or 5% of the daily global oil supply, people with knowledge of Saudi's oil operations told CNN Business.
Yemen's Houthi rebels on Saturday took responsibility for the attacks, saying 10 drones targeted state-owned Saudi Aramco oil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais, according to the Houthi-run Al-Masirah news agency.
Five million barrels per day of crude production have been impacted after fires raged at the sites, one of them the world's largest oil production facility, people with knowledge of the kingdom's operations said. The latest OPEC figures from August 2019 put the total Saudi production at 9.8 million barrels per day.
A source told CNN Business that Aramco "hopes to have that capacity restored within days."
The Saudi interior ministry confirmed the drone attacks caused fires at the two facilities. In a statement posted on Twitter, the ministry said the fires were under control and that authorities were investigating.
"Abqaiq is perhaps the most critical facility in the world for oil supply. Oil prices will jump on this attack," Jason Bordoff, founding director of the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, said in a statement.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo pinned the attack directly on Iran, which backs the Houthi rebels. "Iran has now launched an unprecedented attack on the world's energy supply. There is no evidence the attacks came from Yemen," he said on Twitter.
The development comes as Saudi Aramco takes steps to go public in what could be the world's biggest IPO. Aramco attracted huge interest with its debut international bond sale in April. It commissioned an independent audit of the kingdom's oil reserves and has started publishing earnings. Over the past two weeks, the kingdom has replaced its energy minister and the chairman of Aramco.
Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, has cut back on production of crude and other energy products as part of an OPEC effort to boost prices. Saudi Arabia produces approximately 10% of the total global supply of 100 million barrels per day.
The International Energy Agency, or IEA, said on Saturday it was monitoring the situation in Saudi Arabia. "We are in contact with Saudi authorities as well as major producer and consumer nations. For now, markets are well supplied with ample commercial stocks," it said on Twitter. |
